  1. Not me, i'm out by the Airport in Tulla' Don't venture to that side of the city that much
  2. Spotted an oncoming M35 near nicholson, headed towards lakes entrance. It was dark blue with HID's, same as mine. It was like driving into mirror
  3. I'm in Tullamarine, and can help you with getting the engine light codes Check the code(s) before changing bits
  4. I haven't played in that menu, the book doens't mention it either I'll have to investigate it and see if it actual changes anything
  5. I got this OBD2/consult memoscan N607 tool a while ago, Still not that cheap but I can confirm this one does work on NM35 2001 Stagea (VQ25DET) it can read/clear error codes for the engine and srs system (i haven't tested it on the Srs system as i have 8 airbags and aint messing with the system if it's not complaining) and it has the description for the code no's built in, it also gives lots of different sensor readings This just makes it a bit simpler for playing with the codes and diagnostics, not for a incar install like an infometer or the like I got it from here http://www.dealextre...ar-1-6f22-47139 that pricing is USD, can be found a litle cheaper around thou the main menu list - options/readings are Worksupport - Fuel Pressure Release / Idle Air Learn / Target Ign Tim Adjust / Target Idle rpm Adjust Engine - Read Trouble code / clear trouble code / data monitor / active test / ecu part number A/T - (cannot comunicate) ABS - FR RH sensor Km/h / FR RH OUT sol / FR RH IN sol (also for FR LH,RR RH, RR LH) / Stop lamp sw / motor relay / actuator relay Airbag - Read Current DTC / Read Past DTC / trouble diag record ecu discriminated No. BCM - (cannot comunicate) The Stuff in the data monitor section is Coolant Temp Vehicle speed sensor battery voltage int/a temp se ign timing turbo bst sensor purge vol c/v HO2S1 (b1) A/F ALPHA-B1 Corrected Ign tim Corrected idle RPM Int/v Tim (b1) Eng speed Mas A/F SE-B1 Inj pulse-B1 B/Fuel schdl Accel sen 1 Accel sen 2 thrtl sen 1 thrtl sen 2 AC Press sen TK-MM-VTCDTY1B1 TK-MM-VTCDTY1B2 Load Signal aircond signal PW/ST signal P/N Posi SW Start Signal CLSD THL Pos HO2S1 Mntr Ignition Sw (b1) Heater Fan Sw Idl a/v learn Brake Sw Aircond rly fuel pump rly FPCM W/G SOL/V-B1 HO2S1 HTR (b1) Can Circ 5 Can Circ 4 Can Circ 3 Can Circ 2 Can Circ 1 Can Comm Some of it means nothing to me, some of it useful, my cars mil light came on, so i plugged it in and the code came up as "PO0345 - CM P sen/circ B2" = P0345 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit (Bank 1) on iamhe77's list. So the fault description is brief but there (still had to lookup the list) Cleared the code easily, not that cheap but better that doing the ignition/Accelator pedal sequence
