  1. I wouldn't put my stands there. Engine cross-member is the best place. You dent your chassis rails, you can get defected. btw I hope your gonna turn that jack around before you lower the car
  2. One is for HICAS the other for no HICAS iirc
  3. Oil feed is the small 'cops tail' tube (top banjo bolt) Oil return is the bigger pipe at the bottom of turbo Coolant feed is the tube that goes to turbo side of block (banjo bolt closest to yo on side) And the c**** of a thing, coolant return wraps around the back of the engine and in near the intake (banjo bolt furtherest away on side) Edit: lol why does it assume im talking about cops when I said p*i*g... Seriously!
  4. Near croome rd? Caught me off guard but i gave a nod... Ch'ur bro style. My cars been playing funny buggers lately but I had intentions on going on last pizza cruise but carputer said no. Whens the next one?
  5. Ha! If you took the aux belts off like said in the 1st reply you would have known that ages ago... good to hear its nothing big.
  6. I would. Ive had 2 rb's and both thermostats were missing some rubber (cracked off) so they were stuck open a bit. For $40 id be doing it if I were you.
  7. Wasnt a trident thermostat was it? Heard bad things about them from new. Could be stuck open? Usually temp goes up from air locks, not down?
  8. You mean Prepsol? Its used on fresly painted surfaces between coats so I cant see it eating paint... Or removing permanent marker. Its a wax and grease remover.
  9. When I took the manifold off i noticed how charred it was @ turbo end. Pulled it straight to measure for a replacement, it was dust. Fell to bits. I replaced it with another earth strap. Used a copper lug and is fine with the heat. Put a multi from heat shield to chassis point and check resistance to see if it needs replacing. If I understand correctly the earth strap is to prevent electrolysis, I doubt it would help your idle.
  10. Yeah. Just seal a bottle in the radiator and keep filling so its above the level of the bleeder (highest point) run the engine and it will bubble down. Just keep topping up until it cant take any more. Make sure you block the overflow somehow tho, or it just flows in there rather the radiator.
  11. Im never gonna touch that bleeder again. It makes a friggin mess. Coke bottle trick ftw. Failproof
  12. Hey umm... Call me crazy but if your looking for a cheap fix, why not just use a bit of 80mm pipe and 2 hose clamps? Weld a lip on the ends if you really wanna go all out?
  13. Yeah, but I think its just 2 studs that you need to replace go make it fit from what I am aware.
  14. Blown turbo? Pull the exhaust off the back of the turbo and see if the blades are missing. Edit: or easier... Pull the cat off and see if u got ninja stars stuck in there.
  15. ^not to mention they last 15-20 years!
