Hi John, No........ No alternative. I did the same. $200 mask as it screws straight in. The exchange rate was a lot better when I bought mine but it was still $150. The only other thing you can do is use that heat shrink stuff to secure the broken section. These are the sort of things that i just "suck it up" and pay the money. I've long forgotten about the money but driving around with a busted aerial would do my head in! Good luck....... Bob.

Hi Guys........ Thought I'd just post an update. I test drove a 2007 BMW M3 V8 today. As you would expect it is a beautifully built car but the one thing that surprised me again was the outright performance. Yes.... It's naturally quick but not in the way the GT-R is. The GT-R really has a WOW factor when pushed at 4500+ RPM's. The M3 felt a bit lethargic. On paper it should be considerably quicker but it's not! I don't think the car I drove was in perfect health so I'll make an allowance but once again, like with the STI I'm very comfortable is how good the R32 is. Ok...... Next on the list to drive is a 2003-2007 Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG. Cheers, Bob.

No and no....... ADM's (Australian Domestic Models) of which there were 100 (all delivered into Australia in 1991) were all STD GT-R's except for Australian design rule compliants. (V Specs weren't released until 1993 in Japan). There are over 200 changes to a normal JDM and about 50 hrs of labour before the cars were delivered to the Australian dealerships. The one you are referring to was recently sold at a Shannons auction for $50K. I naturally would have liked to see it sell for more and I thought it would get closer to $60K than $50K but it wasn't to be.

Yeah.. I noticed that too but it's obviously not. Ben just enquired at the right time. I needed to consolidate and the JDM was the locical one to go. Yeah....... I was at the auction and was a little dissapointed that it didn't go for a bit more. I thought it was certainly worth $55K but I guess that's just the way it goes. I'm not sure if Jim the seller is still on the forum but if he is I'd be interested to know who bought it, what state the buyer is from and just any other info he may be able to provide.
