yeah that sucks dude, maybe some more alliances could be made with other car clubs like ozhonda and the wrx forums or attempt rotary again (dont know story behind that last time)? i got my mates looking for events through them but not to much is going on and we cant lower ourselves to look at holden forums lolol. dont know how there always booked out when were struggling to find an event, i guess theres lots of speed of street days and stuff. cant beleive were struggling for numbers in SAU events, i think people may get scared off from a 'track day' idk. to maybe beaters out there not enough car enthuasts owners imo. you dont need a 1000kw car to have fun. completely understand about losing money through the club though! eastern creek would be awesome! if it didnt go much over 250 for entry id defs be there!! although who knows whatll be happening in 2013, buying a house, going to europe and what not (hence the keeness for this year i guess)

Yeah that's what I thought, buying a rocker cover and cam gasket kit. Time to go digging!! Yeah pretty sure why?? Got the best mechanic in Wollongong to do it and got him to double check it after the noise started. Pretty well know gates belts make that noise. Wish I knew that before I got the bloody thing

But there solid lifters not hydraulic. Would this make a difference? Does anyone have a good reccomendation? Something in the 80-90 dollar range from Autobarn or alike?

i use 10-40 royal purple but yeah solid lifters so should do anything, ive heard a loose cam cover will make it louder so i think ill buy a rocker cover gasket and see if i can shut it up a bit.

in the video you cant really hear it inside the car (well you cant with laptop speakers) but you can.

=made a video of it. yeah i know it wont hurt anything, took it to wakie on saturday and nothing has changed as i was told it wouldnt. just find it annoying, want a nice pur. between that, the injectors going off there head and the gates timing belt (that you strangly cant hear in the video) its just frustrating haha. although if i have to change all the shims i think i will just leave it as ive been told its completely fine.

And injectors make there own defined noise.

Hey guys, i have been looking through the threads and theres nothing talking about an r34 gtt lifter being noisy and creating the common ticking noise which mine has. (lifters in an rb25 went from hydraulic to solid in the NEO when they put some gtr parts in the head for eco and performance benefits) so was just wondering if someone has had this problem and could give me some tips in fixing it. the noise is on the intake side of the engine so plan is to pull the rocker off and have a lookey, just wondering what to look for once i get it all apart. will the problem be very obvious orrrr??? i dont want to get all oily and what not and not know what im looking for hah. also if anyone has done this before is there much chance of fixing this ticking without replacing shims and having to take the cam shaft off and all that?

fair enough, well cooler and catch can would be on the list for the next one. i use royal purple 10-40, some very good tips there for a rich tune id probably need a tune first lol. i dont understand the sump things, i shall research thanks for your reply (i know i could go to another section but i figured there were alot of people on the day itd help a few guys out)

just wondering what a oil temp would be that would cause damage to your car?? mine was at to around 120 when i was really giving it. although at wakie in december it didnt get over 110 which was alot hotter day! could it be my coolant isnt as fresh as it was in dec?? defs getting an oil cooler before another day and only did 4 proper runs in my car, 1 where i was going for real PB breaking speed (pitty i didnt get someone to time the bastard haha, would of beaten it for sure!) also, if i were to get serious about track days what would be more things to protect the whole car??? (mainly the engine)

yeah i think 595s would suit him well, there pretty awesome for an all rounda! who was taking photos on the guard rail?? someone took a photo of me and dad in his soarer (me driving ) with us waving haha keen to see that one. it was second last number 4 session of the day.
