    Good Tow Cars?

I got yuan. And can confirm its awesomeness. Bloody frugal too.
  2. If you haven't already, download the Rallysafe app. It's free, and full of awesome! Live timing, stage positions, everything a bloke stuck at work in Qld could need.
  3. Good to hear everyone! Everyone seems to be fairly relaxed and ready, most unusual! Must be "old hands" at it now huh Wish you all a great event, and Kel, best of luck with the Platinum my dear! I'd of course like to be back sometime. And to be honest, I'm not really sure what it is that's keeping me away? Maybe next year I did very much enjoy the course car gigs, but Sam and Dan have put a lot of effort into that side of things with Jaaaaaaag, and good on them for bringing Jag to the party I say. Any hot tips for class/outright honors? With the Lambo out who's the team for an outright win?

    Good Tow Cars?

Yep, used one heaps. Tow good, needed a good custom tow bar made though. We towed heaps interstate, was a great distance hauler for two blokes. The guy taking a rest could recline in back with a DVD. We did multiple qld to Tas trips, towing over two tonne each time. Electric braked trailer.
  5. Well, good luck young Ben! Enjoy it mate!
  6. So......... how many of you lucky buggers are doing Targa Tas? Not long now! How's the prep going etc?
  7. Evidently! Thanks for the explanation! lol

    Good Tow Cars?

I had a Hemi 5.7 litre Grand Cherokee for a few years. 2006 model, what Oz calls a "WH". It was a fkn good thing. Never once let me down, and towed awesome. More posts are herein.
  9. Nice car mate. I spoke to your Dad at Buller a couple of years ago after the last stage. If it WAS your old man, I rate him, what a character! 80mm ride height might be ok, I've never actually measure my actual ride height. Spring rate wise on a typically rally weight 33R I'd be looking at 600lb FR, 400RR. If you like a stiff feeling car you could maybe step the front up to 650. That's my own personal opinion/preference. Other guys will tell you to run much stiffer, in the rear particularly. Personally, I like a car more friendly to the bumps. Still, you need to ensure you're not bottoming out on the big ones..... and therein lies some of the challenge that is Targa
  10. Except a 23 gtst does make sense in a value/performance/ease of mod/strength/reliability equation type viewpoint.

McLaren would have been better served grabbing Sutil up. The lad is fast.
  15. Great stuff Snowy..... Keen to watch many fasts!
  16. If "pay on the day" is ok and you're happy with me vouching for guys having the appropriate Lakeside experience and smarts, I can have two, possibly three, more cars at this event.....
  17. Have just emailed off the appropriate form and receipt. Fingers crossed for a nice sunny morning! See you there! (Can my passenger pay on the day?)
  18. Count me in with a +1 Will complete form soon.
  19. No question. The overtaking car is at fault. (Or rather, the camera car driving into the side of another car in a true overshot/understeer of fail moment).
  20. I'm juiced up for this, will confirm if its just me or a +1 before I send the form in.
  21. Congrats Team DanSam Great to see you had a successful and what appears fun event!
  22. Were you also merry when you posted this? Is "merry" same as "smashed outa my fkn mind"?
