  1. I would take it to a shop to get them to check it out I am not just saying that because I own a shop. If you are not sure about installing it all correctly then a shop would be the place to go. Most if not all will offer a warrenty on their workmanship so if you have any problems down the track they will chek it out for you. What state do you live in? That way i can recommend someone for you. Simon
  2. I like the key ring membership idea typevu looks great :-) Something to think about is how are you going to get them made up. If you are getting them mass produced you may not be able to do individual names etc. on the cards. Just a thought Simon
  3. If all of the speakers are cutting out chances are that it is not the speaker wiring but the wiring on the rear of the deck. Make sure that the earth wire on the deck is connected to a metal part of the car not to the factory wiring. Simon
  4. $500 for a greddy m spec kit, If they were only that price. Thats cheaper than my buy price for them. :-)
  5. I agree they fit no problems, if you are worried just look for speakers that have a smaller mounting depth. Simon
  6. Got any links to a test or a magazine article that showed that result? Simon
  7. 334kw not bad :-) Just letting you know we have t bolt style clamps in stock $5 each. That might help you with the boost leak Simon

  12. How thick is the wire from your battery to the amp and your earth wire? If these wires are too thin it can do this. Does it cut out with the motor running? Simon
  13. Sorry to say but you are going to find it very difficult to get the same amount of bass out of these pioneer speaker as you would from a sub, or even the factory speakers in your old mans fairmont. Size is everything. The people that get good bass with out a sub spend lots of money to achieve this. If space is an option the cheapest option for you would be to buy a good 10 inch sub in a box.
  14. Hey dude, I would send it back for the warranty work. Sliding is obviously telling you to send it back to the manufacturer to save you some time. If you are concerned about their workmanship take it back to GCG turbos and get them to check it before you put it back on your car. If it is still no good when it comes back you would have a good case to get a refund I would think. Simon
  15. Another thought would be to buy a 4 channel amp. It will cost a bit more but take up a lot less space. Run the front speakers off 2 of the channels and bridge the other 2 channels to run the sub. something in the ball park of 4 x 100WRMS or 4 x 150WRMS should be fine. Simon
  16. This is great news. Extreme was an alright show, but it had potential. Hopefully with the right drive and a bit of funding it can be a GREAT show. With any luck we will be there in December
  17. Cubes If you get it all off the ground I would be interested too. Like evil34 I was also on the committee of SVD, and I still have a lot of the paperwork from the club, there may be some information in there they could be helpful to you. If you think it could help you just send me a PM Best advice would be to run about 6 months of events and meetings before you get too serious just make sure that the interest is there. You don’t want to have meetings if only the committee is turning up. Simon
  18. Hey........... The only car that will not move is an automatic or a car with a neutral detect switch. Every other car will start and move or atleast jump then stall Dont kid yourself..
  19. If you are doing it yourself do the timer first, Make sure that the car still works with the timer in. Then install the alarm.
  20. There is not enough room in the boot of a R33 to make 4 x 12 inch subs sound good. But if sound does not matter and it is purely for looks, just make a frame that supports the 4 subs in the position that you want them and work from there. You will have to make a box out of wood and fibreglass. Good luck making it all fit, I have 2 x 12 inch and an amp and it pretty much takes up the whole boot.
  21. Hey dude This is a common problem. Make sure that all of the GND connections are good (ie Head unit, Amp, Battery) Look at getting RCA's that are twisted and shielded. If all else fails you can get a noise filter
  22. Hey whatsisname The pics of the car look good, very tidy, cant wait to see it at Autosalon. Looks a lot different to last time I saw it Simon
  23. If you were not one of the people that got chosen for the SAU Display you can go in the show by yourself.... We have done our own displays for a few years now (as well as club displays in the past) It is heaps of fun. Keep in mind that a club display is limited to a max of about 11 or 12 cars. So if you think your car is up to get your application in, you have till the 27th July for the cheap entry. Simon
  24. It is hard to work out what your issue is.. here is one option If fading left / right does front / rear and fading front / back does left / right You have the pairs of RCA's the wrong way. For instance you have the front set of RCA's to both Right's and the rear set of RCA's to both left's.
  25. Fitted a set of these on the weekend (265/35/18) no problems at all. I guess it depends on the offset of your wheels or how low you car is.
