  1. GTS-t VSPEC, how many cheap (and how cheap) 550cc injectors can you get:D
  2. Hmm, pretty sure the AC control is the purple plug, not the brown.
  3. Here's another thought (running hot). I have seen over east, companies that promote group A style cars where they take you for a couple of hot laps, then let you have a rip.... now that would be worth paying for (Just have to talk Jash into taking down his R)
  4. I was under the impression that a catch can was legal - just the breather that is illegal:confused:
  5. Another thought. Have you had a look at the recipe for the SummerNats held in canberra. I went to one a few years back and it was awesome. As with what alot of the other guys are saying, lots of tarts - they came from every where, wet t-shirt comps (might be a bit tought in winter), burnout comps, dyno shoot outs, etc. Then add some drifting demos - how many people would love to have a thrash around a circuit for under the cost of Barbegello race way? I'd say you'd get a few takers. They also did a street parade, spose that helps drum up more interest with the public, which means better attendance, better media coverage, better profile for import owners and more money into displays. EDIT: maybe even combine the show with a national drift event, get some interstate interest - now that would be nice to see.
  6. A decent suspension shop should be able to help you out. If in WA try Wilkinson suspension.
  7. I'm sorry, I dont know what model they are. I got mine for $1300 in what can only be described as excellent condition - bought them through a tuning shop but that price was alot cheaper than normal 'cos I have been dealing with them for a while. Another thing with Ohlins is that they can be rebuilt in Aust, so it might be worth checking out how much for a full rebuild, as you can pick up Ohlins for alot less than what I paid. I have seen examples for as little as $900 in the for sale section on this site. Edit: try www.ohlins.com
  8. Perhaps even different sections, performance and other (ok rice), just to keep it simple and to cater to different tastes?
  9. Mine had exactly this problem. A plug had come off at the back of the control facia. Plugged it back in - all good Steve
  10. I have a set on my 'line. I personally think they are awesome. Not harsh kidneybelt material. I haven't tried them on the track - a few more mods before I head down that street, so to speak. Roadholding is excellent, height adjustable via a circlip type setup, adjust in about 5mm increments (I haven't acutally measured them). There is a damper adjustment on the rears -mine is set to four for general street driving and that seems to work fine. I do believe that they are a bit rare on street cars 'cause new they are around 1g a corner, though I got mine alot cheaper second hand. To sum up, I am very, very happy Steve
  11. WTF?
  12. More trade displays and more discounts - these shows are where I do a bit of research and shopping. But, its all good.
  13. Thanks heaps for that. I have seen a couple of articles that point to the work of Tilbrooks. Looks like I will have to pop in and see them when I get over there - obviously the guy knows his stuff, which is the most important thing when it comes to getting work done. Thanks again Steve:)
  14.
  15. grepin Congrats on a nice result. I have a power fc and fmic, but when they were fitted the clutch decided to start slipping, so the best I got was 260rwhp before the power curve flatlined. Also my AFM is maxing out at 4500rpm. Have installed a new clutch and Z32 is on the way so fingers crossed. I would be really happy with a result like yours. Who did you get to do the tune. I will be moving to Adelaide in january and am looking to find a decent shop. Any help greatly appreciated Steve EDIT: also, how much boost were you running?
  16. There are a lot of nice cars out there, everyone has a preference, or perhaps may have a hard time picking a fave. I fall into that category - the skyline takes it by a nose for me. I still have alot of respect for many cars out there. IMACUL8, nice choice of ride, sounds sweet. I must give the rexes one thing over most cars - they hold their resale really well, so if you get bored it doesn't hurt the hip pocket quite so bad.

No point getting your nose out of joint after the fact - do the crime, do the time (if you get caught)
  18. Slayer, check the WA forum
  19. Rev 210, thanks for the info. Sounds like a pretty straight forward job - cant wait now:D Cheers Steve
  20. Don't know how much difference all the speed cameras make - except to the pockets of the pollies. Speed isn't the problem on the roads, its drivers who seem to think that they are bulletproof and have a god given right to drive in any manner they wish, regardless of where its done. Bloody Pollies chasing revenue is all - Feel better after that vent:)
  21. I think driver ability will have a bit to say. Make sure you do an ecu reset. Although alot of people dont believe in ecu resets, after traffic driving for a while, my car used to run out of puff at 6000rpm, resetting the ecu and she would pull to redline. EDIT: If all things are equal, the 60' of the wrx will probably make life very difficult for you.
  22. GTS-t VSPEC, I would be very interested in getting my dump and front pipe done. An idea of price would be good, and a big thanks for your help. Cheers Steve rev210, If the ceramic coat thing doesnt pan out, I will be thermo wraping my dump/front pipe (maybe even both coat and wrap:D ). Where is Thermotec available through, who would you recommend to do the job and what sort of dollars are we talking(dump/front/turbo blanket)? Hope thats not too many questions, any help is very gratefully received. Cheers Steve
  23. Definately a good idea to check it out, IMHO, as my steering doesn't seem heavy at speed.
  24. Saw a HKS dump pipe. It was a million bucks on the outside, but inside was another matter, wasn't too impressed.
  25. Strich9ine, Dude, I understand your frustration, but I think it may be a bit misdirected. Have a closer look at who is contracting Barries Dyno - the car dealer. They are responsible for the work being done to the car. It is more than likely that they took the car into barries without making an appointment, and just told him to look at it. Also very possible that several others have cars waiting to be done that have made appointments. Perhaps get onto the car yard and insist on making a curteousy car available, see if that hurries things along
