Hi guys I have done some searching but cant find the answer, I was wondering the theory behind adjustable waste gates (internal) and how to set them up and if a boost controller is required or will they hold required boost level on their own? The turbos are nismo rs580 with nismo actuators. Sorry in advance for such a vague question.

The way I do it is drain all fluids when engine warm, pull it out and fill with running in oil or a cheap engine oil, put plastic bags over intake plenum and turbo dump pipes and coolant openings with elastic bands to keep them on. And every few months rotate engine by hand just to keep it all moving.

Hey guys they turned up yesterday still no contact from the bloke... I know he paid nothing for them but i was going to get the manifolds and gaskets cheap which made them a good deal, I hadnt paid for those until i got the turbos lucky i guess because now i can get hold of him.

Hi guys i recently purchased a set of rs580 turbos and wanted to know what the normal amount of shaft play is? I checked on the forum and garret site which says .56mm is normal and u can move it with fingers, now ive checked the housings and there is no contact on there and with as much pressure as i can apply by hand the rotor still doesnt touch so what do you guys think?

I have started the ball rolling on it tonight but it sucks cause I wanted the turbos and the manifolds but oh well I guess at least paypal should refund it if they dont turn up...it sucks when people wont reply maybe there a good reason but he should at least have responded to texts u would think.

does anyone know how to contact this guy, I purchased turbos on ebay more than two weeks ago and havent got them, I have called, sms'd, emailed and havnt heard from him any help is appreciated.

thanks guys did the sensor swap was pretty easy job havent tested it yet (engine in pieces) but i am sure it will be ok, thanks again for all the help this forum rocks.
