  5. Hi guys I'm after some help I also posted a topic z32 afms but no replies yet. Today I tested voltage on both afms as suggested by nistune but they both seem to be the same. If I keep it revving it does run but let it off and it dies. It puffing heaps of black smoke from running too rich does anyone have any ideas? What else could it be? Injector ? Cas? It doesn't seem to me missing just running crap please help guys

  7. Hi guys just a quick one I'm fixing my Mates 32 Gtr that when he was driving it started losing power then stalled. Dis connected afm s and it ran but badly as expected just enough to get it on trailer. While running if I re connect either of the z32 it stalls and when started again won't rev under load or above 2.5k stationary. It has fuel pressure at the rail and the pump and I pressure tested inlet track with no leaks found or heard. Is there a way to test afms? Would it be possible that both fail? They are genuine Bosch units and were brand new and have done dyno and drag strip work only Max 5000ks. I was thinking maybe a mouse chewed a wire as the car sits for long periods but cant see any also this happened after re fueling. It's running nistune ecu and we have battery also dis connected for long periods is it possible for settings to change once the nistune has been set up? As in revert to stock afm setting? Scott
  8. The dash light is easy, u have the wrong bulb in the wrong place as in as in a single element instead of double I've seen it before, in terms of the engine issue have u removed fuel pump? Sometimes there can be an intermittent issue with the wiring degrading. Also have u done compression test ? Low compression engines can be hard to start when hot also. Good luck Scott

  11. It's pretty much the same as any car first off, check for smoke, blow by , and rust and body condition etc, there are many topics and FAQ about skyline specific issues or problems to look for, if I were u look here on the forum the right car will turn up for sure Scott
  12. After changing bearings I just do a few hundred K's and watched oil pressure behavior then it went to dyno, even though there is no metal contact it's just good practice to make sure there are no issues.
  13. Yes wet only on number 6 though and there was no difference at all, if it's valves wouldn't it run badly though? Thanks for all the input guys I appreciate it.

  15. I assume there is special equiptment needed for leak down test? So more likely valves than rings?
  16. Plugs are even and perfect, radiator green no oil andoil cap perfect too
