damn that sucks big time dude! id say you got you got more time with the car off the road to do your manual trans conversion and get some stuff like that sorted. no point in it sitting there for 4 months and then you get it back and it goes off the road again. 4 years ago i lost my privledges to drive in NSW for 12 months but was ACT licenced so i could still drive in ACT. wore a massive fine and the cop said if i had a NSW license it would have been torn up by him and thrown me in a paddy wagon.

the orange R33 in question ive seen with a blonde driving has a URAS style bodykit and ducktail spoiler. see it most weekends around woden area. it was all good til i saw her spark up a smoke and start puffin away with the window 90% up

geez sounds like youve done abit of work. so you put a BA DOHC 6cly in? or an AU VCT? i converted my ED to manual, SOO much better than those shity BTR auto boxes. well i stand corrected if you've done most of that shit your laughing yeh get a personal loan because if you get a 'car loan' you have to pay full comp insurance for the first 3 years of the loan (thats what we had to do with NAB and then a condition of the loan was we had to put 12 months rego on at a time not 3 or 6 months (canberra) but it was a brand new car). +1 for putting afew extra bucks on each payment. also read the fine print about early payout fees. because if you smash the loan and pay it off too early they can sting you $100-$300

did you use a new cable or fitted an old cable? i would try a brand new cable and make sure you route it properly. otherwise something in your cluster might be binding causing the end to break off

what im saying is, i get the impression that when you say your still on your P's that your aged between 17-21? and you've been at uni doing non-automotive based degree for 3 years, so cant have that much expierence can you?

well as far as trade ins go you'll get a shocking price for it. i had an 07 T30 X-trail STS-Xtreme that was i paid 29k (32k with no options retail) for nissan employee price and had it for 4 years and put 95k on the clock and about 10k worth of suspension, exhaust, engine mods and stereo, thing was immaculate and had service history of every 5k service and got offered on average about 13k for it and the lowest i got offered was 9k. i ended up getting offered 18k but pulled my subs and amps out. i would have sold it privately but i found the stagea and made an offer so it had to go asap. its now sitting on a used car lot with 24.990 on it and they removed my $800 alpine headunit and replaced it with a $120 alpine unit, idiots. i wouldnt trade it unless your that urgent to get rid of it

thats a good price i think, with tasteful minor mods. you should get some interest eventually. is it advertised in the forsale (whole car) section? maybe throw it on afew other sites and classifeds and see how you go. if not might be worth selling some goodies like the exhuast, FMIC and the nistune seperatly and trading it. best of luck

but its construction, you could be in one place for 6 months and then pack up and move to the next sit that might have shit parking and you might have to lug some tools etc. "i've worked on tons of cars, experience isnt needed" - well given your talking about getting an N/A car til your off your P plates and have been at UNI for 3 years, i cant see how you would figure that but best of luck mate.

um, you going to buy an S2K and drive it to a construction sight? where it will be covered in dirt, concrete dust and get sprayed with gravel when the knob with the SS ute rips a skid leaving for the day. not to mention trucks and people walking past it with tool belts on etc. buy a shitty old ute, even a falcon ute or better still buy a rough S13 (n/a SR) and drive that to work cos if you scratch it you wont give a f**k and if something breaks on it you get the experience of fixing it. just saying it wont be practical. its like buying a nissan micra and getting a towbar put on it cos you like to go take the caravan down the coast with the kids every weekend
