As mentioned have the car as far forward on the trailer as possible and a tie down on each corner compressing the suspension
-
I would say it better wouldn't it
-
Trust him about the weight distribution I had a trailer jack knife on me at speeds
-
I will repeat once and once only in any rb use a fully synth 10w40 with castrol edge you can't get a 10w40 so 10w60 shall be fine don't go any higher
-
Dori I'd say the housing would be to big for rb it's like running a xr6t housing on a rb25 can't remember what size but I know it would be way to big
-
I hate being in WA all this eflex talk makes me jelous

How many gauges does he want

Yeah I did and I couldn't hear it must be something hitting up against something I'll keep hunting it's prob been doing for a while and I just noticed

im using the united 1 5w50 and i find it brilliant its a weekend car i have used it for about 500kms now with no problems great cold starts and great oil pressure on idle when warm etc. i had mobil1 5w30 in mine for 2000kms it was sh*t broke down after about 1000kms. they use it in HSV's which are alloy so maybe good for a N/A engine but turbocharged mst heat it up to much and it tends to break down i Highly Rate the united oils from kingscorp. and i will from no on be buying it in bulk from him. any questions about the oil feel free to contact me

sounds a bit heavy to be a heat sheild more like manifold rattle or exhaust it self
-
ok just started it up and got the mrs to turn it off with my head under bonnet its a slight rattle coming from exhaust side so im assuming its either a stud or my front/dump pipe rattleing against something i will check it out closer as i need to do some work to the exhaust as when i fitted cat converter it shortened exhaust and it touches panhard rod in the rear unless it that rattling and the sound traveling up the exhaust
-
i let it idle for about 15 mins gave it a couple of revs reved fine then i shut it down sounded like it came from under thebonnet but it didnt sound like a engine knock i dont think sounded like something knocking against something. not sure im just being paranoid i think. im going to change oil today and see how it goes then
-
could be exhaust manifold studs as i just a a cat fitted so it was moved around a bit im going to do a oil change today anyway what could the oil have to do with it tho as the oil has only done 2000kms but i dont like it so im changing it
-
hey guys im probably being paranoid however i started my rb25 for the first time in about 3 weeks let it idle til it warmed up (idled fine and reved fine) when i turned it off i heard a slight rattle wasnt really loud and not sure if it was a knocking sound. it could have been something just rattling im not sure. like i said im probably just being paranoid. if it was a engine knock it would be making the noise the whole time right?
