  1. So what does this new turbo drives like compare to the SS1 that I just bought?
  2. Can't be stuffed taking the car to exhaust joint and they wanted to charge me $350 for a intake pipe. lol beside I've already bought the part. add: Yea man thats GTRS's performance with better response at half the cost. fken nice to drive. can't wait to get it boosted and tuned.
  3. Probably don't need to, but I wanted a 3inch metal intake pipe and can't afford to have the car off the road. Plus that BOV is top notch, not like those coloured toys you see at local auto stores. for $150 including all the welding work, just too good to refuse. The mechanic modified those 2x metal pipes connecting stock intake pipe from factory BOV and Breather, so its not in the way of the new intake pipe. The factory BOV is now blocked but still connected while the breather is currently ventilated to atmosphere. The car hunts a tinny bit when the BOV opens, my tuner said it can be touched up once I have my computer installed. I'm still running the factory air box, and stock heat shield, every thing looks very standard.
  4. Finally got my ATR43SS1 installed. After a short consideration I believe its totally worth paying $250 for one of stao's mechanics to install it onsite and buy what ever stao recommends from him self. So I end up getting: 5x 2mm thick cooper washers: $20 1x hard 3 inch intake pipe made from 2x 45 degrees silicon hoses and 1x 45 degrees steel pipe: $80 1x hypergear's Blow off valve (Its massive, not a toy). modified and fitted onto my cooler piping. : $150 1x milled out brass plate blocking off my old BOV. $20 I've also bought an additional low pressure actuator for $100 installed for time been till the car is at a tuning stage. His Mechanic showed up at 2pm yesterday and the whole thing was finished around 6pm. We went for a quick drive, felt good and no leaks. Paid the mechanic and called that a day. Not really sure if the new turbo needed of running in, so I went for a 100KM trip today. This turbo is very responsive, on road response is about identical to my factory turbo, and it also a light "Singggggggg" sound on light throttle. Performance wise, the ATR43 has a very strong take off. For example at take off at traffic light in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear full throttle. The car would just launch, the power delivery is very linear from the first moment, and pulled harder and harder as it emerges red line. Like a smooth momentum with very strong and solid build up of power as engine revs out. Drivability wise it's still very factory, with more power through out the whole rev range. My standard turbo in comparison just felt really flat after 4000RPMs. The car's running about 9.5psi at moment on stock tune. Still waiting for few bits and pieces and I will post up my result once its fully tuned. Money wise I spent on the turbo and installation plus hard intake pipe and custom bov fully installed so far is: $1970 The amount of time taken to install was bit over 4 hours including removing my factory turbo. This is a brilliant turbo for a daily driver. Big thanks to Stao on the turbo plus the technical and mechanical support. Very happy .
  5. They looks like pliers marks when pulling them out. Also the colour of the pin in the top all in different colours, no way they are "Brand New" by ebay's definition. I think I'm just going to use it as take more time to get the same thing, hopefully they works as what that piece of paper says.
  6. or you could just fill in a engine transplate form and try your luck. some of the officers won't pick on it as it all starts with RB
  7. Photos attached. notice the marks: There's a paper report came with them, I bet he's printed 1000s of those and give away with all the injectors he's sold. Also those are pin head nozzles. not sure how good the pattern's going to be like.
  8. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RB25DET-RB25-r33-300zx-GTS-T-ecr33-650cc-Fuel-Injectors-/170660763771?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27bc2c987b Just letting every one know. They aren't brand new even the seller advertised them as brand new. They are high flowed injectors. Mine just turned up, and there are visible tool marks on all of them. not sure if they work good, but freken pissed at this stage.
  9. Thinking to upgrade my stockie and every one pointed this thread. Wahoo this is a very informative thread. Filled with real experiences, real results, real feed backs, DIYs and plenty of recommendations based on solid out comes. And you guys's works looks great, must been taking lots of practices to do that sort of welding and machining work. I’ve just ordered an Atr43ss-1 for my 93 R33 GTT can't wait to receive it. Will post reviews of the whole package as its getting installed and tuned.
