  1. Dyno operator is too busy. Don't trust anybody in Newcastle to touch it.
  2. Any moisture coming from the breather?
  3. Im very impressed with it so far, driveability is great, looks are deceiving. Its near impossible to tell what it is exactly from the outside without taking it apart to measure everything up. The quality of these turbos are amazing, up there with kkk. so durability is not an issue. Ive seen plenty of garrets fail early or be supplied with manufacturing flaws from reputable shops.
  4. Buys a $50,000 car. Skimps on arguably the most important part of it. Wut? Haha I've sunk probably $100k into the car but. I bet my whole hot side cost less than your sunglasses.
  5. The key word there is "usually". Not always.
  6. Bosch that was meant to say sorry.
  7. Sometimes, depending on application. The turbo I just took off was using a turbine housing from an underground mining vehicle with a water jacket as the temp must be kept under 100c whilst underground. I cut the whole jacket off the housing. I used it on a gq patrol petrol for 12 months then on the gtr for 18 months on 21psi. I have a dyno graph of that somewhere. I think people can be narrow minded at times re what can and can't be done, or are too scared to give it a go.
  8. No it doesn't bang on anything.
  9. A turbo doesn't know whether it is on a petrol or diesel engine. If the shoe fits, wear it.
  10. Have u got pics or info on botch ones?
  11. This is the car it's on if anyone is interested.
  12. Can someone add up the cost of the normal 6 boost manifold, external gate, precision / garrett etc path for comparison sake $$$ wise? Just curious to see what people spend.
  13. Wasted spark is not as good as coil on plug. It still works, I've been playing with mitsubishi for years. I'm currently looking at an alternative for a vh45 that needs
  14. Next job will be to make a decent manifold for and see what difference that makes.
  15. They are Borg Warner turbos with cat housings, this one is internal wastegate which is another reason I put it on .
  16. The whole lot cost me under $200. That's why.
  17. Just finished swapping an 83/74 with a bigger caterpillar turbo, it was a bit of work considering the physical size of it. I put up a pic of it next to an rb25 stock turbo for an idea. It makes 8psi at 3500, how does that seem? Still need to finish it off and sort a few things out but so far so good.
  18. that's more than likely done by precicios turbo in Wetherill Park, A 3071 made to fit the rb housing. Ive used the same thing on a Mitsubishi years ago
  19. Hi I'm after info on the following wheel sizes on a turbo I have. Compressor ind 53mm end 69mm Turbine 65mm ind 49mm exd. From what I can find the compressor is the same size as a Sierra and 20g. However I can't find any turbines in similar sizes. Any clues out there?
  20. Hi I have a good full loom from r33 turbo manual. Pm me an offer
  21. see above
  22. do yourself a favour and get a cigweld transmig, or any inverter type with 5kg spool. BOC have a good one. Around $900 to $1100. Get a euro torch with flexi head.
