  1. Yep got it too, very annoying, has anyone tried to reground their wire to the PFC/ECU?????
  2. again $260 would like them gone.......
  3. obviously upgrade would be better, however rather than spend $$$$ on something unnecessarily thought its would be better to find out, yeah its a stagea wow some of you guys are almost as bad as ford holden guys if its not a commodore........
  4. I am going to go for 300rwkw (maybe 290) on my 260rs stagea and want to see if i can retain the stock injectors I have read that with a FPR it will get me there, now that wont be run constantly I will just have that on a squirt every now and then on a cool night. But I know the rule of thumb is 1hp for every cc so 440hp, I read that 500cc is possible with fpr and dont run them over 85% duty?? also I wanna know if I can run a wire direct from the battery to my fuel pump with a relay and not upgrade to the bosch 040?? So its a 33 GTR pump. Yes I have upgraded the turbos and will be doing the afm to Z32 items as well. Thanks
  5. Yeah I bought from nissan a turbo repalcement kit, so its got all the copper washers going from the banjo bolts etc, manifold to turbo gasket, turbo to dump gasket and also oil drain gasket, and a few other gaskets. was around $130 from memory, I also had to buy head to ex manifold gasket. about $30 you need two. would be a good idea to replace some of the vacum hoses and clamps but thats prob it. there are no washers on the turbo to manifold bolts however there are some locking plates there which come in the kit I was talking about above. There are some solid washers in the manifold to head bolts which I just reused. hope that helps
  6. Good condition only run on std boost till 90k km, just replaced at 110k km both have very small amount of shaft play but nothing too bad. Include wastegate, happy to post at buyers expense. currently in Sydney northern beaches would consider swapping for a decent quality EBC. both were working 100% when removed from car price $300
  7. yeah mine is a 260rs stagea so dont know if thats wider or thinner, maybe thats half my problem??? ha
  8. Job got done yesterday, well it took me a little less than two days, i have no idea how people have covered that in 5??? Could do it in about 10 or less now maybe but anyhow missed some good surfing for an underestimate of time. I read through post but none were too accurate I may post up a how to as there are a few things I had to figure out. Cheers for the input Ben
  9. Well after starting at 7 in the morning and finishing at 6 tonight I have yet to finish mirim1313 mate time consuming is not the right word its f**king tedious work, got the rear turbo on banjo bolts seemed fine were slightly out but seemed to go on ok. 13mm stubby would have been good just for warning for anyone. So I still got the front to do and its going to rain tomorrow so looks like I am going to get soaked along with my tools. thanks for the offer Sato could have come in handy as I think once youve done it once it would be much faster. Well tomorrow is the day I hope to finish, will keep it updated. fingers crossed for tomorrow. Cheers for the words people.
  10. cheers mate yeah i went to bunnings and got a new uni joint and saw the flare nut spanner set and got em to save time. I have undone the bolts as per the manual so the oil feed lines are still on the block and undone them from the turbo is that the wrong way??? live in syd on the northern beaches, so anyone who wants the fun of getting them off is more than welcome to join me its going to rain on sat so tomorrow is do or die.
  11. started ripping out my turbos today got to the point where I need to get through with the 3/8 drive socket through the dropped turbo but my uni joint broke anyhow. i have a couple of questions, first do I need to remove the oil lines from off the block before I take out the turbos or is it possible to leave it and unbolt it once the turbo has been removed? I know people have said not to bend the lines however once pushed aside the turbo should be free???? and second how on earth have people unbolted the flare nut on the rear turbo the one which runs from above the turbo over the shield and into turbo, it is almost impossible???? Cheers ben
  12. Fair call, just thought i would ask as i have been throwing this up for a while. Yeah will just get RB20/25 AFM and a reducer to modify the existing piping.
  13. I am wondering if its possible to put two RB20/RB25 AFM into GTR by opening them up and remove the element and electronics and replace them into GTR ones???
  14. ok thanks for the replys, Still in limbo as to what to do. be much cheaper to got eh rb25 and thats a bonus as well but do want reasonably tunability out of it which is my main concern.
  15. I am throwing some steel wheeled turbos into my 260rs stagea and I am not aiming for more than 300rwkw (280-290 would be fine) however tuner recons the afm would be out of range, so got to get something else in there yeah I know the best route is prob Nismo but with the aus $$$ not going to happen, and the Z32 is a good option however I am tempted just to throw in the RB25's, how may people are out there running them in GTR they also plug straight up into the loom. I am also thinking how to mount onto std air box anyone just re drilled the holes into the airbox so they fit??? and just stretch the rubber going to the turbos over the 80mm, will that work????
  16. hey mate are you selling your dump pipes off the R34?????
  17. Surely someone must be able to produce something like that here for a decent price, make a jig and produce, if they do then I will be in for a set, I am about to change turbos and dont really have 1k to drop on some dumps, was going to go some xforce, or something but after reading some comments I have been turned off, I had a set which I bought off this form but never arrived (was so stoked about thet $300 down the drain). Anyway hope something comes soon.
  18. yeah I kept mine if your interested,
  19. Off the track, can you post how much power you make with the steel wheels, as I have the same turbos and wnat to know do I have to go further with AFM, injectors etc.
  20. Well its done and I still have a sound coming from the belt its not as noisy but I think it must be the two serfaces bedding in, hope in a few months, and km it will fade away. Thanks for the help everyone,
  21. Cheers mate, I dont think I am going to make the power I was after with these turbos, I would like about 280-290rwkw, Hope I get there, currently making 252rwkw with PFC, exhaust and boost at 14.5psi Lets hope we get close
  22. cheers mate will be doing it today, ahhh I did crank it over a few times by hand last time but I had moved the idler pulley away with it tightened up not allowing the spring to work, well I spose its a lesson learned should only take a few hours to fix up but thats all things going well, but this never seems to be the case. Ha Cheers for the offer 3lit3_32 thats very generous of you, I am in sydney though last time I had to get a mobile mechanic to help so let hope I get it off on my own accord. Will let you know how I go.
