  1. I have the exact same problem and going off my ecu it's saying the tps is the problem. Try pulling off your passenger kick panel then pull the ecu off you will c a screw with a light next to it turn on your reds and then turn the screw fully anti clockwise and the light will flash if you get 55 which is 5 long flashes and 5 short flashes. The code it's giving me is 4 long flashes and 3 short flashes if you have that it's the tps there is a forum that gives all the codes and meanings. You can also read it on the dash do that and it may just be your problem

  3. I have the same problem on my rb20 and I was suggested to clean the acc valve with carby cleaner also I did my own research and my tps is the problem on mine I'm only saying what iv been told and figured out on my own I'm not I pro but could still work

OK so the car wll now idle propely I'm putting it down to having the idle sensor in the wrong spot but I still have the problem of the car stalling unless I hold the accelarator on so I got the shits and decided to check the ecu codes and it came up saying the tps sensor is dead so I checked all wiring looks good now I'm guessing it has to be the sensor itself. Can the sensor be fixed or should I smash it with a hammer and buy a new one and fit it's a new one how much are they and does anyone have one

  6. Yeah it's still on there iv removed the plenum and put the stock one on to see if it makes any difference I'm hoping it works

Hey everyone I have I issue with my rb20 to start with it has stock ecu custom front facing plenum rb25 turbo with bigger compressor wheel and op6 turbine housing welded wastegate highmounted, turbosmart external wastegate 35mm, walbro fuel pump and 32 gtr intercooler with piping to suite now my problem is the car will start and sometimes hold idle and when it does hold idle It hunts really badly revs go from 1000 to 2500 and just keeps doing it and I'm fairly sure it's not the air flow sensor because it will rev over 2500 with no restriction iv replaced the plugs and one of my knock sensors was broken so I got a new one iv cheeked all sensors are connected and iv cheeked for vacume leaks but can't find any I really need help on this one. What could be causing this?
  8. Yeah I was thinking that I just need to find somewhere that does it as im on the central coast and don't really want to pay a tow fee to Sydney does anyone know anyone on the coast that does it
  9. Same thing happened to my r32. I replaced coils, plugs, o2 sensor and installed a fpr and the light went away not sure which one did it but the car ran much better alot smoother even had more fuel economy. I was told by a mechanic that the o2 sensor can cause a few problems if not running properly. I wouldn't worry to much about your motor should be fine unless you fried the ass out of it

  11. Hey everyone I'm building a r32 gtst m spec even to most of the m spec gear is gone and changed to standard. I payed 3 grand for the car will 120000 on the clock and paint was in terrible condition. It was stock as a rock becides from pod filter cleaned injectors and a apparent nismo head gasket. Iv had it for 10 months and it's been off the road for 6 of them. Before I started the car made 164.6 km on the dyno. Now 6 months down the track lists of things have changed mods included Vg30 turbo soon to be steel wheeled Top mount turbo manifold ( just easier to work on) R32 gtr cooler Apexi pod filter 32 mm wastegate Custom plenum front facing 18 inch work rims ( New interior Midnight blue paint job Rsr cat back exaust Custom front pipe and dump 3 inch Walbro fuel pump tomei for Hid headlight kid 10000k Now I was wondering what other mods should I throw in there to support the added mods or would it be ok? This is my first serious build and iv done all the work myself including fabrication and is this a bad turbo for the rb20 will it be to laggy just want to know before I spend a heap of money high flowing it

Hey guys sorry for not replying sooner I tried the piping that way and wasn't really happy with it so I tool it to myself to make a plenum and I'm hoping it will work what I did was remove top half of the stock plenum and blocked it off and filled it with water to c how many liters of water it held then I fabricated a plenum to the same size and capacity being a fabricator myself was easy. The plenum is made from 3 mm ally with a 6 mm base to connect to the bottom runners it holds 4.1 liters a bit more then stock but if to big I'll just make it smaller best part of the plenum I can still use stock accelerator cable and most of the fittings. Now my only thing I'm wondering about the air regulator is it needed or can I just get rid of it? I'll post a photo of how it looks. The car is going on the dyno soon just need the new fuel pump which is coming on tuesday and tell you if I lost or made power. Before the plenum and top mount the car made 187 kw with 12.5 pound with a rb20 exhaust housing and vg30 compressor wheel and housing please let me know about the regulator

  14. Hi every one I'm looking for answers on intercooler piping for a rb20 with a top mount turbo. Will I need a front facing plumum or is there any other way. I can make the plenum that's no worries but I would like to keep the stock item as it would have no worries with my power needs.
  15. Hey guys I'm wondering about hybrid turbos I have a r32 skyline and want 220 or so at the wheels I had a hybrid turbo in before a vg30 compressor wheel and housing on a rb20 turbo and made 187 at 13.5 pound do you think the rx7 turbo would give the extra I need or just buy a to4e or gt3071
  16. Hey guys girls I'm a proud owner of a r32 skyline has been getting built for 6 months now and iv hit the point where all a need is a turbo and unsure of what to get as its a rb20 I'm not chasing huge power 230 to 250 kw I'll be happy with I was thinking a gt3071 or a to4e what you guys think
