Dont they have the information of the exemption in their computer? they would see a P plater, pop in the rego and it would be listed on their licensing details??
-
Hey, what happened with your fine, did u have to pay it?
-
Hey, Just wondering with all the skyline drivers out there with the exemptions, (not many left as you could only get an exemption if you owned before the rules) do you guys get bugged by the cops. I mean like do you constantly get pulled over and asked about the exemption and you have to sit there for 45 mins will they do their 'breath tests' or do they just check that you have an exemption and let you on your way. My mate has just got an exemption for work purposes on a UTE and i was wondering if being a P plater driving a prohibited vehicle with an exemption causes a lot of heartache with the cops always checking to see if you have an exemption. Thanks

If your camera ever breaks or u need a replacement, the camera is a Clarion CC-455N on ebay for US $49
-
O well had a nice long post typed up with pictures on how i moved the camera etc... but refreshed the page and lost it all =(. So I ended up moving the camera to be situated above the number plate. All works fine =D. Had to slice the wires and extend them with $5 wiring from dicksmith. After that i drilled a hole in the bottom of the boot and fed the wires through and cable tied the camera firmly to the number plate. Gives a perfect view. Spent $11 over all and did in 3 hours. (I have no experience in electrical so anyone can do this if I can, just remember to disconnect the - on the battery. I covered the 3 holes with white silicone, cheap way but cant tell the difference. Unfortunately my original plan was to put the 350GT badge over the holes and cover the silicone but the paint has come away over the holes and will have to find another 350gt badge of a larger size to cover the missing paint. For now i have the GTR badge on (will replace as soon as i get the new badge.) Photo's below, pretty simple

Brake Combo For 2004 V35 Coupe
jawrgy replied to VNS 24's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
$59 brembo's, if u just want the look. I was thinking about getting white ones but the look on my mechanics face when he would see them at my next service put me off. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Infiniti-G3...=item230b0f2175 -
O well i got bored and fiddled around with the camera and figured it out. The plastic housing (big white thing) acts as a clip so u just need to slide a flat head down the side to get the camera component free. What my plans are is to remove the camera and cover the holes with the 350gt badge. I will then move the camera to be situated above the number plate because the camera is in its own waterproof case. My only problem is the cord. I need to buy additional wiring so the camera will reach above the number plate. My only problem is i cant tell what cord it is. I sliced a bit of the rubber in the boot to have a look but there where silver coils rapped around a white tubing. Maybe if someone know what this sort of cord is they could help me out so i can get some =D. theres a picture down low that has a picture of the wiring.

Hey, Ive checked through the threads but cant to seem to find an answer. What i want to know is how to disconnect/remove the reverse camera that comes on some v35's. I can get to the screws and undo them with a socket set but i cant seem to figure out how to disconnect the electrical cord that is attached to it. I didnt want to yank on it but it seemed pretty tight when i gave it a bit of a pull. So does anyone have any experience removing these camera's ill try post up a few pics but for now i cant be bothered as i just put it all back together and i cant be bothered unplugging all the little rivets that hold the boot cover in place. Theres a picture below so you know what camera im talking about If your interested there is not a big hole when u un-screw the camera, its just 3 holes, 2 for the screws and 1 for the cord. So it is possible to cover it up and shift the 350gt badge over it.

V35 Atracting Boy Racers
jawrgy replied to AlexanderWilde's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Id say the older you get the more you wouldn't care about cops etc because u have that age factor on ur side, the cops will be more lenient and not bug as much as a younger guy or P plater -
wallystyles needs a hug =P lol dont fight on SAU, all the main posters on here are like family and will get u banned or gang up on u...
-
i standz corrected
-
Lol =P calm down, I am helping by suggesting to look into people who have recently inquired about the car. Living in a dead end street means it is most likely not someone who drove by and saw it at random as an easy target. Skylines in general do stick out. How many other cars have perfect round singular lights like the rears of a skyline. and i do know how it feels to have ur car stolen , my first car, a honda civic (not as impressive as the skyline) was stolen from me but I can look at it in a good way because it led me to buying my v35.

course A and C are the same? or am i jst retarted edit: C has been removed
-
take out or disconnect the front dif =P then u can go to any dyno
-
I doubt they would use that car in a robbery.... 1) it stands out so poo poo's will spot it easy 2) im sure there are easier cars to steal, whats so special about using a skyline in a robbery 3) Most likely going to a chop shop. Best of luk getting it back, u must have been a target as well, being in an dead end street and all. Someone would have to have known the car was there so maybe if u have run into a few weirdo's recently maybe people at the petrol station (I say this cause i always get questions about my V35) or someone who has asked questions about ur car would be ur best bet.

IT twas I who stolez ur automobile.

V35 Atracting Boy Racers
jawrgy replied to AlexanderWilde's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
question. Cop sitting behind u and u take off quikly and say hit 80 in a 60 zone in the space of 100m, how can the cop judge your speed?. I know they can get u for reckless driving if your wheels leave the ground but im just wondering what they charge u with for taking off to fast. -
Maybe spend a bit more and for 22k you could get 350gt =D, V6 but 208kw and its a nice daily driver and from what ive herd not to bad for fun on the tracks.
-
even if they do get a reading they take u back to the station and test u there. That will give the ultimate reading. If u werent drinking and the intial breath test came up as positive the 2nd one will prove ur innocence and ur on ur merry way. But if u go to the station and u test positive... ur f*ked.
