^^^ I was trying to think what that crap reminded me of... That's it! Toilet mat! Fkn lol!
-
Your just trying to wind people up Go pink!
-
It aint plastic you are polishing... Its paint. Normal clear coat cut/polish. After your base, 3 or 4 nice wet layers of clear, wait a few days, hit it with some 2000 to remove bumps, then any type of car polish to remove scratches. don't spray the clear too lightly or you will have your "sealed matt finish" good luck... clear coat is tricky... make sure the humidity is low

No worries. Don't know how bad, spread out the stain is but if its all over, you could hire a carpet cleaner with the upholstery attatchment if its everywhere? My car had blotches all over the place so I took out the seats and trim and went nuts. Looks brand new. should have seen the slime that came out! BigW should stock meguiars cloth and trim cleaner, and i think they sell it for around $12.

Meguiars cloth and trim cleaner. Good stuff Im gonna start sounding like a meg rep soon...

As the others have said, you shouldn't sand metallic paint. Use a tack cloth for that sort of thing. A few nice coats of clear, then sand the lp off the clear, then buff. It will then be like glass and you still have your metallic flakes.

Easy to apply? As easy as it gets I suppose. Easier than carnauba, thats for sure. Remove? MAGIC! Can be left on overnight and will just wipe off with terry/microfibre cloth. 15mins is all you need, but. Shine? I don't have a camera, but I took these with my phone after a wash about 1 month after waxing. The droplet photo was after a rainy night when the garage was blocked. You can see it does what its supposed to. Touch one of those drops in the center and then watch the avalanche! Does it have filling qualities? eg cover up swirl and scratches? Sure does, Thats why its good for lighter colours imo. Darker, I think you will find best results polishing and waxing seperatly. You could give it a go, it wont be a waste if it doesn't get rid of your swirls, just use it as your sealant? edit: I am no computer wizz. Those photos don't do any justice im sorry. But I can guarantee, no swirl marks on my car. But I have silver... Its a piece of piss.

You will find auto barn is the place to go for meguiars. Pretty much all my products are meguiars, dont own any mothers but I have heard their clay bars are good. My car is sonic silver, so i dont need to worry about 'polish' then wax. I use nextgen 2.0 wax, and thats a wrap. Darker colours need the 2 steps done independently for best results.

Whites a bitch like that. Work mate lives up-wind of the steel works at port kembla. white roof, blue car. He spends lots of time maintaining it but its the white that shows everything. Just a note, If you drop the clay bar, chuck it. Don't try to pull the bits of dirt out, chuck it or you could scratch your clear. A tip, use small (as practical) pieces so if you drop it, your not wasting much. P.S You need to wrap your ashtray lid too

Nice. You sealed after claying right? Clay gets rid of your old wax too...

Magnetic/plastic P Plate Stuck On Boot.

WD40. Should penitrate and lubricate. I (personally) wouldn't use fishing wire/string. Not behind a stuck magnet, anyway. Risky... -
Ahem... I said excuse the ignorance. So... They can't be certified period? You just wait to get pulled over, then have to put stockies back in to roll it over the pits, then take them back out and repeat? Seriously, I want to upgrade my seats... And these are awsome. But I aint going through all that. Again, whats the go? Regardless of how stupid it all is... Can they be made legal? Edit: sorry, just read your post again and missed you saying even if you got certs they still ping ya... And im in NSW so... worse yea?
-
Excuse my ignorance here... But because they aren't ADR approved... Would this would mean you can't even get 'em engineered for road worthy? Whats the go? Surley you guys arn't putting these in track cars?

+1 for clay. Polishing fallout is like plolishing a turd. You get shiny looking shit. Wash, clay, wash, polish, wax. If it doesn't come up a million bucks after those steps THEN I would take it in, but I have a feeling this is another case of underestimating the holy clay bar. Its magic stuff, and only needs to be done 1-2 times a year.

Oh man, your not gonna tell me your gonna undo something you like because other people don't like it. Stand up for yourself! It aint my style, but I rekon it would look better in black if you wanted to keep the texture, and minimize the complaints

Hi, Took my interior appart and in the process lost one of the 2 little plastic hinge/clip things that hold the glovebox in the dash. Anyone got a spare floating around? I must have accedently chucked it. Cheers

Same shit, different smell. You read the whole thread? I just saw this today, and it reminded me about the hitler video that is posted in this thread. Jeez.

Going back to Holdens with Chevy badges... Looks like they are even putting a bit of effort into it now. Now nobody will know its a holden... Its like what someone else said earlier, the only person they are fooling is themselves. People that don't know don't care, and people that do know think you are a tossa...
-
Well tbh I was thinking about like... Yea snipping them with a crimper on standby with earplugs because I know that should set it off... But I also know if it does go off, im gonna need more than a crimper to shut it up. Maybe manual anyone?
-
Hey all, I have an autowatch 456 rli alarm, and it has stopped making sound. No chirps and when alarm is activated only lights flash, no siren. I have contacted autowatch and am told that 95% likely the siren has died... Basicly does anyone know how I could 'test' the siren out before I potentially waste any money on a siren? cheers
