  1. notice any difference between ecu's, mark? (can't view the vid sorry)
  2. Gtr arrived in Perth today...minus a power steering belt and a working battery.
  3. Definatly an ECU.... possibly injectors, MAFs & a EBC. cams/gears and fuel set-up will be fine
  4. what series r34gtr? v-spec or standard? and why are you wrecking? I'm after the front prop shaft and cooling fan. Must be perfect condition.
  5. This^^^. but if you buy 2nd hand n1 turbos, make sure they are ball bearing.
  6. ha and i thought i was bored at work lol
  7. His not being a dick. He's like 99% of the people on this forum that don't want to waste there time answering stupid f*k'n questions that 30secs with google would have provided the answers.
  8. Yep - I've been saying for a while i rekon it would be possible to crack 400awkw with E85 with 9's. Someones 34nur in melburne made 379awkw with 7's (stock n1's) and E85 recently.
  9. Stock injectors are 10.5mm dia, ID's with adapters are 11mm dia. Although they are abit tight, as Daniel pointed out they do fit :-)
  10. Good stuff - that means all three of us a runing platniums.
  11. I'm not 100% sure but i believe the exhaust housing is slightly different design on the -9 too. -7's = r34 n1 turbos -9's ARE HKS GTSS turbos The graphs i looked at when researching turbos showed <150rpm difference between the two (-9's been slightly worse), but the -9's usually had the better top end (10-15kw's), however this is highly dependent on supporting mods and i couldn't find any back to back comparisons (who's going to waste 2.5k to go from 7's to 9's unless the've blown a turbo) TBH throw 20-24psi through either of them and your going to be making ~330awkw and absolutly exstatic. You can't really be disappointed with that.
  12. it's probarly jay's new one. i forget his user name, but he's on here sometimes.
  13. I've never seen -7's cheaper then -9's....but just done a quick google...and it looks like the price of -9's have droped off signifcantly. Just don't give them any extra money for the -7's. you paid for 9's, so your doing them a favour if your taking 7's. what ECU are you going to run?
  14. Sounds dodge. hope you got some money back.
  15. Yes, it is possible to buy a cheap turbo. No one is disputing that. It's the other costs associated with correctly running the turbo without the engine going bang that turn it into an expensive excercise. (tune, ecu, injectors, labor etc)
  16. I've just had a quick browse - very interesting papaer. The 20% better fuel consupltion of the E85 at the higher comp was a bit of a suprise - i expected a little , but not that much. It would be interesting to get hold of someones flex tune for E50/E85 and see exactly what has changed - i.e.fuel consumption, power/torque difference etc.
  17. Wish i had a $165k.
  18. I wouldn't mind getting hold of the template if you can get one done aswell. You can't even make out the ARC letters on my cooler. Also, just out of interest - have you got your bov's plumed back with this set-up and what intake set-up are you running? (stock box/pods/arc box etc)
  19. +1...depending on the condition of the paint work (MNP paint=$$$$) and whether the car is held together by rust.
  20. no. 168/180 MP3 Chassis: BNR34 006724 Model code: GGJPRWYR34ZDA1BK-D produced: 04/2000 Type: GTR/V interesting little site i came accross when i googled the chassis number...has all the MP3 vins. http://www.midnightpurple3.com/HP/R34GTR/MEMO.html
