Mines was 13.5 grand for R34 25GT auto (i regret it deep down). if you buy a R33 GTST between 12-15k and its not a absolute machine your doing it wrong, there manual R34 GTT between those prices now.

im second guessing the WRX seems a lot of you have lost out finanically by owning one. It worse enough the added costs that comes with performance cars such as insurance then dealing with breaking parts such as gearboxes, maybe the evo is a better choice will give it more research.

I went down to IS motorsport, with a friend to pick up his brother S15 with a newly installed starter motor, and a silver GD with the IS Motorsports sticker was sitting in the car park. Very immaculate Impreza, nothing crazy i should have asked for some info on the car/model while i was there but i didnt think of it at the time

Atm around 20k, though im not in a hurry to buy

All good reads and from what i gather the GC and GD are indeed weaker in the box and drivelines then Evo's and GTR's, but thats if your droping the clutch and thrashing as some of you have said.

I have always liked the STI over the evolutions based on aesthetic attributes which you can say is superficial, some people like the looks of the EVO and some the STI depends on taste, hence why im not really considering an EVO atm. But i have sat in a evo 8 and they are rockets on rails.

A lot of WRX non sti's are being advertised with STI driveline parts so makes sense the term 'glass gearbox' is popping up a lot. Didnt know the EJ20 suffered from overheating and blowing gaskets, some guys are reporting 250-400,000 KM on them and still going strong i feel like it a massive grey area. Looks like i might be leaning towards an STI if i go GC8. Atm Im on the fence about skylines, had a chat with a couple of mates one night after work and most of them seem to be moving on to 4 door cars (Evo's, Foresters, XR6T, BMW M5's etc) but still retaining that performance we all like. Kind of opened my eyes a bit and got me thinking whether i should be sticking to coupes when there are some excellent 4 door examples that offer the same thing. I dont know if i want a 4 door skyline not really my taste having owned a coupe and feeling like i need a change, i figure if i really like skylines that much i will eventually come back to own another.

Seriously Considering buying a GC8F or GC8G STI or a regular WRX Impreza 2001-2004, never really looked twice at Subaru before but im kind of over the skyline and 2 door coupe scene, and from what i can tell WRX's are an awesome package of performance and practicality and the STI WRXs look the goods. Just wanting to know peoples opinion more so behind the GC8 Impreza both STI and non STI (definitely Turbo models though). If you guys have any opinion and stories about this particular model of car please share. This is the Subbie im talking about for those who dont know.

Mechanic will be able to see fishy stuff that you wouldnt be able to see, like i bought my R34 25GT and my mechanic told me this car has been crashed in the front thats after i bought it, he was able to tell even though the repair job was done really well and there is nothing wrong with the car. Dont buy with your heart and get all caught up in the moment you need someone telling you the facts that your going to miss. These imports are getting old and there past is sketchy so might as well.

See if the buyer is willing to let a mechanic go over it for you before buying it.

Sounds epic brahs but my car is out of action and im spewing, otherwirse i would suggest Mcdonalds sydney airport gateway next to krispy cremes. Although everytime i go there seems to be police or federal agents crawling all over it, does not stop the local sexspec crew from going.

Go custom and get a 2.5 inch set-up, no real power gains but it will make the RB sing. Imo an inline 6 needs to be heard clearly and loudly.

2 R33 GTRS and 1 Evo 6 last night from foreshore rd to baystreet in rockdale. Was in my moms Ford Focus, the evo likes to crawl all over his lane lol.

Bump because price drop $100 dollars for the lot, i need room in the garge and these are taking that up i just want them gone good for drifto remember the cracked one needs a professional opinion in regards to fixing it i had one guy tell me its unfixable based on some pics but still $100 is a good price for 3 R34 25GT rims.

Will do i think hitting the gym for an 1 hour or more in the day or evening is what i need, I like to work out in the summer opposed to winter when i just stopped all together, lost 15 kg in a few months and even though i still retain a good weight, just feel unfit, I sometimes work night shift come home at 1am after 7 hour shift im a printing assistant so im usually moving around, so even though i might be tired it does not mean i will fall asleep quickly, i have just gotten really bad at falling asleep but once i am asleep im all good. Might work for you but i dont know about me haha
