  1. Yep born and breed from SA!! Moved over to Sydney about 2 years ago for something different and still loving it. I know what adeliade is like
  2. I will take some pics tonite and post up for you..That's a nice can you got there from Darren how much oil can it hold? Mine isn't as high tech or as pretty as that Do people that have catch cans on there car and use them for street use only get alot in there? How regulary do you check them? Morning Gosh going to be weird being back in Adelaide on weekend, been atleast a year I reckon, forgotten what the place looks like
  3. haha Old Skool is cool! Yep they are agressive your right so need to be set up correctly and wanting big power before you go for that style I reckon.. I use a two catch can system with overfilled oil by a litre and half (still do this even tho I have baffled the sump). I use the just jap enclosed catch can mounted on top of my head and then the breathers going to another catch can that sits near the air filters which goes to atesmophere. Mine did used to spew oil out oil even with the restrictor in when I pushed it hard around the track after about 4 laps. So we went to this system and has been great ever since, dont have any extra pressure from what I know of cause basically it's just circularting. But I dont have any oil problem's when using it for street use only on the track. Most GTR's that I have come across that push the car hard and only have atemospheric catch cans will fill them up and spew out oil. Can I ask what you mean by hidden breathers? dumping to the ground?
  4. Maybe if I say " I am gona kick all the boyz arses at karts" That will make them come just to beat me!! If they do "beat" me there will be a Caromelo Koala in it for ya!!
  5. Sled has the right idea!! A good balanced crank/engine will do wonders, a good quality oil pressure gauge will help alot and really a N1 oil pump is just a little stronger..but like Sled said there is always a cause for something like a oil pump failing i.e sitting on the limiter for a long time is a big killer! Loose bolts can also cause damage over a period of time so make sure you check regularly - crank bolt! But then again these are on race cars, dont think it would be a huge problem on street cars! Fish, Can I just say I use my GTR for a track car and I push it really hard, run around 300kw all day long, I only have a standard oil pump and did have the engine out a month ago to check everything and it looks amazing inside! All I have done is put the oil restrictor in, sump baffled it and put a really good catch can system on which will eventually run back to the sump when I go to my next stage of modifying which will be in another month or so! But can understand you wanting peice of mind and I do think the N1 pumps are good. I think Tomei is better then Jun oil pump aswell and they pump higher volumes.
  6. Yep he did really well, was good off the line too They didn't put my third/last run down on results which was a 32.96, I got given the post it note when I finished my run Thanks David, Had an awesome time for my first hillclimb and for being in top 20!! Will be coming back to the mountain next chance I get!!
  7. Yeah its been awhile!! I will be town next weekend..Coming Go Karting?? Check this thread out, it's a good read http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fa...;hl=N1+oil+pump Your standard oil pump is rated up to around 330kws and N1 up to around 370kws. I still run my standard pump (has funky jap internals) and it's in great nick and I wouldnt have a clue how longs its been on there for, so you might not need to replace until you have had it out, but doing the crank collar is a very good idea!
  8. Fish, Whats the modification to the sump they are refering to..If your going to upgrade oil pump you should do the crank collar as well if it's not done already! I think the big thing with all RB oil "issues" is you need sump baffle them, put oil restrictor in the head and a good catch can system that drains back to the sump...
  9. Yeah the grey R32 was GTSt that guy was telling me all sorts "it can go off the clock, I've had it to 360km's per hour". I was a bit like Pretty sure I was the only GTR there! Aww there webpage isnt working for me...
  10. OMG sif I don't know about this!! Bring on teh 17th!!!
  11. Omg! Aww that link doesnt work Will check there website its offline atm
  12. Shannons National??? Details?!?!
  13. The main thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself you will have the best time out there Take the morning to get used to the track and your braking points, Don't go out hell for leather.. By the afternoon you will be more confident and usually your times lessen with that confidence Try and chase a faster car as that always help me go that little bit quicker. Watch you're temps in the car like the other guys are saying and have cool down laps on the track or a lap of the pits after you come off. If your using semi slicks they will tell you usually when they have had enough as don't grip so well after 5 laps or so ( Yokohama A048's do this to me after 5 laps) and become greasy that the best time to cool it down a little.. Best of Luck I'm sure you will have a ball!
  14. Still not gettimg emails
  15. Who's entering Classic Adelaide to reprezent SAU?? (The entry price is pretty good too half the price of a dutton rally *Starts thinking for next year* ) Awesome idea Dan - Me and Shaun (Evil34) used to go to a mates place to watch every year, great fun and loads of action and the throwing of beer cake! *memories* But now I live in Sydney..I know one of the revolution race gear guys over here is entering in his RX7!!
  16. Oh I would love to come down and try this, maybe the next one as I have a supersprint on the same day at OP I am addicted now after Bathurst!
  17. Has anyone heard from this guy? Want to know if Carbon Fibre Bonnet still for sale!!
  18. Useless motorsport is there such a thing! I am hoping to do it in November if my sponsor comes through..going to be a rookie so will be an experience for me..
  19. I have written a email to the minister this morning and will await his response to see if a petition is a good plan, the only problem with a petition is and I agree with Adam is we would need "thousands" of signatures Would need help from IT guys to set up online petition.. I reckon! That would be the best! That's why I did the hillclimb on weekend just so I could experience Mt Panorama!
  20. I wrote an email to the radio station stating that the $30milion spent on a new street circuit would be better put to use replacing Oran Park or injecting funds into Eastern Creek and Wakefield park, or event making Mt Panorama more affordable to use for car clubs! This has been passed on to the people that want to hear opiouns I am not totally against the street circuit but cant understand why they would choose that option which will upset a lot of people and residence's and is crap for spectatotrs than building a brand new race track for all to use!! Why do us little guys have to get forgotten about when we help keep motorsport alive with using the race tracks every weekend! If we could get all the car clubs together to sign a petition online and tell the government our views and to say build us a brand new track to replace Oran Park or put the funds to better use and upgrade the other two standing race tracks! We use the forum I know I am a member of 5 or more forums We need to write to the Minister of state development - The Hon. Ian Macdonald, BA(Hons) MLC
  21. Yep I have been doing most of them this year, I'm also secretary for SSCC this year Been going great I get better and faster everytime I go out, Should enter the OPGP on 17th August!!!!
