If you want to find more info out, search the forums, dont chat in here. Im sure the RTA has no problem with your speedo showing 300 instead of 180... As you will notice most australian cars show over 180 on their speedo.

anyone know who I could ask that would actually know. Would love to bring one in with Rb25det already.. Rb26 a bit too powerful and costly.

We used drain pipe on a friends R32... worked really well.. Ended up heating the end and moulding it perfectly to fit in the front bar hole so no air skips it.. Takes a while to melt it into place tho if you do it properly.

It would work for sure.. Amazingly I have never had a speeding ticket, or any other ticket against my license. I have written about 5 letters and got out of 4 of them, and the last one was dropped in court. Just be careful going to court cos if you lose and get convicted, you will have trouble in the future.. ie, getting in to US of A. Also on this note, saw a funny sign on alexandra parade last night... seems as if the govt has changed the "Speed cameras used in this area" signs to "Road safety cameras used in this area".. what a lame attempt.

hey steve - I heard a while ago that to engineer a 15 year old car it had to have to original engine. My mate is almost ready for you to start looking for an RB25det ceffy, but we r still unsure about engineering with a non std engine.

Chris32 - yep, i think it was you also found a site on the net that had about 20 manuals for all different electroinc stuff but couldnt find it in search earlier.

I think for P1 i did it in 4th gear... hard to find a bit of road to do that 10 times in a row

Weq - I know that alot of solenoids will make a bit of a sound when it initially turns on, but shouldnt keep making it. A mate had an almost new HKS EVC5 and the guy he bought it off didnt have the in line filters installed and had a lot of blow by oil inside.. Im pretty sure he had similar sounds too you and after a quick clean it stopped the sounds. Re manual, i downloaded a manual from the net when I had my profec a (needed it to set it up properly). Do a search on google or try trust.com - there is a pdf manual around somewhere!

I had this problem in my car with the old tanabe setup..... was very quiet initially but eventually got worse.. ended up being cos the rear left was leaking. Chucked them in the bin and got a new set
