  1. Congrats on the buy mate! A car like that with genuine kilometres that low would be a rare beast indeed! Like a few others have said, make sure you invest on a decent alarm system for your car, that would really have to be a priority.
  2. I believe the kit with the big wing bolted to the quarters is called the Altia kit and is made by a company other than Nissan, but was offered as an option from the factory. Correct me if i'm wrong.
  3. Looks like series 1 front kit to me...
  4. Keep running costs in mind. It's one thing to be able to afford to buy a GTR, it's another to be able to afford to service it/repair it when it breaks. Like the others have said, consider the R32 GTS-t. As for having an 'exclusive' car... most non-skyline enthusiasts will have no idea what the differences between a '94 V-Spec is to an '89 GTR. In fact most of them will be hard pressed to tell you the difference between a GTR and a GTS-t. At the end of the day, you want a car that YOU are happy with, it's not about other people. I mean, I'm one of those '40,000 R33 Skyline' owners and i'm damn proud!
  5. I think he's referring to the mechanical/physical aspects of his car as being shitty, not that R32 GTR's are shitty. But hey. for $17k as long as it doesn't need a new engine or gearbox i wouldnt be complaining!
  6. Was it silver/white? Spotted a 34 heading in that general direction late last night.
  7. I only use 5th over 80km/h. Usually shift at about 3000-3500 when cold, and 4000RPM when warm.
  8. I had my wheels aligned at Tyre Power in Tuggeranong. They did a top notch job, and it was a damn good price too. I spotted them taking my car for a test drive to make sure it was running ok, and i was happy to see the driver taking it nice and slow and not revving it up the road. Definately be going back to them again.
  9. Is it bad enough to warrant new seals yet though? It's not like i want to wait till it's a serious problem, but if it's not a big deal yet i won't bother. Thanks for the recommendation though!
  10. I just took a look at my car today and noticed the windscreen seals are peeling back on both sides I took a photo to show what i mean... don't mention the fact my car needs a wash I haven't noticed water leaking into the car yet, but i figure it's prolly not a good idea to leave it as is. Should i just leave it or get it done? Where can i get this fixed?

  12. My mum had a minor prang in her Echo, rear quarter panel smashed pretty bad. Her insurance company is having it fixed with Farugia's, but the car's not back till Tuesday. I'll take a look when it's back and tell you what i think of the job they did. She has one of those metallic blue/gold paintjobs so it will be interesting to see how it goes. I've heard their good though.
  13. Only been clubbing once and was too drunk to remember any of it
  14. I got the optima though
  15. There's a lot of Falcons on the road, be they XR6, XR6T or XR8 so you're not really going to stand out. Not that that will or should influence your opinion, but still. I'd take the R34, it'd probably give you better fuel economy and stuff as well.
  16. Lol! that's not true! I managed a half assed wave! I spotted you just as you were going past waving, but i was trying to change gears, indicate and steer all at the same time. Got my hand halfway out the window before i realised i was heading for the curb, lol.
  17. i had to have some other things changed over like the ports... come to think of it i think it was a bit over $400. my bad.
  18. Oh, and i had it done at the one near Woden, but the guy who did it was heaps nice and very helpful. Put my strut brace back in place and everything afterwards.
  19. A shade over $500 i think, had it done just a few days after my first post. As for the old battery, don't wet cell batteries generate hydrogen? hydrogen + enclosed space + spark = Hindenburg. Don't want that in my boot. It was an NRMA guy that installed the old battery too, didn't bat an eyelid when he put it in the boot all exposed. And i didn't know any better at the time.
  20. Is he selling instructions or friendship?
  21. Whoa, didn't think this would get as out of hand as it has. Had a few friends look over my battery, and they came to the conclusion that it was a 'defectable item' because the battery wasn't a dry cell and was sitting exposed in the boot with no case or anything. So i went to battery world and had a chat to them, ended up getting an Optima battery installed, was going to go for a cheaper oddysee but it wouldn't fit. Apparently it's a 600 crank and a dry cell/deep cycle (i don't know much about these things). Anyways, the car turns over nicely and i don't have to worry about the battery going flat if i leave the stereo on to long. Cheers for the advice though, keep it civil though
  22. I got mine cheaper, about 30K more on the clock, but overall i was happy with it's condition. Had to replace a clutch though only a few months after. Still, as long as you get a good car it doesn't matter if you could have saved a few bucks, the important thing is you've got a tidy car, and it wasn't a ridiculous price. Good luck with her
  23. prolly around the 300-400 mark on mine, for about 3/4 of a tank of fuel. That's mostly sedate driving, the tacho doesn't see beyond 4000RPM all that often. I get better economy with Optimax, which i'm using now for convenience reasons.
  24. Yeah mate. Was running a delivery for work. Don't spose you noticed that huge box on the passengers seat? sub takes up too much space in the boot. Anyways, nice looking car!
  25. Damn mate, i remember you sent me some pics of those babies from the Japanese auctions. Really wish i could help you out but doubt they'd be anywhere near Canberra. Good luck getting the cars back, hope the people who took them are brought to justice too.
