Anyone using anything above standard on the spark side of things. Different coil packs or such. For high powered R33s. Any performance gains?
-
Yeah thanks. I have already worked it out. Pretty simple once i took the time to look at it. Only unkown still is how long to let the rear links hang down?
-
Yes it has for me. Pretty much what I had assumed. Gary I have those Eibachs in and the rear springs in the front. No wheels yet to test it. Both springs now compress around 10mm at full drop so as above should be good. Interestingly the front springs I had (now removed) did unseat at full drop. Not too good I guess.

I have included a picture. Basically if I wind it up it compresses the spring and lengthens the shock so should make it ride higher. I dont have any wheels at the moment so cant drop it down and see what is actually happening.

18x8.5 +20 And 18x9.5 +20 Wheels On Gtst
grepin replied to grepin's topic in Suspension, braking and tyres
Yeah not going with them now. Have decided on 35 and 38 offsets. Wont be as deep dish look but will fit. -
Unlike the group buy I have Bilsteins with coil over slides which give me the height ajustability.
-
Pretty sure that if I close it up (compress the spring) it rides higher, however puts more preload on the spring.

Hi all who have fitted the kit. Looking at the sway bars the front only came with the two new nolathene bushes so I assume it still just uses the factory setup to fix to the end of the swaybars. The rear seems to have a whole lot of hardware to replace the lot. Is this correct. Just checking in case the bits have been mixed up. Thanks

Worked it out.

Potential silly question. For coil overs if you compress the spring does the ride height drop? Thinking that if you compress the spring it actually makes the bottom of the shock longer. This is where I am confused. Feel like a dumbass. Just hoped someone could help before I discover the hard way.

Who has a set of these fitted to their Skyline. Intersted to see in particular 8.5 and 9.5s fitted to their R33. Mainly to see if they still have the concave look or are more straight. Thanks

I have done a search as much as I can with the slow ass dial up I am currently using and have come to the conclusion that +20 offset in wheels 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 will not fit a R33 Gtst. I have been considering a second hand set of wheels in this sizing and the seller is convinced it will work. Can an idependant source confirm/deny for me that it wont work without pumping the guards. Thanks

Hi Maxx I have been sort of keen on these wheels but dont need the tyres. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...0entry1992095 Maybe we can get together and do a deal. Need to find the price on Firenza tyres I guess to start with.

I have a panasonic video that wont eject a tape. It just wants to power down. Video players probably are not worth having looked at by a professional as they charge just to tell you that its not fixable. If anyone here is handy around these things let me know. Happy to pay if it can be repaired I just need to know first. Thanks

No Insurance being one off. Should be OK. Hard to damage them as I have packed them + big item to loose. You get tracking numbers to go with it.
