I'm doing a simular thing tho into a BMW I just changed the head gasket and re dis water pump just a general maiternance service I didn't bother with oil pump and it all looks good but I had the luck to see motor running before being removed. A new set of bearings wouldn't hurt either

Do a leak down test sounds like hg I recently bought a 26 with a busted head gasket was running fine just getting hot pulled the head off and the gasket was gone. Replaced it did a leakdown and cam back perfect results

That will be better I was running one on my 32 rb20 and had good results but I still suggest a gtr cooler they are 600x300x65 I'm fairly sure plus they are cheap

Take that 100 mm cooler off and buy a gtr cooler or something better. 100 mm cooler will make no improvement to a stock 20 or wouldn't even suite a highly modified 20

Might have to do what I did with the BMW remove everything so it's Completly bare then wipe it out with thinners. -
Found a cheap Evo turbo td05-16g I can get 2 for a catch can would these be any good on a 26

Tighten you fan belt slightly if the niose stops I would be buying new belts

Could be a million things get a screwdriver and see if you can isolate the noise

I was 2 days late to buy this thing haha looks good now. Looks better now then when it was sitting at brads shop -
But for now it will be r34 oem turbos and that's about it becides using a rb25 sump converted to rear with a external drain direct to the oil pump.

Picked up for 1000 bucks had blown hg now fixed came back perfect from a leakdown test will be going in 2 weeks brads engineer is happy with the conversion a set of -5 in a few months and see how long it lasts. all I need is a drivers window and install the r34 seats. I did find a m3 motor but was going to cost me 6g

Nothing wrong with running no bov you just get a bit of hesitation between high rpm gear changes. Also you will need your tune checked when your screemer is plumbed in also there is a possibility you will lose 30kw with it plumbed back in

I'll say it's not a rb25 but it is a better motor and will sound wicked

Soon been working flat out with risking but have a surprise sitting at brads workshop he has helped me out heaps I think he is even excited about it

Better to be safe then sorry. Takes no more then a hour to pull it off and check and bolt it back on
