  1. Sorry 4 not rocking up guys, I fell asleep.. C U all next time..
  2. Hey Everyone, Meeting up at Goulburn sounds like a great start. Work permitting, i'll be staying in Canberra overnight and returning 2 Sydney the next day. Have we decided on a date yet? Shell, Just B sure not 2 bring up the homemade videos 8O ...LOL
  3. Hey guys, I'm also sick of mechanics and others who dont give a s**t about us . There will be bad Karma coming back 2 those who took my car around the block for "testing" and later discovering scratches on my front bar and rubber in the rear arches. Remember guys, always double check your car. I for 1 will be sitting in the car the next time i take my car 2 the mechanincs. I'll be doing most of the work with myself and a few mates where possible from now on. Trust no one
  4. Nic, Keen 2 see the seat. will make arrangements next time we meet up.
  5. I should be free a bit later on. contactable on 0401 676 032
  6. Hey again steve, Suspension kits, coilovers, shocks and front strut tower braces are definately the same. Rear shocks are also same between 2 and 4 door. Just design of rear shock assembly differs, hence no rear strut tower brace needed. Exhaust system looks identical between the 2 but I purchased the car with turbo back 3"freeflow exhaust so not 100% sure. BTW, the diff housing differs slightly between R33 Auto and manual. I'm having trouble putting my 4.11 ( thought it was 3.9 but it was 4.11)from a manual non ABS R33 2 door into a Auto R33 4 door with ABS. I'll have 2 wait until the manual conversion happens before i can install this diff centre. The ABS sensors R giving us a headache....back 2 the drawing board. Its turning out 2 be 1 big learning process 8O
  7. Thanks for the Re-assurance Jay...its a small price 2 pay for the handling improvement coilovers give. R U planning to go to the future Canberra/ Sydney joint cruise? Looking forward 2 meeting up with U and the canberra crew
  8. Just a wild idea, but would anyone be interested in cruising down 2 canberra, staying overnight at a $50 motel, stocking up on P**n and fireworks, then meeting up with the Canberra crew? Heaps of good places down there 2 cruise ( Hyper D, ,telstra tower , Belconnen, mitchell etc). Does anyone know if the Go Karting centre is still there in Mitchell? Maybe we could organise a friendly Sydney vs Canberra celebrity skyline Go Kart race
  9. Jimbo, I got the handling Pack ( Sway bars, suspension bushes, adj s=castor and camber etc). I made the mistake of letting them install the kit. I'll tell you all the details when we meet up on the next cruise. Get your mechanic U trust 2 install Ur suspension and get a wheel alignment. I wanted my car 2 handle like Schumachers Ferrarri, with softer rear settings for 0 -400 m launches. The front is extra firm with a triangular strut brace for added torsional rigidity. It took me around 6 months of homework to decide on a package and setup. . Best of luck with Ur choice... and remenber...ask around
  10. Dont know about GAB shocks but whiteline handling pack will make a big difference 2 your car. their parts are good, but I would recommend that U not let them touch your car. They are a bunch of................ If U can wait and install a good set of coilovers ( height and damper adj) combined with a handling pack ( swaybar, adj camber, castor, suspension bushes etc). Your car will handle better than a Go Kart. I had my suspension done last week and it feels as if there is glue on my tyres I still cant stop grinning. BTW: good luck with your setup, and keep us posted.
  11. Always room 4 one more Glad 2 have U with us.
  12. O.K guys heres my take on drifting... sorry Do ri fu to Back in 1994, I was living in Kobe Japan on a working holiday with my Relatives. I was working at a 5 star hotel and made many friends while there. Most of them were car nuts like ourselves and their cars included 91 R32 GTR, S13 silvia, Trueno and R32 Gtst. Most young people under 25 in Japan dont drive around in new cars and drive Modded chu- sha ( second hand cars) A friend of a friend showed us of drifting action from Osaka on Video and they would try to copy their moves in their cars. Its basicaly a fad that someone started and everyone has copied. Yeah its fun, hard on Ur car and a good way 2 chew up Ur tyres. Its like rallying on tarmac. Personally, i'd enjoy drifting using someone elses car
  13. Hey Guys, We all know that mechanically that 2 door and 4 door skylines are basically the same right? When installing my suspension, I discovered that a rear Strut Brace off a 2 door wont fit a 4 door variant. Please post here any other minor differences U have discovered between a 2 and 4 door....
