  1. Thanks Tez will look in to this as a potential option, however was hoping more for a solution based on a spray on and walk away type application process.
  2. That works, any excuse to meet up and take pics.
  3. Never seen something like that before Jay019, looks fantastic.
  4. Thanks for the reply Jonno34. Ordered some 303 this afternoon so will give it a go over the weekend. Will also check out PERL.
  5. Thanks for all the replies, direction and suggestion guys.
  6. Hope so, And earlier if possible?
  7. Sorry to hear mate, bad luck. Its obviously either your lights themselves or your environment causing the issue. Out of interest, what clear did you use and how many coats did you apply? Anyway, as you have already attempted all potential avenues of rectification, brand new genuine Nissan replacement lights are readily available via Nissan direct (Ex Japan). Keep the headlight protectant in to them from brand new and there's your permanent solution. I havent even touched my GTR ones yet, I plan on replacing them with brand new ones as I want them to be absolutely perfect too.
  8. Hi All, For those who bother doing it, what products do you use for detailing your wheel arches? The standard cleaning part I just use generic products and brushes, however for the next step I'm currently looking at two products to bring out the shine - '303 Aerospace' and 'Meguiars All Season Cleaner'. There are up and down sides to both - 303 Aerospace is water based so as soon as it gets wet, its pretty much gone. Approx $25 a bottle. Can also be used on engine bays with fantastic results. For me, the fact that it does not last too long is not an issue my the car is always washed once a week without fail. All Season Cleaner is a Meguiars product with a great reputation however would have to get this imported from the UK @ approx $100 a bottle. I'll probably end up trying out both, as they both appear to meet my requirements for one thing or another - but interested in any personal experiences with this. Thanks.
  9. Just found this review on the Meguiars headlight protectant longevity, seems its a few months - http://www.autogeeko...evity-test.html Also a few options on headlight protectant film, interesting stuff but again not sure how effective - https://www.google.c...iw=1280&bih=885
  10. Just thinking. To keep them looking their absolute best, I believe they would need an application of some form of protectant every few months unless you plan on clear coating them. Its sort of like maintaining the paint on your car. Apart from this, unfortunately I dont think there would be such a thing as apply and forget. There are other film based solutions i've heard about, but again - havent tried them so cant provide feedback.
  11. Haha sorry, if thats the case - could try shooting them with a coat of clear or the headlight sealant above. Hope this helps.
  12. Just thinking. Every time I wax my cars I go over the head lights as well, so this potentially helps a bit. But if you want a dedicated sealant, you could try this - http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotive/products/g17110-headlight-protectant/ I've got a bottle but cant give any educated or constructive feedback as I havent used it yet. Hope this helps.
  13. Im getting error when trying to access - 502 Bad Gateway nginx/1.0.10
  14. Replacement lens for mine has been sourced, thanks. Spoke to my mate today, he's still interested in a standard vspec or nismo cluster so search continues. Cheers.
  15. Although I get bored of cars pretty quickly, there are a few in my collection that I have kept for years and after doing this and keeping the plastix on them every few months, have not had the yellowing reoccur.
  16. Hi All, Looking for recommendations where to have wheel repair done in Sydney? I would like to get my R34 GTR rims refinished in their factory colour as they have slight rash and stone chips on them. I'm located in Rouse Hill so something local would be handy but willing to travel if necessary. Done a bit of searching and found some recommendations but most threads I found of this nature are a few years old. Appreciate any advice or direction. Thanks.
  17. Anyone around here going to this?
  18. Would have loved to come to this but had other commitments. Looking forward to pics.
  19. I just did headlight restoration on an R34 using fine grade wet and dry sand paper, followed by standard compounding and polishing steps and sealing with Meguairs Plastix. Came up brand new, took a few pics of left to right comparison.
  20. Looks mint. GTR's deserve to be pampered.
