  2. Wasn't me. Don't recall seeing a red Calibra anywhere and I don't remember being in a servo in Vermont South.
  3. That would have been me. I joined the club to get info about it before I bought it. Kinda glad I avoided it to be honest, it would have been far more trouble than it was worth. It all ended well, I have a skyline now
  4. I looked at buying one but backed out because I wasn't confident in its reliability.

  7. I got to drive a WRX once, my first experience of a turbo car. I remember being quite impressed with it at the time, having not driven anything remotely fast before. But the first time I drove a GT-R, when the boost came on ... my first thought was, "Bloody hell, this is serious." That's what I love about the GT-R. It's a serious car. It's a car you have to respect. I love looking around me on the road knowing that nothing I can see could live with me if I put my foot down. Genuine power, genuine grip ... and sure, you could make a GTS-T or something as fast or faster than a stock GT-R. But I'd still keep my GT-R over a GTS-T with 300rwKw. Don't know why, but I just love the GT-R.

  10. Also those spectating at Honda Hairpin, miles from any shelter, were not very lucky. They would have been more lucky if they'd brought their poncho with them, which they thoughtfully brought to the track, then left in the car.

  15. What's the go with spectators? What time does track action start and is there an entry fee? I'd love to come and have a run myself but I'm not ready yet. Nonetheless I'd like to come and meet some people.

  17. How long do you think it will take the haters to blame Webber's time on everything except his driving talent? He judged the conditions better than everyone else and smashed them accordingly. Did anyone else have the balls to go out on inters in that last session? If they did they couldn't cope with them as well as Webber. I'm sick of everyone saying he's hopeless, he's got no chance. He's a bloody good driver with a bloody good car and he's got a bloody good chance of winning tomorrow. Carn Webber! Have a go and show 'em how Aussies can drive!

  23. As you say, let's wait and see. I was simply trying to point out that a lot of people are writing him off before giving him any chance at all
  24. I'm assuming Ivan is the person whose quote I responded to? I've never claimed Mark Webber is the greatest driver in history, that wasn't anywhere near my point. I simply meant that he has quite a good chance at winning on Sunday, for several reasons: One of Mark Webber's wins was in the wet, and rain is forecast apparently The Red Bull has shown strong evidence that it is a fast car. If they can make it finish (which they apparently can for Webber) a win is most definitely possible If it rains anything can happen. Remember speed-meister Giancarlo Fisichella? He won a wet race ... in a Jordan! I'm sick of people knocking Mark just because he only has two wins. If you look at the history of the cars he's driven none of them before last year had more than a remote chance of winning, pretty much none at all in fact. It doesn't matter who you are, in F1 if you don't have the right car you can't win, and before last year Mark didn't have the right car. His teammates haven't done much better, with the exception of last year. Yes Mark has had a couple of crashes. And this makes him different to who exactly? If you're pushing it in F1 you can crash. Passing in F1 is so difficult these days that it almost requires a kamikaze move. Despite this Mark managed some spectacular passes on Sunday. Ok trolls, you've had your fun, now leave me alone
