  1. And full boost was at around 3250rpms, creeped 2psi in mid range.
  2. Finally got mine SS1PU tuned. It made 255rwkws on 16psi. Dame responsive to drive. will upload sheets later when I get a scanner.
  3. Thats about the same as my ss1pu on 16psi psi of boost, full boost on 3250rpms 4th gear. Run 3076R in .63 rear internally gated on your current setup won't make much more then what you've got, probably just add in more lag, unless you turn that on a 6boost with a large externally gated, unless turning into e85 or WMI. Pretty sure Hypergears makes biggest bolton internally gated turbos you can find, How ever won't make their peek efficiency been used as a bolton, I believe the limit is 280rwkws unless you go for a better manifold or butcher the stock manifold. Your 2835kai already has a 3071 core, you can just get the surge holes plugged and run that on a high mount with externally gated setup, that should be getting around the 280rwkws mark. Best have a look through the dyno sheet section for what manifold, gate and cam setup that most people have got and made 300rwkws+ with.
  4. Congratuations this is mint result man. Why is the torque stupidly high?
  5. Turned out to be coil packs. Tried mate's stock ones and the miss fire went away and far out my car pulls crazy. Ordering a set of split fires, and finishing off the tune. Thanks guys.
  6. It has the propery plugs (some thing 7ES) at 0.8mm gap. Its sort of wavey uptop and tuner stopped at around 6000RPMs. We originally throught it was just spark plugs and planed to change them and set it back on the dyno again next day, how ever it didn't fix it. since then I've changed all the other bits and no luck. Can't think of any thing else.
  7. I think some of yous might be able to help me here instead of starting a new thread. I've got the SS1PU installed, it runs fine and last tuned 262rwkws with miss firing. Since then I've got a set of Yellow jackets, changed CAS, spark plugs and the miss fire is still there. Its fine as daily but on full throttle it would miss and pop. Car is a 95 model R33 with Z32 ECU + Nistune and Z32 AFM with usual supporting mods.
  8. The most common mods would be: Front mount cooler 3inches Turbo back exhaust some ID 1000 injectors (drop in for R34) Nistune ECU Z32 AFM Get your turbo to hypergear for a high flow or get one of their bolton turbos. get a proper tune and should be seeing any where upto 280rwkws pump or 300+ with E85.
  9. Check out atr43ss1 from hypergear thread. I remember seeing one making 225rwkws pump 98 with pretty much identical boost and power curve to a hks2535
  10. LOL What sort of customer support is that.
  11. Congratulations on the result, but the No.s seems low for what its got. I have a Garrett GT2871 56T in .64 rear in my 180SX SR20det with Tomei Pon cams and that made 260rwkws on 18psi with pump 98 fuel. 261rwkws on E85 is propabably just pass 230rwkws on pump. Whats that turbo equivalent to in Garrett range?
  12. I went through the dyno sheet section and seems no one's making big power out of return flow coolers either, the highest 286rwkws from DVSJES is only because of E85 feed with aftermarket manifold and gate. How ever cutting wholes in chassis in Vic is defectable, don't go to Vic road appointed engineers they will end up making you going through VIV. So performance and road legal needs to be weighted. But I'm getting a set of plazaman return flows and will post some feedbacks on that.
  13. 3076 is a good turbo for the 300rwkws mark. 250rwkws If that is your goal check out hypergear's ss1pu turbo, that would be the most responsive turbo for that sorta of power and pretty much bolton. Far as engine concern as long as its been tuned well then it should have no issues, how ever some of the old electrical parts might not like the extra boost as I had to replace all coil packs and CAS controller on mine.
  14. The SS1PU would be a very good turbo to get if chasing similar response / power to the 2835, and it infact made more power all over the places on paper. I'm testing new actuator mod which Stao released few days ago, Boost went up by 2psi, The minimum boost I can run now is 19psi with no boost controller.
  15. traction on the ss1pu is a problem. like what you are seeing on the dyno, the power and torque ramped up so quickly the car just skits WOT 1st and 2nd. Goes like 1st Waaaaaaaaaaa 2nd Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and my car's moved like 2 meters. 3rd gear seems to be ok. need to control acceleration paddle on my toes when having a go at some random V8s. But fun to drive. There is an ss1pu prototype stao recently built with 11 blades GTX style wheel appears not as aggressive, I can imagine that would pick up better traction WOT. The other turbo I originally wanted to get was the G3 fnt, the torque on that held very wide and spread after 4200RPMs all the way to 7300. That would be very fast on tracks. How ever my car's a daily, so more response the better.
  16. I'm refering to stao's test car result in dynosheet section: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=55845&view=findpost&p=5988137 compare to the best 2835 pump 98 result based on the same dyno http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=55845&view=findpost&p=4972815 the 2835 also had set of cam gears which stao's are stock. Will finalise mine before end year.
  17. Get the ATR43ss1pu. I'm running one, super responsive and pulls hard. half the price of 2835 and more power through out whole rev range. So much fun.
  18. I've installed a set of split fire coils and she's all sweet, I've left it on 14psi for daily. goes hard, very responsive and builds power up very quickly. feels like round the 230 mark at moment, I will take her back for a retune when I get time off work. Far as I can see I'm still running stock water lines and drain with this oil line. every thing cleared the dump area and bolted up to manifold no worries. Except my turbo's installed by hypergear's mechanic on site, so they must know what they are doing. For $250 its not worth my headaces I just want to drive it .
  19. My car's also fitted with the same turbo, the rear housing pushed back around half a inch, mine's on a JJR's 3inch mild steel bell mouth, it still had plenty of clearance behind it, it could have some thing to do with shape of your dump pipe. I've replaced the cat in it 2 weeks ago, like what stao said once the bracket is removed and exhaust got lot of movement, it hasn't been a problem on my car. My actuator runs 15psi consistantly with no boost controller, never jamed. Lilcrash I've been following abit of your thread, didn't you install the actuator your self? Its got all those problems yet to be fixed, just as if I'm blaming the turbo because my car mis-fired cos I can run more boost.
  20. My car only run upto 5500RPMs due to coil issues, so it made 17psi around 3200 and held pretty flat till where we stopped.
  21. Mine pulled one run of 262rwkws on 17psi before coil pack failure. Drove home like a wrx. Car felt excellent before this happening. Getting some splitfires to finish off the tune.
  22. ^^^ LoL makes me think of the same thing when some one mentions "head" insteald of "engine head"
