I now have the following for sale: 1 x power FC with hand controller( replaced with new Haltech) 1 x OS Giken twin plate/lightend flywhwheel package( 3000 klm old only)**** not strong enough for new HP set-up 1 x set of N1 wizzers in good nik.. Its taken nearly 2 years to start from scratch.... and its just about there......and I can hardly wait !!!!
  5. Hey, Its a no go to start with.....pretty expensive to just put them on a streeter etc so I am just about to "try" a couple of things with some mild heat and try to shape them in a couple of places....the drivers side just "touches" the cross bars so a smidge of heat just might do the trick ......but the passenger side( which has different shape-profile) might be a litlle trickier to re shape..... I will let you know in the necxt couple of weeks..... cheers
  6. Hey Ev.....I really DO KNOW how it feels.... Step 1 = Pick your chassis/panel dude very very very carefully before you resign yourself to starting again from scratch... Yes your toy looks like it has been "beaten up" but from the photo's it look repairable....remember its a race car and not a "show car" We hit a concrete wall at more than 160kph..and the concrete barrier didnt move a bit...the cage then absorbed the impact and formed the banana shape. ie: The cage moved approx 100mm inboard on the drivers side which broke my ribs on the right hand side in the process... the gearbox tunnel had a very visual 30mm twist in it, the left hand near quater panel had a huge "woof" in it ( even though there was no impact on the left hand side), the intercooler had a huge "twist" in .etc etc etc, I had no other option than to start again... it really was a basket case. You saw the damage on the trailer when you were over here.... once the alluminium panels and plastic bits were removed it was clear that there was nothing to work with that was straight... hence the long hard road i have been on for the last 20 months or so ( and not to mention the commercial impact...which we wont...) lucky my lovely wife accepts that I have always had an addiction/obsession with GTR's.. ... to the nearly completed new car below.. Still another few months to go.. Again, if you clearly have no other choice than to start again then do it....however if you dont HAVE TO ,then work with what you have if at all possible cob.. cheers!
  7. hey, yes it will be have the Nissan stickers etc ( it will look similat but not identical) ie The other stickers will be in the same locations and same colours but different names( personal "sponsors").. Just mucking around with my CF bonnet/boot lips lips now....
  8. Hey Evan Looking good cob.. Got your incar footage......launches pretty hard ehh.. slowly geeting there with my toy....... another few months and few more swings up to Hedland and it should be finished.. talk soon
  9. New toy will be "street registered" well special cams licenced anyway..... for tarmac rally car/circuit car...
  10. And a couple more..
  11. Just got the car back from the panel/paint shop today I did a quick mock up with the new nismo headlights and a bit of carbon fibre bling...
  12. Just about time for the mechanicals.... ..
  13. That's the plan...hence plenty of "short shifting"....My game plan indicates max torque around 3500rpm with the dash -7s and the .048 housing. cheers
  14. Cheers Duncan.. Yes I am aware that I have a task and a half going forward... After wasting my previous tarmac car and nearing completion on my new car, I am steering away from big trees and big concrete walls.... hence the mindset change into doing some circuit stuff. I would like to play at a couple of different tracks and not just the one here in Perth, so IPRA seems like the direction.. I believe a new set 2860-7's would suit the agenda, running around 25--28 PSI on E85 ( and utilizing the previous Tarmac rally cars brakes/suspension etc) should get me "reasonably... competitive".. Clearly, It will be a "Short Shifter Sally" type of set up... but any advice is graciously accepted.. cheers
  15. Onya!!! ta... somewhere to start the process..
  16. Hi all, I am looking for information on 27mm restrictors on the rb26dett... ie: a) A basic design to start with would be really helpfull( I can then get that machined up...and do further R&D from there on) or b)Purchase a set that have had the R&D already carried out on them..... Any info/assistance would be greatly appreciated.. cheers
  17. The car is now being set-up for 'Improved "Production Circuit Racing" Going forward, I will keep a more up to date status of the build on my "basic" website.. ie: It covers the previousTarmac Rally car info and the new build Improved Production car build as well as a sponsorship page www.deleeuwracing.wordpress.com
  18. some real progress now!!!

  20. Not much progress on the car over the last couple of weeks... however I did pick up the refurbished rims yesterday...

  22. Hey, Yeah, I have been looking at the Bee R door trims for a while and then one night after a few bourbs...I needed to have them.... I have attached a few shots I took this morning to give you an idea of what you get..( the doors are still off the new race car so I cant try them in situ yet...another week or so and i will find out) The fit will clearly depend on the measurement between the intrusion bars and the actual body(ie: how wide the the tab is that is welded to the cage) if you follow me.. Drivers side and passenger side trims are around 50mm "thk" Drivers side then slims down to around 30mm "thk" Passenger side stays at around 50mm thk Drivers side is about 30mm thk up in the top left corner, then blends up to 50mm thk as you get close to the door handle. Note that both trims are 50mm at the top where they hook over the door.... Passenger is 30mm thk at top right corner then steps up another 20mm ( which makes it a pretty contant 50mm thk) Driver top left corner Driver bottom left 50mm thk where they hook over the door
  23. Just received my Bee R carbon fibre door trims....there going to be a tight fit up against the cross bars..... and the panel/paint has commenced
  24. slowly been gathering up parts- many thanks to Northside Nissan. Some final cage mods completed, and finally its in for the body work and paint.