  14. By By, SKYLINES REPRESENT! Glad 2 hear that you guys here are Showing the Sh***** riceboy fast and furious wannabes whats up when provoked. Should B up for a cruise on SAT night if car is ready. My suspension is in ( minus control arm bushes) and NISMO mechanical Diff centre should B in by then.......I'll be itching 2 take the car out for a quick squirt... Mona Vale and Powderworks Rd is my cars playground Dont have ICQ or messenger 2 my knowledge, but i'll PM my mobile # so U can SMS me on SAT..... Hope 2 catch up with everyone then
  15. Does anyone with coilovers have a slight metallic knocking sound when negotiating bumps in the road etc? Also in need of Upper control arm suspension bushes. Anyone know who sells them ( anywhere except whiteline) ?
  16. Its kinda funny when kids in their riced up little s**tboxes wanna race. They will risk loss of licence and huge fines 2 race on the street, but dont have the guts 2 race against real Hi Performance cars at Eastern Creek Off Street Drags. they are all try hard wanna - bees and are just jealous of your car. It s usually best 2 ignore them, unless U really wanna teach them a lesson
  17. Hows the R33 4 door shopping going? I dont know how things are in Melbourne , but its a buyers market here in sydney. R there many 4 doors 4 sale in Melbourne?
  18. Looks like a rich mans MR2 My Fav ferraris R 250 GT California ( as seen in Ferris Buellers Day off) and a 1989 Red Testarossa spider....Ahh..its all just alotto win away.
  19. Meggala, Japanese writing has 3 different alphabets.. (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji). Engish - Japanese words..eg: Intercooler etc is usually written in the Katakana script. Its a phonetic alphabet so there are about 30 or so letters to memorise. Any Japanese Language textbook should have a table of the higagana and katakana alphabets, meaning you can translate some of the text yourself.. For example intercooler will come out as Intakoola.. Brake will come out as Bureki etc.. Kanji ( chinese characters) is what F***s me and most students up. For example it took my mum and I 20 minutes to read 1 page of the HKS Japan website.( pissed her off bigtime to stop and explain certain words 2 me) Steve, some Young Japanese people living in Melbourne would gladly translate Japanese text into english in return for english lessons. Nichigo press or Japanese-english newspapers should put you in touch with the right people. BTW the nismo catalogue is trick ( heaps of pictures too
  20. Glad 2 know I'm not the only one here with a R33 4 Door Slammer. A word of warning though. Cops will pay less attention 2 U and U'll B the envy of Family men and women everywhere U go .
  21. I'm going on Saturday. Taking Video Camera and leaving Girlfriend at Chatswood Chase.....I'll be a single again with nothing but trick cars and chicks...SWEEEET!
  22. My R33 4 door is the latest evolution in Nissan cars. 1st car was a datsun 1600, Datsun Stanza, Honda s600( I know, but it was so cute),Datsun 1967 Fairlady 2000 High Screen sports convertible ( looks like MGB only much nicer), datsun 120Y and now Skyline R33. Dont have to coerse the car 2 start each morning
  23. Hey everyone, saw the best bumper sticker 2day. it read CAUTION! I DRIVE LIKE YOU DO Best 1 i've seen in ages.Dyin 2 get a hold of 1
  24. Does anyone know if PULP ( all brands ) start 2 go off after a week or so.I've tried all 3 brands and am tossing up between BP ultimate and Optimax. What do you reckon guys?
  25. Sounds like a good car dude. They are easier 2 drive than skylines, especially in wet weather.I was thinking of buying a REX, but didnt want the w**ker image assosiated with being a WRX driver