  6. OK I'll make it 12, thats a go
  7. U thinking of these figures or something different you saw?
  8. I has the same issue with the english conversion - the Dvdrom wouldn't work. Tried the Laser cleaner discs but it didn't help, i even added thick velcro on the cleaner disc so i could here it scrapping the lens, hey couldn't break it much more and it only needs to be able to run the conversion once... but to no avial I didn't want to pay for a replacment dvdrom either, so next step i pulled the dvdrom out (noone was stealing that with how well its mounted in there) and took the caseing off so i could physically rub the laser lens with a cotton bud and metho, but even that idea was working against me as even with the cover off it's still a pretty enclosed unit, but there was a little little little hole where i could get access to the lens (only with trimming the cotton bud down a little to fit it in the hole) Anyway point of the story..... It Worked!! I was able to get the langunge conversion without having to buying a new Rom
  9. Did my oil+filter change today And gave the car a polish, ready to the vic cruise last weekend i finally got round to put on the Whiteline swaybars i got back in the group buy Sensational Improvment - far exceeding my expectations, would have done it a lot sooner if i knew there was that much difference
  10. I'll be There, meet at monash been meaning to let you know earlier, but just been to lazy to log in and post
  11. I was recently in country NSW and couldn't get the BP Ultimate 98 Ron (what i normally run on) or any other brand 98 Ron fuel So had to go the standard Premium 95 Ron for couple of tanks Didn't have any issues on it other than i could feel a bit of loss in my accelation power and my engine didn't have as much of the throaty growl from the air intake on acceleration (Air filter inspection cover removed) Even with the very limited Fuel staions there was still the option for the Standard Premium 95 if i didn't have that option would have definately been using the octance booster
  12. Spotted this one in the Adelaide News http://www.abc.net.a...news&date=(none) Apparently the prefered choice of Getaway car, it was used in an armed robbery The news only knows it as a "Silver Nissan" guess it confuses people otherwise Belong to anyone on here?
  13. Went for a 3200km Drive on the Easter Break with the old folks, So gave the car a pretty good test Melb->Eden, mostly Highway and some hills = 9.1L per 100km on 98 Eden->Hay, Up & Down the Snowy mountians & Highway = 10.5L per 100km on 95 Hay->Adelaide, all flat Highway = 9.5L per 100km on 95 Adelaide->Melb, fully loaded with heayy crap = 9.7L per 100km on 98 Quite happy with the results, especially the mountian pass thought i would have burned a lot more fuel on that Normally round town i'm anywhere from 11.8-16.9L depending on my mood, have a tendancy to enjoy burning fuel for no good reason only to get to the next set of lights Best i've done so far is 8.6L down to Queenscliff (just me and work tools) Did notice that the Fuel light had 10L in the tank on the highway driving, but normally has 15L left on the heavy right foot driving Maybe its linked in with the trip computer data aswell as liquid level, could explain why people notice the Gauge level fluctuate a bit
  14. You've done a great job on the pricing, well done I'll be up for a Full set sent to melbourne Pm Sent
  15. On my nm35, the interior light only operates from the door switch if the key is still in the ignition as long as the light swtich is in the middle, it operates when unlocking the doors from the Remote control and then switches off when the ignition is turned to ON and when exiting the car, it turns on when the key is removed from the ignition and off upon locking the car with the remote. But if the Key is out of the ignition the door switch does not control the interior light
  16. Yeah the Cabin filter i got was one of the ebay ones, Charcoal Carbon Filters US$24.83 shipped to OZ http://cgi.ebay.com/...RK%3AMEWAX%3AIT In my head the Fuse boxes are" 1, Driver Footwell Kick Panel 2. The Rectangle Box in front off the battery (Maybe more of a Relay box but theres fuses in there) 3. The box behind the battery on the firewall under the wiper trim, this is the one i didn't reliaze was there (which is probaly considered the main one)
  17. Had the car since end of Jan and this weekends been the first chance i've got to play on the car, only small stuff thou 1. replaced Cabin Filter 2. installed the Fm band expander (cardealer said they were going to put this in but didn't) 3. Pulled the DVD Rom out and Opened it up to physically clean the laser. Put i back in and now it works so i can finally have the english conversion done (couldn't read the disc first time) 4, Installed a Reverse camera to the factory tuner, not essential but i figure if you have a Screen on the dash it might as well have a camera Interior was in many pieces, but all when back together fine with only a couple of spare clips left over. I did aciddently short the reverse light fuse and couldn't find the fuse to replace it. wasn't to concerned and was going to sort it out later, until i tried to start the car and found out that it won't start without it anyway searched the forum and learnt about the 3rd Fuse box hidden behind the battery on the firewall, so alls good again i always thought the 2 fuse boxes i knew of didn't have enough to cover all the elec systems in the car and It amazes me how they decided what areas of the Stagea needed to have English text and Japanese text on the other bits
