Aussie Delivered R32 Gtr's
Aussie_Delivered_R32_GTR replied to BoyWhoCriedWolf's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I just stick with OEM Nissan. How much better can a Nismo timing belt be in car that does less than a 1000 kms per year? If I drove the car a fair bit more then an uprated part such as a NISMO oil pump I would consider. Generally speaking if you drive the car as a weekend toy with track work then 99.9% of the OEM Nissan parts would be fine. My V-Spec 11 however is different. I would use upgraded parts in that without question. Bob. -

I appreciate the kind words but there are others here with excellent knowledge on the subject too..... To best answer your question, I have attached a spreadsheet of recent V-Spec 1 and 2 auction sales where the cars were rated to at least a grade 4 level. The long and the short of it is that you will get little change out of $35K. That's for a sub 60,000 kms car with no repair damage, documented history and books in original condition. Finding a car locally is near impossible and as prices increase in Japan, the Australian delivered versions become more appealing. As a lot of us know, a 31,000 kms ADM sold at Shannons auction last November for $50K. It should have sold for more, the buyer got a bargain and a half. 3 years earlier, I bought my 54,000 kms ADM for $53K so that gives you a rough idea of their values. A couple of forum members currently have their ADM's for sale but having considerably higher mileage, they are yet to find new homes. I hope this helps......... Bob. I've just about finished refurbishing my R32 GT-R V-spec 2 and the all up cost is about $27K. It has done 106,000 kms. This is now a turn key car with 271rwkw (Unigroup did the tune) but looks totally stock except for the bigger exhaust. I've even put the original radio cassette player in it for nostalgic looks but it does have some sensational Rockford Fosgate speakers under the original covers. You will get a pretty average car for $17K but my expectations and others may not be the same. I sold a very nice std 1990 GT-R back in October for $25K so realistically that's what you need to spend to get something pretty good. Here are a couple of pics of my new car, the tint has since been removed. Cheers, Bob.

Hi Guys, Sorry for a dumb question but what the trick in removing the horn button from an original R32 steering wheel? Thanks in advance. Cheers, Bob.

No....... Jet Silver Metallic was discontinued at the end of Series 1 cars in August 1991.Paint Code KG1 The shade changed slightly lighter in Spark Silver (some actually call it Sparkling Silver) which started with Series 2 cars in August 1991. Paint Code KL0 The list is posted here - http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=207531 The ADM and JDM Red is the same colour with the same colour code. The only thing that changed slightly was the name. In Japan it was sometimes know as either Red Wine Metallic or Red Pearl Metallic. In Australia, the Dealer bulletin clearly lists is simply as Red Pearl Metallic. Paint Code AH3. I hope that clears things up. Bob.

Yep....... Mine must be fake then as yours is the same as my red ADM. Oh well another one for the list. Approx. A$71.50 - here - http://nissan.epc-data.com/skyline/bnr32/3891-rb26dett/body/990/84815MF/ If anyone needs one, make sure you get the correct colour code for your car, mines KLO. Marco..... Yours wont be listed as I've only searched for Series 2 cars built after August 1991. Your Jet Silver is slightly different to my Spark Silver. Cheers, Bob.
