  1. Thanks guys- will definately check the timing out. There is more than one flat spot, and i think im using too much fuel aswell.
  2. Hey guys- I have recently bought a standard 95 gtst and have been having problems with it having flat spots. I have replaced the plugs and gapped them at 0.8, replaced the coils with splitfires, and changed the fuel filter. The car is stock with only minor mods exhaust, pod, r34 smic and a turbotech boost controller set at 9 (As low as i could..) The problem was definately worse on the old coils and plugs, and its not popping and spluttering anymore but it still has flat spots under hard acceleration. I have noticed that if i back off slightly as it starts to miss, and continue to feed power in it drives really well.. (Eg driving at 3/4 throttle the car accelerates fine) I realise these are newbie questions but any help is appreciated. Cheers
  3. Just bought my r33, It is standard but was behaving in a very similar way to the ops. I cleaned the aac valve, and it solved it completely.
  4. Thanks mate- chasing an aftermarket one that connects between aftermarket dump and 3 inch cat.
  5. R 33 gtst stock side mount intercooler, good condition. Make an offer.. pickup only (Newcastle nsw)
  6. wanted- 3' high flow cat for r33 gtst
  7. Hey guys, i have just bought a 95 gtst and am having these problems. Its pretty inconsistant, and it ran noticably better when i replaced a coil that was cracked on the rubber part over the plug, I have tried taping them but wasnt sure whether i need to tape the rubber part that goes over the plug too. Did you guys tape the rubber part? I have also changed the plugs and regapped them to 0.8 The car only runs cat back zorst, a pod filter and the solenoid mod, but hits around 9psi. I dont think too much boost is the issue at the standard level though.
  8. After a pair of front rotors, new or slightly used prefered.
  9. Needing a front pipe for my r33 gtst that connects from dump to cat. I think its 3" Cheers
  10. Hey guys, just wondering if you also silicon the rubber that goes over the plug? sorry for the newbie question..
  11. Yeah i did a little more research and its good for the 200-220rwkw range. I put mine on today and im pretty happy for the $100 it cost me, it will get me through.
  12. Stalking this one.. Can we get some advice on rotor choice as well.
  13. Bought my 95 r33 gtst from a friend for $4k. 11 months rego, 130,000km, 5spd, cat back zorst, buddy club susp. Paint needs love, but body is straight as a dial. Coils pretty sus, and needed a good service but otherwise mechanically great. After driving this for a few months i honestly cant think of a better car under $10. Plans are rims, front mount and hi flowed turbo. Will also look at injectors and fuel pump upgrade, either way it will still come under 10k and i will be looking at 230rwkw
  14. I had mine off and it definately did the same thing.. I ended up connecting it back up and doing it with the wire, but i am hitting 9 sometimes 10psi and i have only got a cat back and pod. Cant wait for my turbo back..
  15. Yeah thats the sort of thing im doing. Just bought mine, it has cat back exhaust and pod already, but need a dump and highflow cat. For now i have just done the solenoid mod, but getting a turbotech manual controller to run 10 psi. Its running well as is, so i cant wait to finish it. Do you think the 34 smic would handle a highflowed standard turbo?
  16. Hi mate- will you post the intercooler to 2295? definately keen
  17. Just finished doing this mod to my 95 gtst. It definately works well- my car is registering higher boost at earlier rev range. Best 5 minute job ever.
  18. Sweet dude, doing this mod pretty soon. From what i can see its easy, practical and flows better than the 33 unit. What else have you got on your car?
  19. Hi mate- do you have a link/price for the dump pipes? After one for my 95 gtst
  20. WTB Front rotors for 33 gtst with good meat, also chasing a wastegate actuator out of r32 so i can run 10psi.
  21. Hey guys, Im new to skylines and to the site. I have recently bought a 95 gtst and being new to these cars, need some direction in getting a little more power. It is standard besides the suspension, but already has cat back exhaust and a pod filter. My question is where to go next? After looking around the forum, i figured i need to source a dump pipe, hi flow cat, intercooler and some sort of boost contoller. Basically i want to get as much power as i can without spending huge dollars, and if i can keep it as stealthy as possible (police) that would be awesome. Cheers
