Ha ha was just looking through my receipts and zedhead hit the nail on the head that's the correct 1 and only part number for s1and s2 rs4 , a lot of the other aftermarket part company's will tell you other ones will fit but they won't they have the same size taper as a 34gtr i think 14mm but are a lot shorter in the shank .where as the ones listed at part dealers have a 12mm (too small) taper like 33/34 gtt but are correct shaft length ,
  5. I use genuine ones aswell and i can confirm that the tie rod ends listed at auto stores are the wrong taper 34 Gtr ones are the correct taper but are to short. So genuine it is , use search function the part number is on hear somewhere Cheers J

  9. Wouldn't you just be able to use a std or nismo lsd and place in your housing using your crown and pinion wheel . That's what I intend to do using the rs4s diff and cradle I have put in my s1 , but then swap my crown and pinion into it so ratios match my front diff, also ill get stronger axles that way and try and stop the whole snapping thing again .
  10. That's strange Shannon's would not do mine with out an engineers report! because rs4 s1 did not come out as a manual . And just cars said yes they would but then when I double checked with them turns out they would not . They will do anything when it comes down to not paying or reducing the amount they pay its there job

  13. Yeah my s1 is converted . And yep my insurance company was quite happy to insure , but when I delved deeper good luck getting a claim through , some company's won't touch it coz the fact the year and engine size don't match up to it being manual. Kind of like my work ute a ssz sustained some front end damage , a very well known insurance agency decide a special prestige car excess was to be charged at $800 , it's a bloody commonwhore guys only needed bonnett and front guards, there same as executive commodore panels lol
  14. , you might have trouble also with insurance as the s1 rs4 did not come out as a manual, only the 260s and s2rs4s .this can be tricky as it ya a easy out for the insurance company

"Mild" what sort of power you chasing ? 25 heads don't bolt straight on 30 block close but still few bits to alter and if you where going to do that you would be better off sourcing a neo head ,don't forget to factor In the cost of 4wd sump adapter and aftermarket computer to run the old girl .
