  1. used the oil pressure sensor that came with the engine. I just used the 350z or g35 service manuals on the net, no specific diagrams. Have found some ecu pinouts but they not 35 specific
  2. Yes i have one left, have got MAP sensor for FI or Map selector for swapping between multiple maps on the fly (rather than using the dial on the utec) Maps i have, 1. CAI, exhaust 1 2. CAI, exhaust 2 3. CAI, exhaust, test pipes 4. CAI, exhaust, headers, plenum spacer It also allows for knock protection and Rev limit
  3. you posted this on G35driver where they swap their boxes to cd09 aswell ?
  4. Drop the sensor plug and ecu plug and measure the resistance of the cam signal wire. <-- how do you do this? From what i believe the cam angles and crank position are the same on v35/350z The oil pressure sensor is different (2 pin vs 3pin) , not sure about the coolantant.. Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted <--- and how to do this correctly? I measured from the ecu and unplugged it from the sensor, measured between the pins within the plug, seemed to be fine As far as grounds; From memory there are 1. two grounds near the power steering pump that go to front of timing case and rear timing case 2. ground on the drivers side header manafold that goes to the engine bay (this looks more like static lead..) 3. one ground from the wiring harness near the 2 and 4 coil pack that i screwed onto the rear timing case 4. i made a massive thick ground from neg term of battery to trans case 5. ecu is ground by its own loom and also by the mounting bracket.
  5. I had a oscilloscope also on it and waveform does not look ok, this was before the new ecu/clutch and sensors.. May have changed since then, i dont know.
  6. Spencer good idea re immobilizer, fuel is fine, scotty no i dont, i can try wiggling it so good idea ! Anything else to check? Sorry for steeling ur thread spencer, u get ur issue fixed?
  7. Hey Scotty, how would you fault find the cam angle sensor wiring? my car will not start after new engine, turbo etc and has same p0340 error. Tried all 3 new sensors, spark plugs, new exedy clutch and it was aligned 100% on the pin etc. Even tried haltech plug and pro ecu and it wont turn over at all with that, with stock ecu you can hear it trying to fire but it wont start...

  12. I have a whole 2 fan + shroud assembly. Where are you located?
  13. 'I think Lumley wont accept any FI modded cars and accidents in the last 5 years?
  14. you have to go under and look at the transmission to see it, and then unscrew the drivers side upper Allen key bolt hole and if oil comes out right away your good, if not then your low. This is your trans, and the drain hole http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm250/blair_lyons/103_0580.jpg This is the fill hole (shown on left side but its really on our right side) http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm250/blair_lyons/103_0585.jpg http://g35driver.com/forums/engine-drivetrain-forced-induction-diy/271231-diy-manual-transmission-fluid-clutch-fluid-change-pics.html
  15. My previous NRMA cost was $1300 for $30k agreed or something, i got the renewal and its $2200... wtf Just car is $1257 @ value of $20950 and when doing the same value with NRMA its $2030... they dont do 10% now so they can suck it. Shanons want $2100 for $30k and $2200 for $35k Will try RACQ, but who with NRMA has V35 and didnt get increase ??
  16. Did they fully replace the oil and top up to correct level ?
  17. I just gave you a recommendation right about your post... I even gave personal experience so ....
  18. Warranty Company like National Warranty Company are scams anyway, Nagoya scammed me $2000 for a warranty that was 100% supposed to give me $5000 engine cover for this sort of thing. I cant use it one bit, its completely useless, NWC.com.au pull the "normal wear and tear" and consequential BS card and pay nothing.. I would try replacing the PCV valve, get quality oil catch can inbetween the PCV and plenum, get new valve cover gaskets, replace spark plugs and start using 5W 40 Shell-Rotella-T6 Oil and you will have alot less usage. If still an issue then worn rings.
  19. Sorry thought i did !! $1900 flat or $1700 and i keep some parts. Thanks!
  20. Nissan Skyline 1993 Gts-T RB25det Auto For Restoration/Repair or Parts This car has been owned by my family for the past 5+ years, it was a reliable well driven and well looked after car. prior to the front right corner collision the car was in perfect mechanically working order. Has had prior cosmetic damage to the rear drivers quarter panel. Has done over 200000kms, serviced every 5000km with Penrite Synthetic Oil Aftermarket Accessories Japan JIC Magic 3.5" Cat back Exhaust 3" Dump pipe 1.5x larger R34 Side mount Intercooler for better performance R32 10psi wastegate actuator so it can run and 10psi instead of psi Turbosmart Boot Tee for manual boost control - was not run over 10psi HKS pod filter New O2 sensor Stainless steel strut tower bar with brake booster bracket The above modifications made a massive difference to performance and cost about $700 to acquire the parts. Apart from a tune these are considered a stage 1 upgrade. Wheels/Suspension It also has Nissan 350 Track wheels 17x8 and 17x8.5 with 225 and 245 tires that are relatively new. One wheel however has a crack along the spoke, must have been from a pot hole.. A HICAS block off bar was also installed for better rear control. It has aftermarket japanese non-adjustable coils with King springs MOMO Steering wheel Electronic Electronic wise there is a Caliber Boost gauge and A/F ratio turbo timer. Spares I have a series 2 R33 turbo that has little to no shaft play i was keeping as a spare, these are about $200 alone Also a perfect condition Drivers rear tail light in burgundy. I also have a spare speed sensor And 6 coil packs
