do you know how to get the fault code from your computer ?

that car was at the last track day , racing in the circuit laps .

ok , Brake clean was not a good choice for cleaning your afm mate, its a sensor that measures the amount of air rushing past it thus turning that into a voltage to send a signal to the computer to tell the engine how much air its getting. SO , if you have damaged it by cleaning it then the signal could be wrong , thus telling the computer the wrong info, so the computer adjusts naturally and so now its prolly got the wrong info for starting and when it idles its really rich as the computer has no idea how much air its really getting. do you have a r32 gtr or what ? cause you should have 2 x air flow meters. if its a 32 gtst only one ? i believe this is prolly your problem and i maybe able to source a second hand one to test if thats the cause, otherwise dude you are looking anything up to $700 for new ones , im not sure tho will get back to you. dont know anyone sorry with that cable, however what computer are you using ? Have you done anything else that may effect timing , like cams , pulleys or belt change etc . sounds to me like a timing issue , if it only starts sometimes and blows lots of Black smoke when it does. seems like there is more to the story ? why did the engine light suddenly start appearing , did you change something else on the car , or unplug something and forget to refit it . need more info dude to help out , cause otherwise im guessing your symtom. if you want me to have a looksee for you give me p.m cheers Ron

so the pink & black soleniod wiring is wired into the factory soleniod loom green & blue/white wires ? is this correct ? is the z32 afm from the vg30 engine, so what voltage value do i use ? Also ive got 555cc nismo injectors, what value do i need to use in the injector value menu ?

Yes thats right, the first Off Street Drags Racing night is on the 31st March 2006. So finish of those mods, put the car back together and get your backside down to hidden valley. I'll update with timings and cost's as they become available.

you said you fitted a bigger turbo , did you also fit a new dump pipe? if so is the o2 sensor in the new pipe, it may also be damaged or blocked, even not plugged in. check all that also. I had a similar issue but with everything stock - replaced the o2 sensor and hey bingo , no more stalling.

hope you dont plan on driving that when it rains...... cause where you have your pod filter, it'll suck heaps of water in down that low to the ground.

Well for those interested , i found the perfect tool on thursday to drill holes in the exhaust manifold studs that were broken off so i could get the screw extractors in to remove the studs. Anyway it cost a little bit for the tools etc etc but well worth it to not have to remove the head just to remove one stud. The project is well underway with only a few more parts still in transit (frieght is so shit here) and the Whale will be back on the road again.

have you checked the actuator for leaks and the actuator lever isnt sticking or hitting anything? You also havent told us what your stock or actual boost level is? 9psi - 10psi ? Are you sure you have the right hose hooked up on the actuator . Remember there is two hoses from the stock solenoid and they need to be around the right way. just some suggestions, hope you sort it out mate. ron

can anyone tell me the specs on this turbo part no: 714569-5002 like is it the gt30/40 ?

This month is on the 25th starting at about 5.30pm. Cost about $15 dollars (2 ball trays/golf bat/drink) Bbq maybe a few dollars extra ???? Bring yourself, your humour, your golf bats, and the missus and fun will be had by all. hey efteoh, jay told me something about you reckon its easyer to remove the head to get the No.6 exhaust manifold studs out. Sounds like a lot of hard work and dollars. Is there anything else you can recommend to remove them. and getting standard ones from say nissan etc should be fine yeah as a replacement ?

Who owns the data logic system , and can it tune better than by the hand controler ?
