  1. lol i always check my rear view for un-marked commo's or falcons, even then u still run a risk. thats why u try stay towards the end of the pack of cars when cruising around so you can go as fast as u want and see all. But when its just normal driving just ignore the 'hoons' =P
  2. Id suggest maybe not flying over just yet. If shit goes down no matter how it looks it is going to be on u. How does it sound when the police are questioning and they realize u flew up to Queensland for the sole purpose of confronting someone. Even if he comes at u, u where in the wrong place at the wrong time.
  3. even if it is an off duty cop he cant do anything. Unless it was like a sergeant or someone high up on the police ladder. Unless they have their ticketing book with them they cant give u fine. He doesn't even know if u had a license, rego wont be enough in court.
  4. Dont go commodore =S sort of a Bogans rich man car =P Well thats what i think
  5. Depends on a few things how long do u expect to own the car for? What sort of driving? Pleasure car or every day driver for work etc? Id say skyline but if you plan to own the car for 5+ years and drive it everyday then from a cost base situation you would go with the new car. (Fueld economy etc) If money is not an issue go with the one u like =D
  6. i got crappy consumption =(. 5.9km per L. But then it spreads out to 6.5-7 when i drive nicely. city diving by the way. I mean CBD lower north shore eastern suburbs etc Anyways i can improve it mechanically? or jst take it easy on the accelerator 2004 350gt auto coupe
  7. Question, If a cop is driving behind you and slaps your registration in the computer, what information does it tell him, EG -Will it come up with the cars history or the registered persons history(eg licensing, past offences etc). Or both Just a question off topic sort of, does the police database have information about P platers and if they have an exemption.
  8. Sounds like something no one has done in Australia. Go over the g35 forums and im sure some nut case in the USA has riced his vehicle out so much that it has 3 computers (1 dedicated to playing re-runs of The Fast and the Furious) and even a vending machine inside their car.
  9. Newbie here, any exhaust systems for an automatic that any1 can suggest, or is it all the same manual/auto
  10. Try not to get a 2003 model =S, they are prone to electrical problems such as windows failing and the radio/cd player screwing up. But then again u said it has 94,000km done so if it was going to have problems it would have happened by now or the previous owner has fixed them.
  11. White V35 leaving Glebe Point road onto Broadway, Same as mine =D Sydney
  12. With ur mentality and thought process of only seeing black and white i doubt any man would want to have a baby with u.
  13. .................. how thick are u. Sure he may be lying about going to church and the drive was only 5 minutes but when you see a new born and a mother just out of hospital maybe you can cut them some slack..... Rego can be done from a home computer, i believe he just legitimately forgot about the rego but like you the highway patrol was to thick and could not see that.
  14. You guys all suck. He is pointing out that highway patrol have discretion to enforce the laws. If they think you are doing something wrong they will use their 'discretion' to pull you over and fine you. But if its the other way around they dont use their 'discretion' to help a citizen out. The point our new father is trying to make is that they only use their discretion to fine people but not evaluate the situation if the person is in need of help. What happens if you had no family to come pick you up? are going to send a new mother and new born walking down the highway because their rego is out???? I highly doubt the patrol car would give them a ride. High way patrol should have evaluated the situation, checked their address and either A let them ride home B give them a ride. Yes cops are not taxi drivers but it comes back to the point the Highway patrol dont use their discretion to help people but only to fine people.
  15. U know you are quite the smart ass.... Always talking shit As Superwog would say "WAT A HEAD"!!!
  16. Blehh i just feel i have become more of an unsafe driver when i check my speedo every 10-15 seconds to make sure im not over the limit and check every mirror and my surroundings for cops when i go to overtake. If i wasnt so paranoid about cops being hard cord on 10-20 over the limit i would have my eyes 100% on the road and would in my mind pose less of a risk as i would not need to glance at my speedo and mirrors every other second and take my eyes off the road.
  17. NSW saw silver coupe with maybe a slight dent in the boot at Redfern parked outside a pub.
  18. Makes me appreciate living in NSW. I think you guys down there have it tougher.
  19. AHh another cop bashing thread. Like i have said before its society that is the problem. Sure its terrible when a police officer dies but when we have a week of front page news about the poor death of an officer and we close off the CBD for a procession, it truley shows how shallow minded Australians really are. In China 20,000 die in a mud slide and we see this news between the sports and the weather. People need to put things in perspective. Cops are there to enforce the law but when they start doing arrogant shit and enforce/prioritize 15km speeding over the limit to a assult charge (which does happen) then people get pissed off. Abusive power and if you question them and what they are doing they give you full force of the law "because they feel like it". And screw the cop who used a taser and killed the st george supporter with the taser. Tazer's are a replacment for guns. You would use the tazer in any situation you use a gun. An unmanned man refusing to cooperate is not a situation to use a taser.
  20. Ye and dont cut it..... From what i know a police officer must do general duties before they choose their sort of "major", when this promotion time comes they are given offers to serve as a detective etc.... But depending on their past performance of a junior their options are limited. Highway patrol is next to police accounting from what ive been told =P
  21. Police officers i love. Highway patrol is my problem. They arnt certified for "real police work" because they dont have the qualifications or the capacity to fulfill the roles of a normal police officer.
  22. I have underlined my point. Just because you have a pretty badge and a uniform makes them think they can rule over the rest of us. Why people still defend highway patrol boggles the mind.
  23. scummy cops.....if every highway patrol cop lost their job they would all be unemployed because A) they are too dumb to do anything else B) wont make it past the interview for any other job because the employer will see what true ass bags they r. My 2 cents (plz dont flame) my opinion on highway patrol.
