  1. Hi guys i have tried to run the diagnotic mode but it wont let me do it? I recently changed my turbos and had the ecu upgraded to nistune and now the steering is heavy and the hicas light is on which it has never done before, i swapped to a mates ecu but still has the same problem any ideas? Scott

  4. I am using nistune I guess I could drill and tap the new dumps to accept the bung from the stock dumps? Scott

Hi guys I have searched under o2 sensor mod and r32 gtr dump pipe and cant find the answer, I am installing some hks dumps I got from here onto my new turbos and have found the 32 o2 sensor is too small, so I understand just jap sell a suitable plug (who i will call tomorrow) but looking at it the sensor protrusion would not be far enough? How does everyone go about doing this? I was thinking I could grind and file half the bungs on the hks dumps to allow further reach or get r33 o2 sensors or just get the correct dumps? Scott

So I ended up getting splitfires for $570 regapped the copper plugs to 1.0mm changed the fuel pump and redid timing which was only 15degrees, feels smoother and there is no miss and on part throttle is less rough and doesn't pop anymore when I back off so hopefully that's problem solved , thanks guys for all the input much appreciated Scott zil13r
  11. So here's another question after reading the coilpack thread I'm still not sure, should I buy yellow jackets at $390 or splitfire di at roughly $600? I don't mind spending the money if they are better but the two year warrantee from yj is appealing
  12. That's good to know guys I have installed the plugs and will see how the coils go I guess but I am happy to replace them if need be, that would be why most of the search's I did pulled up rb25's I don't feel quite so useless now!

Hi guys u have spent a few hours searching but most if the info I have come accross is for gtst and the like, anyway I have a 32 gtr with tbe, pods, and profec b, during tuning on the street u have never had this issue but at wsid this week on my second pass I noticed a miss developing then would clear at around 5500 rpm, third pass was worse so I didn't do anymore runs, on the way home I switched to low boost and it's fine but at high boost 14.3 psi it misses? Now aren't they supposed to run 14.7 with restrictor removed? It was very cold at wsid but seems strange to not have done it before, i hadn't heard of r & r before but during searching missire relates posts I came accross it and some people saying over 10psi can trigger it? I have removed coils and am replacing plugs with copper capped at .8 and replacing fuel pump and filter just in case but there are no visible issues with the coils and that brings me to another question in terms of taping or siliconing coils all the pics are of gtst coils so how do u do it on a gtr? Do I fill the gap around the coil an it's little metal frame with silicon or is there another way? Sorry to bring up such and old issue but believe me I have searched since Wednesday night in this issue, Scott

  16. U need both of them some people in your situation have been lucky and can use one of an old oil filter but it depends on the sandwich plate In the end.
  17. i hooked it up to the old waste gate supply line and it works well and looks stock which is a plus, cant believe how much better it goes even on low setting! scott
  18. sorry to bring up an old thread but it there an easier way of tapping the boost pressure? i have seen a pic else where where they hooked the no port on the solonoid to the old wastegate supply tube will this work? as we all know there is bugger all room under the plenum and is really only being done by feel I would prefer to keep the hosing to a minimum, I have already teed the wastgates togther is just the pressure source thats the issue, any help is appreciated.
