  1. re bubble: that's a neat idea with the injection of glue, but how do you know that behind it is something appropriate to be glued? ie. how do you know that behind there is a piece of plastic, and the material hasn't split in half? the bubble on my passenger side is pretty hard to push down so i'm not sure anything like glue would hold for long. i try to ignore it.

yeah i waited ages to find one with minimal mods too. do some courses with murcotts (www.murcotts.com.au). i'm booked in for level 1 (defensive) and level 2 in the coming months.

no... listen to them just don't become what they're referring to is it a GTS-t or GTS?
  4. looking mean. by the look of the car, i want your driveway! congratulations
  5. not nice to hear... what happened and how did it end up being 50/50 between you and the other party? hope repairs go smoothly
  6. you need to make sure they are covering the damage costs. my car's front bar only swiped the tow truck because it's at stock ride height with stock front bar. there were straps pulling it up from under the front bar, so when it did swipe it, it didn't scratch or push it up at all. i'm sure there's always a way in doing it correctly with low cars.
  7. well... most of the time since the change it's been fine, but once so far the pressure has dropped down to almost zero. so i let it sit there for a while watching it, drove off and it jumps up again and next idle it didn't drop back down. maybe the sending unit. we all have the same cars, same ages, same rate of failure. next time it happens we'll tap the sending unit with a wrench and see what the guage reads
  8. yeah we've been doing it against what's in the manual. we put new oil in today... thicker oil. on the first drive it was slightly better... but after a longer while it was much better and back to how it was before. happy days for now. we went to repco planning on getting 0w-40... ended up getting mobil 1 5w-50
  9. nice vid yukio... no shortage of hot cars in the club
  10. me either... the video was lame too top gear so far for season 6... episode 1 http://www.mininova.org/tor/45869 22/05/05 episode 2 http://www.mininova.org/tor/48857 29/05/05 episode 3 http://www.mininova.org/tor/55713 12/06/05 episode 4 http://www.mininova.org/tor/59359 19/06/05 episode 5 http://www.mininova.org/tor/63104 26/06/05 episode 6 http://www.mininova.org/tor/67108 03/07/05
  11. indeed, i wouldn't put in 50 because it wouldn't get around the engine quick enough. the pressure guage does not necessarily correspond with oil flow either. at 3000rpm i believe it was a bit under 2. it was just the idle pressure that worried me. next time i'll be using the nissan 7.5w-30.
  12. thanks for the replies lads. after researching, i'm pretty sure it's to do with the second number in the oil i'm running. i'm using 5w-30 ... if i were running an oil with the second number as 50, ie. higher viscosity at higher temp, it just might fix the problem. but seeing as the problem isn't really much of a problem, i'll leave it till next time. oh and also... i think the reason this happened months after the oil had been changed was because the oil's molecules got broken down over time making it thinner when the engine was up to it's running temperature :bananaman
  13. wowzers!!! :drooling: looking very nice, indeed. if that car were a lock, it would be as sexy as this lock - :lock:
  14. and put a .au at the end of sapi damnit
  15. neither... don't pick between 2 cars, both with problems. that makes the whole thing a dilemma. wait longer for a better car. it's your money so you shouldn't be locked into those two.
  16. Hi guys, My oil pressure is suddenly way lower than it should be. Previously, if i'd turn it on, the oil pump would pump it straight up and the oil pressure guage would read 4. Now, however there's problems. The engine starts, oil pressure comes up to 4, but then drops way down after a few minutes. It idles at less than 1 on the guage, and when reved it doesn't come up to more than 2. Any help as to the reasons much appreciated... Sam hoping it's not the oil pump. ps. i noticed the problem after just getting onto sandown, turned it straight off and got a towtruck home to be safe lousy day that was.
  17. saweet. has changed a lot since i last saw pics of it!
  18. tharaka, how much did it cost?
  19. nicely done what i do is just think that 300kw is about 400hp. now, if only i had a nokia.
  20. legal tint: it looked a bit diff in the two shots i took, so here's both; one with ever so beautiful me... the more of an acute angle you look at it from, the darker it looks... but if you look from it side on, it's really light. if i were to do it on another car, i'd get darker than legal.
  21. you should find the date on the seatbelts... there's a piece of white material at the low bit of it (next to bottom of seat) which has details written on it. mine has it anyway...
  22. back in the day, everyone tried to hide their exhaust
