  1. who wants fuel economy in a performance car lol if you want fuel economy go buy a hybrid camry or prius
  2. ill my rb25 engine number from my half cut later ths afternoon when i get home if that helpsits straight from japan
  3. nah sorry mate its only a streeter and 1000cc will be over kill and plus i dont want to go to top feed i rather stick to the side feeds
  4. and what do you think?
  5. from what i have read rb25de injectors you can highflow to 550cc and rb25det injectors can be highflowed to 740cc. the flow characteristics im unsure ill search some more and find out
  6. yeah i know and im only looking at running it as a streeter nothing special so why spend the big bucks on aftermarkets when i can get same thing for fraction of cost. i have spoken to a few people that have got them and they say they have not had a problem
  7. hey guys i was wondering would highflowing your standard rb25det injectors be worth it. i have heard you can highflow the standard injectors to 740cc at the fraction of the cost of aftermarket injectors like sard etc. im ony looking at putting a hypergear atr43 g3 on my rb25det and running roughly 18psi im only looking for about 340rwkw max would thisd be a better option than buying aftermarket injectors? if so where can i get them highflowed in perth
  8. first things first read the rb25 dyno sheets thread second thing what power figures are you lookin for thirdly are you on a budget if so what budget but it mainly comes down to what power your after like i said read the rb25 dyno sheets thread alot of pages i know but worth reading through it
  9. only thing i can suggest mate is it is shorting out somewhere behind the cluster if that doesnt help i have a s2 cluster at home you can have
  10. if your areon a really tight budget i would go the hypergear atr43 g3 easy 270rwkw you can pick one of these up from stao for $1450 with actuator to suit and oil lines and bolts straight up for a stock look. i would get your injectors highflowed also on a tight budget and then a nistune and z32 afm and your laughing no changing dump pipes unless you really want to and then a nice tune you should have your target easily i have not gone down this road yet however these are my plans seeing tho im trying to build a house aswell do my car
  11. damn coz i was thinking of getting one of these with using the standard manifold looks like i may still stick with the hypergear atr43 option
  12. shame i just gave my stand away last week you could have kept it
  13. dont mean to sound rude but if you read the above they do say about 3 times not worth changing them so why you still trying to figure it out
  14. hey guys ran into another problem the vac line from actuator needs somehre to go i have read you can t piece it off BOV however i removed my carbon canister and put a screw in the line on the manifold next to the throttle body (not the one on throttle body) would this be a good place to put it or would it onl be a vac line not boost also?
  15. or if it becomes a real problem run the piping under the radiator like i have done on my vl that way its not in the engine bay collecting heat and the cool air from driving keeps thepipe cool. thats how the GKtech no holes kit works on a vl
  16. heres a pic where im at so far
  17. hey guyys got a vl turbo intercooler piping kit yesterday most of it fits up well oulet from cooler to throttle body connects up fine with one cut to make it fit the standard crossover pipe however to compressor housing is a diffrent story. i have 2 ways of doing cutting a hole just above the chassis rail sideways or cutting a hole where the airbox used to be and buy a 90 degree joiner and a straight piece of piping. only prob is cutting hole sideways above chassis rail if i was to do that the power sterring lines get in the way so i may go with the hole where airbox was. ill keep posting how im going. going to be a few days however due to christmas and damn missus wants to go out
  18. look mate if your after 250rwkw+ speak to stao at hypergear i have a target of 300rwkw and im looking at the ATR43 G3 profile (best bang for buck) with supporting mods of injectors (750cc) but that high is not needed, FMIC, Z32AFM, Microtech LT12-s and possibly a cam gear on exhaust side, and a turbotech boost controller. stao reckons this should get me 300rwkw easy. like i said speak to stao he will have the answers
  19. ask andrew at hyperdrive he works with EMS
  20. read my previous post on cams when in cmes to camshafts very interesting
  21. yeah but the gktech cooler is smaller so the piping is suited to that however i found a piping kit with the same set up on the for a larger cooler
  22. looking at the gktech intercooler kit i may go that way only minor mods needed only problem is i have a hybrid intercooler but without piping might just sell it and go this kit
  23. it sits in the same position however the comp housing on the rb25 turbo is different and the rb30s intercooler piping goes underneath or something
  24. vl turbo kit or rb25 kit? and ads thanks again considering i have a little bit more room in my engine bay it should be a little bit easier haha
  25. haha you almost have haha i jsut keep running into problems as i go along but much appreciated of everyones help i have got so much more done in the last 2 months than i did in 2 years of it being off the road and ads i will try that its mainly the comp housing thats the diff between vl turbo and rb25 and i think the rb25 will work the best just may need extendin in some areas to accomodate for the larger engine bay.
