    Who done the work mate??? what brand are the rod's??? and don't sell it short mate, sound's capable of much more than 300kw..
  3. should be some very tuff RB's, between Rod's 32 if you run (com'on mate!!), and Adrian Millington debuting his 440kw VL.. and we just sorted out Andy Kucs with a new RHR guard for his VL, and i saw his new oil pump on his engine bench the other day.. looking like a big year.. can't wait to get track side..
  4. Smart buying got me my Tilton unit complete pretty bloody cheap.. Pedal box $620 (got the pedalbox and accl pivot through Tas performance Wharehouse down here, Luke's a top bloke..) Accl pivot $190 Bias cable $65 Cylinder's $93ea 3 of 1x 5/8 1x3/4 and 1x11/16 and looked around at work for a fluid reservoir, so it was free!!!, some kind of old alfa thing.. Total just under $1200, plus around $300 for some new braided line's to plumb it into what i already have..$1500 is pretty cheap.. i only fitted mine to remove the ABS from my 32 GTR, and free up a heap of room in the engine bay, can actually get to my starter motor now, it does lower the centre of gravitly..., but if your gunna Build an RX7 it might be worth looking into swinging under dash gear, as i'm sure someone make's a bolt in kit....

I've had an OBP unit, and i on sold it because the qulailty just waas up to scratch, so i bought a Tilton 72-603 and it's a great piece of kit.. pedalbox's really are a get what you pay for sort of thing!! Room is the biggest thing, they take up a lot more than you think!, i had cut the floor on my GTR to fit it in.. the only other thing is, Tilton will quote you for the box, but it doesn't come with anything, you then have to buy the throttle pivot, and the balance cable which is another $350 ..

Given that he's broke, and couldn't really afford the tyre's that were on the car, i don't recon there's any truth in that at all.. i'll bet my left nut on Eddie being on the up and up, the guy is a freak behind the wheel... i'll tell you a story about Eddie going to help Vandenberg do a tyre test at baskerville one day, Jamie had done 2 40 lap run's on 2 different sets of tyre's, and couldn't get any more from his Evo 9, Eddie jump's in the thing, having never driven the car, on 40 lap old tyre's and ripped over a second off him...!!!!!!!! I HATE POOR LOSERS......

Can't get insurance on a permit Zoid!!!, how would you feel if some little uninsured half wit rear ended your pride a joy, and payed you back the thousands of dollars worth of damage they done at $25 a fortnight??? seen my share of permited car's get crashed between stage's at a rally, and it's not very often you see them again, as they can't afford the repair bill for there car, or the car/object they've hit..., don't for get the average Telstra roadside box have a $30000 price tag.. and you have to pay if you hit one!!!!!!!
  9. not just need Savman,have to have that bar is now compulsory.. as was mentioned, any car where the base of the front leg is more than 200mm from the bend at the top of the screen it must be fitted. this is measured along the the sill, measure from your front leg back along the seal 200mm if that top bend is further than 200mm you MUST have the bar.. the double roof bar is only needed if you plan to have a passanger, other changes are with the cross in the hoop, you used to get away with a cross between the rear leg's, and a diagonal in the hoop, but now you need a cross between you rear legs and a cross in the hoop.. i spent 2 weeks of back and forth email's to get exact wording on cage design, as parts of the cams manual contradict other parts!!! and as Toffy said you could get a MOD plate, but to do that you need removable intrution bar's, and it's a little to late for that now...
  10. i believe the CAMS scrutineers let Capt Phatom know that his Blown Rear diffuser woundn't be allowed at the next event!!! the exhaust finished just in front of the factory rear diffuser, don't know if there was any talk of Redbull being involved, but thats what i saw and heard...
  11. After what ever i need to fit a 4.1 crown wheel and pinoin to an R34 Vspec II have been told i need R33 GTR Vspec???, any truth in that??? Let me know what you can do.. Cheers Jon

My car isn't SI'd at the moment mate, have started the paper work on it.. your biggest drama will be your cams log book, you'll need to get the cage inspected, and fill in your ROP form ( Roll Over Protcetion), which means a trip to see Steve Caplice in at Fogarty Automotive, before that jump on the Cams website and see if you Cage measure's up to it requriments, in terms of Tube size and placement.. Couple of boy's at work have SI'd there Tarmac rally rocket's, they had cams Log book's already, and it took 2 months for the transport paper work to go through..

For SI rego, you will need Cams licence Cams Log book (you will need to get your Cams licence first, then apply for your log book, can take a month or so..) another car with full rego in your name, this is to avoid people using an SI regoed car as a daily driver Then you send all your paper work into transport, you wait to be approved can take 6-8 weeks then you do your regular Rego inspection, you pay your $220 for 12 months rego and they give you an SI log, and you have 52 day's you can drive your car per year.. one last thing SI rego is NOT transferable, so if you sell the car you have to cash in the rego..

Have been converting man former road car to a Hillclimb/ Tarmac rally/ time attack car, and now ahave a box of parts that are no longer needed.. they are Full set of ADR seatbelts with buckles $250 Frt brake caliper's (no rotor's) $150 Unique auto sport Frt caliper adaptor, to fit Vspec rotor's with standard caplier's $150 Alloy GTR bonnet, has been striped to bare alloy, and Etch primed $700 GTR clutch and brake pedal's, and been modified to move them back 75mm $125 GTR clutch and brake master cylinder's, with boosters $110 All the standard GTR control arm's, front and rear POA GTR front seat's, driver's seat is worn in the standard spot $300 set of white 17x8 6 spoke alloy's with 235/40 dunlop meduim semi's, still 80% $700 set of 255/40/17 dunlop road tyre's, 2 almost new 2 20% worn $250 will post up some picture's in the next few days..     Best way i've found to get a VIN, is to search the car you need it for on Trading post or Ebay, as you have to supply a VIN to sell on the site.. Cheers

    I wrecked an R33 4 door that someone had fitted a 32 GTR engine to, the loom had some mod's i'm pretty sure. i'll dig around in my parts section of the shed, and see if i still have it...
  22. Well we've got the Roll cage 70% done, hopfully get the car back in the next few day's!! if i have a crack, might even manage to get it painted over the christmas break..

R33 RB25DET, has is got a Front Mount Intercooler???, most common drama if it has is the spark isn't strong enough.. best way to diagnose is pull you spark plug's, re gap them down to .9mm refit and run it, if it clear's the problem then spend up on some good coil pack's.. if you don't wanna spend the money on coil's, just leave the plug gap at 0.9... as a side note BA XR6 turbo falcon, run's a plug with a .9 gap that fit's the RB25..
