  1. No probs with mine. Just under $700, $20,500 full comp cover for NM35 ARX, NRMA, full no claim bonus, mature age (little do they know!).
  2. Have read Xtrail rear only is a match? Have found some drilled and slotted rotors oem size, cheap with good customer feedback and thought this would be an easy upgrade for road use. Mainly wanted to get rid of the front rotor shudder.
  3. Have read that and numerous other posts on SAU and M35stagea sites. Seems that often the year / model details are not complete and sometimes it is not clear if it is the rotors or pads or both that are compatible. I am trying to work out if - 03-05 Nissan 350Z Non-Track edition (without Brembo calipers) - 03-04 Infiniti G35 Non-Track edition (without Brembo calipers) - 05 Infiniti G35 AWD model F & R rotor and pads would fit. Some posts mention the 350Z but don't give any other details. Will keep searching.
  4. Have seen that weird little growth off the side before and have wondered how much it might help quieten the system. Guess it would take a bit longer to heat this part up as the hot gas doesn't flow straight through it so would stay cool enough for water vapour to condense a bit longer than the rest. Maybe they should put a drain plug in it!
  5. Unless he does really short trips continually I would have thought it would get too hot for water to condense in the resonator? With just the hiflow cat (instead of the one in the dump and one in front pipe) should be finding it gets hotter further back in the exhaust system now. Don't have a resonator in atm and is just 3" straight throught to original muffler and it is getting quieter so think the soot build up is most likely settling it down.
  6. Theory is that as AronNM35 mentions "black soot stuff" will build up in the new back muffler. A lot of the stuff that will build up would previously not made it that far back in the exhaust as the 2 cats would have looked after these wastes better that the one hiflow. The black stuff would be mainly carbon from partial combustion of fuel. Have replaced from turbo back on my ARX and just left the original muffler for now - it also seems to have become quieter over just 600km and was told this would happen. Maybe you could just turn up your music for a few months Ironpaw?
  7. Yep he has! Think I am sorted now.
  8. Thanks for the info Andy, will call and see what price and how long to do. What did it cost you and how long did it take? Matt
  9. Might be interested in the turbo if you are parting it? PM?
  10. Have a chipped exhaust turbine with scoring to housing. Found when pulled off the dump. Anyone got a second hand OEM turbo for sale? Price? Car is in Sydney at the moment so other option is hiflow / kit out? Can anyone let me know where in Sydney I could get this done and what they paid please?
  11. Doesn't include the low profile fan? Think it was this seller that responded saying you don't need the thinner fan but guys that have fitted one on this forum say you do?
  12. Thanks - probably the other end of their torso talking.
  13. Thanks mate that's another one cleared up. Will pass it back to the source as well! Matt
  14. It has just been suggested to me that there are issues with standard ECU / tune if you decat the front pipe or put a high flow cat in with new front pipe. As there are no more sensors after the one in the dump pipe this seems like bollocks to me and have not read anything about this anywhere on these forums. So can some one with stock ECU, custom dump and decat or highflow in front pipe just confirm there are no issue with how it runs on a stock ecu. Thanks
  15. If I turn mine off when the Monitor / DVD Reciever is playing a track eg from USB it goes back to the start of the track?
  16. Cut that diagram out of one section of the manual. It only has the diagrams most of the text is gobbledygook. Downloaded it from some where on this site - I think - have been looking and can not find it again. Hate the search function for this otherwise great site! Can anyone else tell Sage 222 where the manual is please. If no response PM with email and I will send - from work of course. Biggest section is 5.29Mb. most 1Mb and smaller.
  17. This seller claims the kit can be used with the standard fan no slim line required and not supplied? Comments from some one who has fitted one?
  18. Guys, Do you reckon he should reset the ECU so the transmission adapts changes, kick down characteristics to his driving?
  19. Other forums have tried having 2 posts - one to give others a heads up there is item "x" if anyone is interested - another to "shotgun I saw it first lets not push the price up". All that happens is people use both as a source of items to bid on. So you are right you just shut up and hope no one else finds it! That Dolphin inter kit would already cost $967 delivered by sea through IM - $489 looks OK but not once you add the extras! re the probs - transmission? - company purchased from is paying to truck it to Sydney so they can make sure it is fixed properly even though the re5ro5a is a pretty common one. Local mechanics can't even tell for sure is trans as it seems to have put the motor into limp but not put up any codes or warning lights. I thought it was turbo to start with! Whinning and no power all of a sudden going up a hill.
  20. That's probably because you were doing 103 and they were doing around 120 - the 10% + 1km over the limit you can get away with on the NSW part of the Hume. Mine reads 110 when doing 103 - 5kmh is due to usual manufacturer margin - rest due to rolling diameter differrence in the tyres. The GPS check is a must do. These lounge chairs are easy to get up to 140plus overtaking without watching what you are doing.
  21. My undestanding is you will go through a lot of fuel on very short trips as it will run very rich in the first few minutes until gets to working temp. Have read that while full stationary warm up at low revs before driving of is in fact bad for engine, a 30 to 60 sec warm up could reduce fuel consumption as has started to warm up before placed under load. Have achieved under 10L/100km on straight Hyw work and 13 to 15 for mainly 22km each way commute - country driving. (Cringe expecting to be corrected before pressing "Add Reply")
  22. Even at the current price $357 the SH Dolphin through importmonster would come to about $790 sea, $830 air (over double the sale price) so no point ....except has an intake kit with it. Got a key to reprogram through them and it went from $20 sale price to around $50 delivered - realy seems to much. Now fingers crossed no one else bids on the zorst! HINT
  23. Thanks iamhe77 and scotty n35. Bit of misinfo early on got me confused - now sorted on what is what and the replacement options. Haven't played with cars much for last 20 yrs and even then they weren't new ones so few bits have changed just a little!
  24. Loaded my ARX onto a truck to go back back to Sydney for warranty repairs. Ahh living in the country fresh air, the mountain views and no bastard has the slightest idea what is what if it is if not a smelly falcodore! Now waiting to see how many scractches and chips the spotless paint gets in transit. (Still)
  25. Yeah been watching it for days. Have contacted seller, has no leaks just cosmetic damage. Lets all bid on it and push the price up. Same deal with a zorst on there at moment. Has to go dead cheap or all the fees and transport kill! Had been thinking there might be some way the SAU M35 community could some how communicate to avoid pushing importmonster prices up? Matt
