  1. I LOVE THEM TO BITS...... Just needs a fraction more aggressiveness on the rears...which I will achieve as soon as I get the guards rolled. Yeah the wing is a radical idea to say the least....I am hoping it pays off !!
  2. Tried...but got more love from pete who gave me some suspension tips..the tall dude whos name i cant remember who chatted for ages about his big block chevy and new zealand and the most from rob the alignment guy who everyone seems afraid of...lachlan was probably having an off day...lol....overall a good experience
  3. Backing out now sorry........Getting my boot and wing custom made
  4. Then drove down to the boys at WA Suspensions and got my meisters fitted and aligned. You can see the Ganadors here actually. Played around with a few spacer combinations....
  5. Budding artists at work...... Measuring up...
  6. Very very productive day so far. Woke up bright and early with the sun streaming in. Just knew it was going to be a warm one. Polished up my new Ganadors and proceeded to install them (you know your obsessed when you start car stuff before brushing your teeth!!) First step: remove door trims... Passenger side: Three screws down at the bottom of the door panel. One screw inside the little plastic pocket thing and one screw underneath the passenger side handle / arm rest. Drivers side: Three screws down at the bottom of the door panel. One screw under the switch plastic panel. Both sides door release plastic surrounds need to be pried off. Then remove plastic triangle to reveal three bolts holding mirror in place. Remove and unplug mirror. Plug Ganadors in, secure wire and put it all back together. Did not get a picture of the mirrors...but will post some when I do the photoshoot (sometime soon) Then started fabrication work / planning for the GT wing project.
  7. Getting my wheels fitted and aligned by WA Suspensions tomorrow....excitmentness !!
  8. Picked up these bad boys this evening ( again Jarrad). They do need some TLC which I have lined up for later this week.
  9. Update: Bought a stock boot lid off Jarrad ( ). Project GT wing has begun !! WOOOHOOO!! Also....earlier this evening Aaron from Westy's Warehouse went out of his way to fit and balance my new tyres and finish everything today itself - absolutely sensational service and top bloke. ..and....I will not need that spoiler on there...so if anyone wants it....it is for sale..chuck me an offer.
  10. oh shoot...sorry didnt see this....okay all good...please put me down for a carbon fibre one. What are freight costs like? When do you need the deposit etc? Also just confirming - this is for a FLUSH boot lid correct. Thanks
  11. I want one too....bump
  12. Will take the bootlid if you still have it.
  13. Yeah thnx man....I think it will look awesome !! Quite excited about it actually.
  14. Thanks heaps.......looks good...will factor in postage and painting etc and see if a DIY / fabrication option is more feasible.
  15. If still going...Interested in a flush boot lid for a series 2 r33gtst.....carbon fibre or fibre glass...prices? Thanks
  16. Thnx for the heads up..been searching but all i could find were carbon fibre ones..do they do them in fibre glass?? Judging by the price of cf ones i thought it was prudent to just fabricate my own or have fun while creating at the very least
  17. Thread revival..hahaa...did you end up doing this?
  18. It looks awesome...i plan on making it flush first and then mounting the wing..if u look at my build thread i have explained the plan..also are you saying that if i buy a bootlid with no lock it will bolt straight in and clip lock?
  19. Any help, suggestions and advice welcome. So I want to fit an R34 Gtt wing onto my R33. I want to get a spare bootlid and mount this wing onto the back of it. Questions: 1) How do the locks work? Can I interchange the bootlids (my current one and this new one) which will naturally have a different lock and key and simply bolt on. 2)Is it possible to get away with not having a lock? Will the bootlid just sit closed or will it bounce open etc? (sorry if this sounds really stupid - but I have no clue) In this case I would simply patch up the hole (weld a bit of metal) and paint over it. Any other ideas??? Thanks
  20. I will take the bootlid if anyone else wants the spoiler. Let me know.
  21. Keeping in mind my obsession for as long as I can remember with the "GT" style wing ^^^^^^^^ ...I just could not resist when I saw a black one for sale on here. Picked it up on Saturday morning - Julian !! Best of luck with your project and was nice to meet you and chat. So this is going to be my next project when I take my two weeks off work. Just around the corner actually come to think of it !! Going to get another boot....flatten the edge so that it is all flush and then mount this wing on with EXTENDED STRUTS so that it is nice and high. Will naturally not keep it on the car for daily driving but plan to have it as an option for when I feel like. If you look at the picture above I want the wing to sit about 2 inches lower then where it sits at the moment - so nice and high but not so high that you can see it over the top of the car if you look at it from the front. It is wider then the GTR one so I am looking forward to being able to see it protrude nicely from both sides when you look at it from the front. Will be looking for a stock boot lid for sale now - so let me know !! Any colour is fine as it is going to get modified and then painted.
  22. Tyre specs please?
  23. Bloody awful weather today - and its going to rain the whole week...how annoying. Was playing with a photograph for a cover photo and thought I would upload it just for the heck of it..so here goes !! Sir Stigness visiting me
  24. Cheers Josh.....yeah thought long and hard about the colour choice.....gloss black with silver lip lost out by the smallest of margins Murdered out look is too common with all the falcadores and subivos so sticking to something different that works for me. Update: Change of plans with the tyres. Was not confident with the sizing options so went to speak to Aaron @ Westy's Warehouse this morning...undoubtedly a TOP BLOKE !! Great advice - heaps of patience with my umpteen and annoying questions - helpful and friendly. mate...cleared up a lot of doubts and clarified a lot of information. Stay tuned
  25. Thanks mate. Worth their weight in "gold"
