R34 Gt-Four Diffs And Diff Ratios
PSIKO replied to PSIKO's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
It was a manual RB25DE -
Hi all Just trying to find some info on diffs and diff ratios for R34 GT-Fours - have searched high and low but can't find a definitive answer. Does anyone know for sure, what is the diff ratio front and rear? And is the rear diff LSD? The RB26 is in, with the GTR front diff still attached, but wondering whether there is actually any difference between the GT-Four and GTR diffs as the rear is still stock GT-Four. If the ratios are different, I assume having GTR front and GT-Four rear will affect the ATTESA? Cheers

Hi guys, I've recently jumped back into the Skyline scene after being a fair few years in the magical world of Holden (well, still am), and after running through the spare parts and workshop lists which are pinned I noticed that a substantial number of these businesses don't seem to exist anymore. Are we able to update this list at all? I burned a fair amount of time going through the list to no avail (strangest question I got back was "hmm ... Skyline ... who makes those again?" ... after my heart sank I started to doubt whether those guys should've been on the list in the first place), and I'm sure with all the chatter in this WT Trash V8 thread that we have a lot of people who could update the list pretty easily should they take a small bit of time to help us out-of-date peeps out. Cheers all! tl;dr: pinned workshop thread is massively out of date - updates would be greatly appreciated

Sold. -
The car was originally built back in 2004/2005 and has been pretty much garaged for as long due to hectic work schedule over the past few years. As such, I’ve decided to finally part ways with my Nissan and put it up for sale. Details and mods are as follows: Make: Nissan Model: 1989 S13 Silvia convertible with 180SX front-end conversion Pics Front ¼: http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/o581/psikosale/DSC00301a.jpg Front: http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/o581/psikosale/DSC00309a.jpg Engine: http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/o581/psikosale/DSC00363a.jpg Rear ¼: http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/o581/psikosale/DSC00356a.jpg Interior: http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/o581/psikosale/DSC00358a.jpg Misc: http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/o581/psikosale/DSC00370a.jpg Engine Modifications RB26DETT MoTeC M8 + ignition expander BNR34 GTR twin turbos (steel-wheel) Bar/plate FMIC Trust Grex 1.2mm headgasket Trust Grex adjustable cam-gears Trust oil filter relocator Trust Type-S bov Nismo engine mounts Bosch 040 fuel pump (brand new) Custom baffled sump Nismo thermostat R32GTST radiator Twin 10” thermo fans Twin K&N pod filters 3BAR MAP sensor Exterior Modifications BN Sports front bar BN Sports side skirts M-Sports front guards Vertex rear bar Widened rear guards Despoilered Resprayed in phantom black Suspension and Wheels Modifications Trust adjustable suspension Rear strut-brace Nismo twin plate sprung centre clutch Nismo lightened flywheel R33GTST 5-speed gearbox Custom one-piece tailshaft Nismo gearbox mount R32 GTST LSD R32 GTR front brakes R33 GTST rear brakes CNC billet hubs (front) R33 GTST axles/hubs (rear) 18" Starcorp Kaotik rims with 225/40/18 (front) & 255/35/18 (rear) (90%+ tread all-round) There is currently 6 months of registration remaining on the S13, expiring October 2012. All window motors are working fine, roof pump works fine and the roof is in very good condition. Engine is in very good condition - I had Hyperdrive perform a comp test on the engine (so that it’s a third party confirmation), results are: 175/175/175/180/180/175 cyls 1-6. They also gave it a mild tune (9psi) at ~270rwhp, at 18psi it should make somewhere in the order of 350rwhp I would imagine. Upfront known issues: 1. Stereo used to work, but doesn't seem to anymore 2. Rear right window needs replacing, however I have the replacement window; I just haven't had the time to put it in 3. The convertible roof needs wiring into the switch; note that the roof does work however 4. The front left brake appears to be slightly dragging as there is a very slight noise coming from the brake - no brake fumes though and still brakes work well 5. Although it has remained registered, the engine conversion has not been been engineered - Dept. of Transport website has a list of guys that can perform the work I'm looking at $11,500ono for this. All the hard work's been done and there has been a lot of blood and sweat (and $$) poured into it; there's just the small niggly items as noted above. This is a very rare car (Autech only converted 400), and it carries an RB26. Feel free to send me a PM or post a reply if you have any further questions, or you can catch me on mobile 0404 70 50 63. Please note I still run a hectic work schedule, so I'm not interested in time-wasters. Jules

-
So it's a fair bit of work then? Crank out etc?
-
Cheers Morgs - I thought you had done something along these lines so was kinda hoping for a reply from you So basically I need to buy : R32 GTR water pump R33 N1 oil pump JUN collar All bolts straight up ? Will it be possible for myself to do the job or will I need a workshop to do it? Bearing it mind the engine's sitting on a stand. Thanks !
-
Ahh ok cheers. How about the R33 N1 oil pump ... does that need the collar as well ?
-
Hi OK I've searched around for a long time now on various forums and I'm going around in circles with differing views. I just need a definitive answer Firstly, the engine (early model RB26) is on an engine stand at the moment. For peace of mind I'd like to replace the oil pump and water pump while the engine's out of the car. Can I do these myself? The water pump part should be easy ... just buy an R32 GTR item from Nissan and replace there on the stand. I won't bother with an N1 item as I've heard they're for constant high rpm usage. But with regards the oil pump, I've heard people say "buy a JUN collar" or "weld a bit onto the end of the crank". What is the best option here? Should I buy a standard Nissan oil pump and then buy the JUN collar as well? I've also heard perhaps to buy an R33 N1 oil pump? So confused! Any help/tips/hints would be massively appreciated

Same with Dewsons in Claremont It has the list of BP's on the wall where you pay, but looked like there weren't any near Claremont
-
Ahh ok If they have the A/R written on the front then they're not R34 N1 turbos unfortunately. Prolly just the 34 GTR ones. And if they're a yellowy coloured injector top they're most probably standard.

Me too, one being a 1997 Civic in Perth He said Reno (head of the pits) said all cf bonnets are legal
