I bought a kinugawa td05 18g 8cm yet to be installed.when i bought it it took about 3 weeks to receive as the dude told me he was going to machine the wastegate port to resolve the issues.it looks like an awesome turbo.will be installing in about a month but if u want any specific pics of it let me know.cheers.

I am going to Max the rb out with all the usual mods i already have a front mount running 15psi.wanted to eliminate 2 metres of piping.cant do a same side front mount due to having no room for piping.what about the water to air type.are they any good.cheers.

How close can you get a side mount intercooler to perform to a front mount on a mildly modded rb20det.

chasing a good gearbox with no whine and no crunching also a stock bov pipe from bov to airbox. .cheers

Wanted z32 afm not the chinese rip off.after a original bosch one in new condition.

im pulling the pistons out this weekend ill clean them up and post a picture of all 6 together.

the valves in the current head are perfect.i imagine that someone stuffed up,realized then changed the head or the valves. I just cant understand how all the valves have touched at one point unless it was revved to the moon and all the valves valve bounced causing them all to briefly touch..could this be the only explanation.,i think cam timing would only affect one side or would it?

Its got me stuffed.they are 0.5 oversized pistons.every piston has these marks on inlet and exhaust.had stock valve springs in the head.im only concerned as I have a recoed skimmed head to put on and I am also installing some 264 9.0mm lift cams and also heavy duty springs.i am gonna check the clearances before final installation but this is just a mystery to me.looks like it has hit maybe on 3 occasions but on every piston.valves in current head do not have any clash signs on any of them.

Nope.someone please get a f cking spoon out for me please. I tried for 1 1/2 hours last night still couldn't upload a photo.Yep I know instructions have been sent to me.and also no luck searching on google how to do it.i tried looking for a "direct image link function" button. so in imjur there is a column on the right with all the http locations when I get my photo up and when I click on the little icon on the left hand side it says copied.how do I get it to my post.On my post I tried clicking on the paste buttons = no good.i tried to drag it from injur to sau but it doesn't work. I need a spoon. I don't want to read another ten posts of negative crap of how ive been instructed. ive tried and I just cant seem to get it to work.i appreciate the positive help.i just want to get a picture of this bloody piston up.Oh I also tried clicking on the actual pic to copy...nope no luck......

hey all any ideas. bought a rb20det..opened it up and found little marks where the valves have just touched the clearance cut outs in all pistons in and ex.about 2 mm near the 1/3 circle valve clearance cut outs.each one has about 3 little hits not very deep.its had adj inlet cam gear set on 0,arp headstuds and a 1.3 mls gasket.valves on head have no marks.this is probably why it had 05 pistons put in and the head recoed at one stage.i want to install hks 264 9.1mm cams and heavy valve springs but I want to know how could these marks have happened.do I need to put a thicker headgasket..is this usually a problem.cheers

I have similar mods but also a walbro 225 fuel pump wired in at 13.5 volts this increases fuel capacity slightly so I can run higher boost without leaning out on the standard injectors.i also have a mines ecu and I only run on premium 98..car goes very well and revs nicely to 8000.at the moment with my 3 degrees negative camber it wheel spins on boost in first and second gear.getting rid of the camber soon.they say ceramic turbo never boost past 13.5 but I been running 15 with no problems.maybe if you drifting may be another story also get a good afr wideband fuel mixture gauge.real important to monitor mixtures.on 15 psi I am running on full boost 11.1 which is safe.this tell me that my injectors are suppling enough fuel and im not running lean.apparently they say mines computers are shit,but I have not had a drama at all and ive had the car for 2 years as a daily. I am in the process of installing the following mods..kinugawa td05 18g 8cm exhaust housing,nistune ecu,700cc injectors,z32 afm,,new recoed head,and tossing up whether to instal hks 264 9mm lift cam shafts....I don't drift it so I think this will be more than enough for the street.the rb20 is a awesome motor.i nearly bought a 32 gtr but I think as a daily the gtst is a better car. you get dickheads on the forums just ignore them..they are like bored housewives.alot of the rb20 stuff links don't work.and there are a lot of awesome people with good advice...good luck

Got my hands on a pair of the above mentioned cams.Im unsure as to use them or leave stock cams in.ill need to buy hd valve springs if I do use them ($400).im gonna add a whole lot of other engine upgrades at the same time.my question is.if you had a whole heap of mods done to a rb20det would there be a big difference in performance adding the cams or just using stock ones.mods will be td05 18g,nistune 700cc injectors,totally recoed head,possible adjustable cam gears, z32afm. If you have used these cams id love to know how they perform...cheers
