Maybe i'm biased - never owned a gtst - driven a few, but not on track.... But if i bought a gtst instead of a GTR (nearly did), then id still have in the back of my mind 'when am i going to upgrade to a GTR'... If you put the same mods on a stock gtst to a stock gtr, ie stickies on both, suspension on both etc etc... I still see the GTR being faster.

Yeah i tried one on my old car (VR Calais) and it reconed i was pulling 7.25 0-100 or something which i didn't think was right

Hmmm is htis WRX stock? I've seen my friends (been in my friends) gtsts while they ate wrx's (both lightly modified).. since they now both run ~210rwkw as soon as they get traction is bye bye wrx... my car is a whole other story as for the track, we all saw what a brand new stock wrx does on the track - snowman @ winton http://gtr.ferni.net/photos/06%20-%20Winto...s/IMG_1310.html ahah, brakes smoking, understeer, body roll.. wasn't a pretty sight.

4.34 was the best i got when i first got my car with a gtech, clutch was average, slipped a little, and had a passenger and crap tyres ... since i have upgraded clutch (bites ALOT harder) and bit better tyres, and i think my driving has got a little better... i did a few runs that night was getting around mid 4 sec 0-100 ~260rwkw.... I find if i don't launch, or bog, i get around 5sec 0-100, i recon same gtech, same flat road, with my new clutch, tyres etc. i could get closer to 4sec flat Was running 12.4's on the gtech that night as well (passenger, full tank fuel, clutch slip etc..) but been told gtechs aren't very accuriate. i was launching around 5500-6000 i think... but couldnt full throttle right away since the clutch would just slip.

Correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't hte engineering have anything to do with it? The GTR is heavier, but it also has the 4wd, a stiffer body, different wheel base etc... surely this has to play into it somehow as well?

INASNT: sure but i didn't say anything about the driver, i was suggesting did he think he could get a gtst to run same times as Bens GTR, as in same driver (Roy)... I belive there is more to the engineering of a GTR compared to Gtst than just 4WD. both are great cars... edit: oops looks like i did say 'he gets his car around the track' I didn't mean that, i meant how quick his car gets around the track... sorry

WHat about Ben from racepace's R33 GTR Troy? Recon you could ever get a gtst around the track as quick as he gets that around the track?

good idea, and if it is in peices at least you can't be tempted to drive it

So you're pretty much advertising that people shouldn't buy your car that you're selling INASNT, they should guy buy a stock car and mod it themselves

Merli: yeah so i guess that shows that the GTSS are flowing much more air than standard turbos... where is boost coming on with them at the moment? same/earlier/later than before? EVL: thats still 300rwkw!, standard turbos??

Troy, buy a GTR, you know you want to join us

Its nice to build up your own car with mods, your own touch etc.. but its ALOT cheaper to buy one already done, plus less stress, but also less fun... depends what he wants, to spend more money to build what he wants and learn along the way, or to just have a nice already built car to drive.. I love my car, but if i had the chance to go back, i'd be tempted to buy one that had been modded already, but with what i want.

Yep asked about a SAU discount - explained that a while ago therewas a group buy that went through and they got it discounted for 200 or so, he said yeah but its changed owners recently, so not much he can do - he was a nice guy, the manager i spoke to...

just called camberwell, nice guy, same speel as the narre warren one 495 for a sedan in formula 1 plus... 100 dollars off special so 395... and said he would throw in the strip of my existing tint into that price... so not much different to narre warren.. ohh and there is some free dvd player with it hahah

I think the carbon fibre blade looks good on the white GTR... but dont think it looks that good on purple Any photos of the new lip fitted yet Simon?
