  5. hi all, well as some of you know, my car needs a bit of service work, so i have been compiling a list of must do's, have to do's and like to get done, now the must do's and have to do's list will get done in one hit and i know some items that i will need to get, however, i would like to get some advice as what parts for some areas, list is as follows: Must do: 1. oil change 2. oil filter change 3. fuel filter change 4. air filter change (looking at the K & N Apollo CAI system) 5. coil packs replaced 6. spark plugs replaced 7. coil pack loom replacement 8. new tyre's (new rims hopefully soon as well) have to do: 1. fix boost controller system (as some of you remember, this was done dodgy by someone else) Like to do: 1. full aftermarket ECU (looking at Haltec) 2. forward facing planum 3. install more thermos (already bought these for my old car but never used them) now as i'm still rather new to the boost world, i would like some advice: 1. what is the best (or a good choice of oil) 2. should i go genuine for the filters (oil and fuel) 3. what was the name of that wreckers in redcliffe so i can get a new loom 4. what type of spark plugs should i get next part is simple, am i able to get some help with doing some items like installing a boost controller (i will be getting a electronic boost controller for future upgrades) and gauge, and hopefully if someone would let me do this work somewhere would be great (land son of rajab said no to any mechanical work on the premises and not wanting to drive 120+ k's to the parents) anyway, hope to see you all soon, has been to long and have a very happy and safe christmas and a fun and enjoyable new years eve

  7. i've got a 4 year old that would be coming with me if i decide to come along, and i am wondering if it would be $50 for him as well

  9. mate, if you wanted to have a look at what i have, all you would need to do is ask, i would so love to have a R32 GT-R
  10. whose up for harry's tonight?, going to be there at about 7ish
  11. feel like going all boost cruising here, swap for a 94 GTS T? kidding, nice car tho, wish you did this like 6 months ago, i would have snapped this up in seconds
  12. looking good mate, do you have big plans for her, of just to get her running nice and sweet?
  13. i'm thinking more along the line of doing the hicas lock bar mod, remove the hicas all together.
  14. i had something similar to this, however, it wasn't from driving hard, it was from just driving for a long time, like 2 or 3 hours straight, hicas came on, turned the car off, but where yours came back on, mine turned off, some people told be that there might be a slight dodgy connection at the hicas itself, but that has only happened to me once anyway. but as borci88 said, check the fuses, i would also check connections as well.
  15. I'll give it a go when I save up for a set of bc's, I just feel that in theory it should work, plus the thread idea sounds like a good idea Might ask for the services of some people on here when it comes time to install everything, so we can document it all, or I might end up say f**k it and do it myself
  16. Would love to Bodo, but will have the young fella, on another note, I was thinking about your idea with the coilovers at the rear and how to change the settings without taking out the back seat, did you think about using some conduit say 20mm conduit with a rubber band type rubber around the nob on top, slip the conduit over that, in my mind the rubber and conduit should make a good grip and allow to turn the nob easily
  17. i reject your reality and substitute my own
  18. Bodo, you don't like tankers cause you probably end up losing all the time to them
  19. ah to shay, well mate, i know when i am wrong, and appreciate the input, i will rectify the spelling
