  1. Ok just to put things in perspective. The avatar is my motor. Head as described, 2835ProS, highflow exhaust manifold, Greddy plenum, Q45 throttle body, large sparco intercooler and all pipework to match, Z32 airflow, PFC (rb25), 3.5 inch exhaust from the turbo. 285rwkw. 550cc inj setup on current head. Options: 1) Still have origonal head and all standard extras so if I remove my motor now I will have the full origonal stock motor as a defect motor. 2) 3L $5000-$10000 dollars. Plus loose some of my current pipework. 3) Build a 2.7L RB25 bottom end when mine goes. 4) RB26 Motor as sujested above. Need to buy all the turbos etc etc 5) RB26 Bottom end with my virtual RB26 head. Cheap option however is the bottom end any stronger than stock RB25 or should I say how long would it last running at say at a targeted 320rwkw.
  2. How about if I said a $1000 RB26 bottom end that had 30000km on it. Considering my RB25 bottom end is starting to breath a little.
  3. Possibly a silly question. Considering I have a RB25 head with RB26 265 cams, solid lifters etc and all the manifolds, turbo etc that goes with it. Would it be conceivable to bolt it onto a RB26 bottom end if It could be bought at the right price (low km). Would my current ECU still work with it?
  4. Nah not at all. Basically clean the face of your pads to stop them glazing over. Especially with the higher temperatures of track use.
  5. I took them in on Wednesday and got them back today at lunch. However I rang them to find out if they were ready. I also said no rush. It depends how much work is tooled up at the time of dropping them off. If you work it out with them it should be able to get done in a day.
  6. Just got my rotors back. Here is a pic.
  7. I have a hiperboost control i will sell if your interested. Bought it as hoped the wastegate control valve would help my boost drop at high revs however now realise the turbo is running out of puff. Works quiet well otherwise. Keeping my PFC boost controller. You can have it for half price posted for $200. Read about it here. http://www.hiperboost.com/
  8. Anyone running their car Saturday night as a pre workout for the nats?
  9. For the pair. $66 for slotting the pair. $40 if you need them faced. Think that would be the pair.
  10. Nah pulled them myself. It is dead easy. DIY on here I think may help. Pull off your wheels, two smaller bolts hold the bracket to your lines, two larger bolts hold on the calipers, slide off the calipers and fold behind as lines can now move, then pull off the rotor. To do it right there are two bolt holes to release the rotor however a rubber mallett taping the back will do it, they may even pull off by hand. If there are two white plastic locators on there they pop off with the rotor
  11. Thanks Kym Getting them slotted at K&A for $60+GST. They didnt need a machine however would cost an extra $40. So happy with that price. By the way when is the motor going in. Want to sell the short motor.
  12. Thanks I know and will do when mine are worn out. Howerver maybe a hundred dollars as against nearly $500 is just too much of a step up atmo.
  13. Wondering where in Adelaide I can have my front disc rotors slotted off my R33 and how much I expect to pay? Thanks
  14. I would like to see your dyno. Not that I dont believe you I would just like to see how a 3540 responds on a standard motor. For future reference. I am currently running a HKS 2835.
  15. My RB74 pads squealed even with the anti squeal stuff. The way to make them stop squealing is to shamfer each end of the pad a good half cent and about 30deg and put a slit half way across the pad about a 1/3 through. Thats what my mechanic did and I have had it on the track working fine.
  16. Yeah could be a little large compared to my 2835 ProS. Although it now is running out of puff since I have put GTR cams and valves in my head. I will do a search for more details.
  17. The GT3071R is not HKS but a new Garrett design. Read here :http://www.atpturbo.com/
  18. Sorry one further thing can precision repair HKS turbos? I need a compressor wheel replaced?
  19. What are the specs on the T66. Was this power made on a RB26? I am wondering what it may be like on a Rb25?
