1. Just checked there's an 09 going for 107k in QLD in RED and it's only done 20,000kms which is pretty low for any car. Would you guys say this depreciation would slow down alot because for 3 years it's alot of depreciation.
2. I've noticed they depreciate pretty fast, not so good for sellers but good for buyers. I think I saw one go for 100k, it was the first year model but it's still a GT-R.
3. 1000ps is no joke, for a road car it's incredible.
4. I spotted a white one once on the highway, I must say it looks alot wider and lower in real life. Pictures make it look narrow and tall but it's actually a very sexy car.
5. I just can't see how this car can get better. It's incredible and to think they can make it better is truly epic.
6. When I blew a catalytic converter in my E46 330i the car started to misfire. I got crazy codes on OBD so yes a blown catalytic converter will wreak havoc.
7. I don't know about that to be honest because if it's in the parent's name and an accident occurs alot of legal issues might pop up. If they allow it in their policy then sure but why would they do that? They want to rob people blind especially youngsters so they don't exactly want you to save.
8. A decent paintjob is EXPENSIVE and trust me you do not wanna get a 1k paint job.
9. How big is your shed? I personally would love to have a large workspace but my garage is not very roomy, it's big for a garage but small as a work area in the way that I imagine it.
10. What modifications do you have to your car and how much power is it making if you don't mind me asking?
11.

+ 1 I love when people get all the parts at once and do a build rather than gradual progression.
12. TO be honest it's kind of redundant since the GT-Rs gearbox compensates for any "lag". The car shifts so fast and is in the right gear anyway so why add the complexity of a twin charger. Awesome innovation though and will be great to see how it runs. This was done on an EVO 6 once and it was great, the response was amazing but it had alot of issues. The supercharger needed to be on a clutch too so it turns off when the turbo kicks in.
13.

@ the reindeer nose XD I agree, it looks silly but it's a GT-R, I'd take one for free even in pink
14. PS. As for the Camaro I'd say that's a joke. I mean you have a Ferrari and a Camaro in the same list, Jesus Christ. In the states when the Camaro is cheap then maybe but here in AUS forget the Camaro mate honestly I've ridden in one, it's an awesome car but for the price they go for here it's a bloody joke.
15. Forget the M3, forget the Ferrari and forget the Mercedes, get the GT-R, none of those cars can match it believe me.
16. I say get the GT-R, forget the Camaro they sell them for nothing in the states and then they come here and RAPE people on taxes and conversion. Honestly with the way they tax imports it's RAPE, legal RAPE. Add insult to injury that the Camaro was in fact built by Aussies and we have to pay a fortune to even get in one. All of this to save the stupid domestics which no one wants, if german and other imports were cheap honestly Holden and Ford Australia would DIE. They just can't compete so they put these stupid taxes which most of the world doesn't have to save them at the expense of our pockets and options.
17. You have no idea how much I hate you right now you lucky duck :-( That's my dream car right there my heart is now broken :'( ...... All jokes aside mate I'm happy for you and that's awesome Good luck and if you don't post vids there will be MAYHEM
18. Get it and throw a massive turbo on it, screw the P Plate laws they're just stupid. Believe me with a turbo the girls will throw themselves at you. Try to hide it in the trunk or somewhere under the seats or just run a 1000 shot of NOS like in 2 Fast 2 Furious, don't forget to scream "Gotta go dogg" when you school a "nOOb". Stickers and a subwoofer are must haves, stickers will give 20-50hp depending on which ones and how big they are. A subwoofer will get the chicks attention. If a cop tries to harass you remind him that you're a G wid a Skyline and that you're "connected". Play the music below and you will be DK. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mR8KRBWKIoI
19. Actually the phone thing sounds good, the cops would be able to if you give them proof of ownership and the car has been stolen. Would be great to see one of these scumbags thrown in the big house.
20. Scum, just scum, get your own cars you jobless losers. People, get those alarms which have SMS to alert you if you're away, trust me people don't give a **** about alarms if they hear them. Insurance is also invaluable but I guess the best way is not to park anywhere dodgy or dark and try to be vigilant. At least make it harder to get.
21. You might as well do an R34 conversion, R32 GT-Rs aren't that expensive these days anyway but don't let anyone stop you if you want to work on a project but remember, resale value will still be for a GTST and you have to count for workshop costs and labor etc etc. Try starting with a 4WD Skyline as that's easier, or make a rear wheel drive GT-R.
22. Sorry man I did search but couldn't find any, maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Can you give me some of those company names I would really appreciate it. By the way, Mingy, I was talking about functional gain, not looks, it would probably be painted anyway.
23. The thing is how do you find a place to make the molds for you? Now Skylines have alot of carbon fiber options but other cars don't and the only way is custom, I don't know why there's aren't alot of fabricators as it is a profitable skill. I was talking more like carbon roof, bumper, trunk, hood etc etc. A lip is easy compared to those. Interior parts are also easier as strength isn't really that much of an issue compared to body parts. Also getting a part to fit like the factory counterpart is an issue.
24. I'm not trolling or anything but how hard is it to make your own carbon fiber body panels like bonnet, bumpers and trunk etc I realize you need the materials and tools but couldn't the average Joe learn how to make them? I know F1 teams have labs and all but people make sub boxes and dash boards. I mean....how hard can it be (Not a Top Gear reference). Either way I've seen people vacuum bag parts in their garages. The reason is carbon fiber parts are EXPENSIVE. Isn't it the aussie way to DIY?? We could even make quality parts and share molds and materials. By the way I haven't seen any CF fabricators in AUS, anyone know any professionals who make body parts? I'm sure there are, I mean all the race teams. Also do the V8 Supercars use CF or aluminum parts?
25. let me know if u decide to do the parting out, I need some stuff
