  1. yeah...i think we can continue the discussion with engines that are built correctly in mind...
  2. They are still both fluids, so the principles are the same. I was only refering to the pump itself, not the whole system...so it was a just a bad analogy on my behalf This is correct and why i was asking about the upper operational pressure of the oem pump...if it's running at 120psi at 8000rpm, why can't you run the nitto at 120psi?
  3. yes and no. Different pump designs, oil viscosity, temp etc will dictate the flow rate at a given pressure...essentially it's the same principle as aftermarket turbo's, the airflow @6psi on a stock turbo can be totally different to the airflow @6psi on an aftermarket turbo And just to add to the rest of the conversation, does an n1/oem oil pump operate at ~120psi (8bar) at redline?
  4. BTW happy new year everyone.
  5. Spotted a silver r33 going south though hexam at ~11:30am today.
  6. Good advice benji. Well, on my way back to Perth. Holiday was too short :-( Picked up my front pipes and covers from Paul today. They still need a bit if work, but just waiting on a new cat and the engine will be basically done and ready for some boost and rpm. Also saw the first commercially sold Nitto 2.8 crank and pistons at paul's...they looked pretty smick.
  7. ^^^yep, that newcastle night life for you hope your mates alright
  8. lol stop whingin...it was 45deg at work last week...so technically i'm bring the cool weather...
  9. Finish work in about an hour, then i'm on my way east :-)
  10. You can never have enough Bishes!!!
  11. yeah...saw your dodgy balancer...lucky you saw it before your crank nose wore out. No major updates for me. Car's got a massive oil leak from one of the new braided lines and i haven't had time to sort it. Parts wise, i'm hoping to pick up my front pipes, rocker covers and cat from Paul while i'm over east and get them installed while i fix the leak. Then it's going back to the tuners for more BOOOOOOOOST!!!!!! .
  12. hahaha epic! DO IT! DO IT!! DO IT!!!
  13. Man, i know so many chicks that live at 123 fake st....
  14. That's not good it's been like a 1000 posts since the last F&F quote...it had to be done
  15. Now you just need some NOS....two of the big ones
  16. ...waits for informal cruise to be cancelled. lol just kiddin Benji Hows the S15 going?
  17. Fair enough. I just assume eveyone is as lazy as i am and would rather the ECU sort the mixture %, rather then me doing it in my garage. Can you recommanded an E85 supplier in Perth?
  18. 4kms - pushbike?
  19. Exactly what i was trying to say!!! Happy Birthday Ant
  20. Yep - sounds pretty stupid. Drive the N/A around till you're off your P's.
  21. Totally incorrect benji. No extra stress is put on the driveline at all - what your getting confused with is that a clutch is designed to fail before the driveline parts approach there operational limit...so to much power and a good clutch can cause issues for diffs etc. The r34 Gtr drive line can take 1000hp with little modification, so Adam should be right no matter what he chooses.
  22. Looking good matt. How many Ls is the surge tank?
