  1. Ok, question for those in the know. i bought some R34GTT calipers and rotors from a SAU member. before i fit them il be looking to buy some braided lines and was wondering if after market braided lines to suit R34GTT would fit my S2 RS4-S with R34GTT calpers? front brake Q: if im not mistaken the R34GTT skyline has a banjo fitting on a solid metal line had goes to the opposite side of the hub then turns in to a rubber line then back to a metal line on the body. now my stagea (looking though the wheel) has a banjo fitting to short rubber line to metal line to the opposite side of the hub then back to rubber line and then back to metal line on the body. now im wondering if i buy R34GTT braided lines, do they cancel out/replace the metal line and go from body metal line to the caliper un-interupted? or go i need to track down some R34 metal brake lines? Cheers
  2. dang that is cheap and sexy^
  3. @griffin - wowzers, something about that photo hints to me 'stagea vs. guard rail', im guessing the guard rail is still the reigning champion?
  4. hahahaHAAH Daleo!!! correct me if im wrong but they advertise custom R34>C34 quarters in Performance imports mag and even hot4s?
  5. I got an s2 RS4-S with no guages above the climate control? my interior is very close to an R34GTT and you sit very low in the car and yes rear LSD (mines very tight and skips the inside wheel on tight turns. if you want to know if it was originallt manual get someone to run the vin though FAST, also with the clutch, if its heavy i dare say the pressure plate has packed it in (or it has a heavy duty clutch) but doubt it) instead of the slave but its worth using that problem to bargin them down.

@zoomzoom ~$100 in seals? where do you shop cos your getting done in the eye. you can get genuine nissan cam cover gaskets online for ~$50 for both and even cheaper for generic brands from local auto stores. why you would go to the trouble to strip all that gear off the engine to do the job and re-fit a hardened seal with abit of hi-temp silicon gasket has got me stuffed. i also worked at a nissan dealer where they use an orange and a grey gasket maker, grey was for alloy metal on metal surfaces like thermostat housings and water pumps etc. orange stuff was for oil locations like sumps and half moon seals etc, never saw anyone do the full circumference of the rocker cover but i guess it happens out there. just like the magna i did a rego on last week that someone used a fibreglass repair kit on a hole in the muffler, some people just cheap out like that
  7. HAHAHA^^^. that article is way of the mark.
  8. eyelet rears - will suit autos only, not RS4-S or 260RS
  9. how old is the belt? if you recently replaced it, what brand was it? i believe RB30's are also a free spinning/ non-interference engine, wasnt 100% with 25's but now i know
  10. old e series falcons run auto trans fluid in the 5 spd manuals, when i converted my ED falcon from auto to manual, when i heard it took auto trans fluid i researched it for a few days til i was confident enough to put the auto fluid in.
  11. mate if someone hit you then their insurance company (if they are insured) will have to pay for repairs or pay-out the market value of the vehicle if written off. aslong as you got all their details i would take it to afew panel beater joints (up market ones) and get about 3 repair quotes (if repairable) and forward them to his insurance company.
  12. @captinsane, what brand bushes are you using? you could use those pillow ball/solid mount/uni joint/shiney metal style adjustors but they require more maintainence (cleaning and re-lubricating etc) also any modification to the bumpstop is illegal in any state so if you need to pass a rego slip soon i wouldnt unless you go spares. dont get me wrong my vw touches the ground with no bumpstops so i love lowered cars but yeh id either pull em out or find some GTR ones to cut.
  13. what brand? hotbits? what are your brakes like? it pull up ok?
  14. hey mate, xtrail is looking good as! those koya drifteks? those drive by vids are good, damn the front lifts up abit, need to get some coilovers STAT! haha

    Radiator

yeh like if you live -20 degree conditions in the middle of the day you would need it, i believe now some german cars have electric elements in the engine oil sump to heat the oil so its easier to crank when cold?

    Radiator

i dont understand either, the auto-trans specialists up the road from my work say built in radiator trans coolers are rubbish. and then why do people fit large external trans coolers for "towing/extreme condition/high perfomance applications" ? also read an article in a 4X4 mag that said the higher your auto fluid temps the shorter your auto trans life and it had a graph with "auto fluid temp" over 'hours of life". all autos will be sluggish when cold regardless of 'heated' or external cooler. My x-trail i just sold (my07) had a built in cooler and i fitted an external cooler and it drove the same, had long drawn out gear changes for the first 5 mins of driving til the trans fluid got up to temp, the external cooler didnt take any longer or shorter to heat up than the built in one. personally i would run the cooling pro manual stagea 3 core radiator, a moderate size external tranny cooler and a top quality trans fluid. also as chuckie mentioned, use the search function and there is a billion radiator and tranny cooler threads
  17. no probs, theres afew diffent scales of M35s but most are diecast on plastic stands etc

  19. thats the line i was enquiring about, im aware alot of people are running the 350z rotors but will 350z brembos only bolt up to m35's?
  20. Not sure about SA but in the ACT a few years back you needed an Engineers Report, then it was changed to if you had them fitted you had to take it to dickson RTA "pits" only, now they have been relaxed so much that they are considered the same as lowered springs but if a car is defected for being too low and comes in to clear the defect and its at a normal height, you have to mark the coil over threads with paint so next time they can see if they've tampered (aka slammed it again) with them and they get a slap on the wrist
  21. hey Ray, how much for the dayz rear bar? colour, cond. etc? PM cheers
  22. 350z stuff wont bolt up to a C34 though? i thought that was an m35 upgrade?
  23. R33 GTR = 17x9 +30 R34 GTR = 18x9 +30 @Dr. J = ive seen people run staggered fitment rims with the same sized tyres front to rear on GTRs and an EVO, not sure if it caused issues but cant see why it would. @Big Fella = is yours auto or manual?
