  1. I read it wrong sorry roy
  2. Wish I had the money for that shopping list done well Roy. Is that with the td06 because it says high flowed gtt turbo correct me if I'm wrong
  3. Screamer is half done run out of pipe for now finish it at work tommorrow. Our biggest problem was the injectors are not what there ment to be that caused a lot of fuel issues.
  4. Na just stuck it on there looks good low mount Wasnt a fan of it up high
  5. 800 dollars can't go wrong
  6. Yeah mate eBay special I have a 8cm housing perfectly suites the baby 20. Luvpis look in the fab section and there is a step by step guide on how to has all photos on the job plus current setup. Can't be bothered to do it right now maybe later
  7. Td06h won't drop off boost so fast up top it's what I was recommended for the 20 with a 8cm housing so I can't see y it wouldn't be better on a 25 with a 10cm housing
  8. Well everything stayed together even with 1.8 bar through it controlled boost perfect total cost including wastegate was 160 150 for turbosmart gate 10 for pipe perfect upgrade for those that like money
  9. I'm hoping around 260kw but we will see what happens. Yeah I'm very happy with how the wastegate turned out looks great easy to access which helped last night because we had to remove the 10 pound spring as it was set to 17 pound which ended up being 22 . It's a very cost effective way to controll boost and easy access! I'm using a 7 pound spring and a 22 dollar mbc and I'm getting no spikes stays at flat 14. And make sure if your using gate pressure it's hooked up to the bottom port as we seen 1.8 bar from top port
  10. Will fit nice and snug I have about 6 mm of clearance td06h-20g is the go. lag is the bit where your waiting to get slapped in the face haha but even on my 20 I still have plent of power off boost so a 25 would be better again. Lag = power.
  11. Stock manifold with external gate mod. it's still on a very safe tune so not seeing full potential yet also running such low boost it's spooling slow
  12. The turbo loved it I'm very impressed with what it can do as he's said it is fairly responsive and making good power at low boost td06h-20g with 8cm housing is the go great turbo for 800 with everything
  13. I'm about to do it now going to be a shit job
  14. Hey everyone I just had my car tuned by jez and he did a great job. The car made 224kw on a very safe tune I need to do a few things first before advancing timing and adding boost. We had a few problems from the start and took a while to fix. My little 20 seen 25 psi off a boost spike but man it loved it that was my fault tho . Had injector problems as well but jez nutted it all out. For such little boost it pulls mega hard cans wait for more power. I highly Reconmend jez as I tuner plus he is a top bloke. plus he found how to stop stalling without a bov plumb back but this his secret Mods to car are Kando dynamics td06h-20g Gtr front mount injectors mow sure on size now after tune Decat with rsr cat back Screamer reason for safe tune getting plumbed in soon Pod with z32 afm walbro 650hp pump Stock fpr Stock coils Plugs at .8 Thanks jez and boydy for not giving up on me
  15. I got a 650hp walbro in my 32 I think they are great not noisy and seem to do the job easy install as well
  16. If you don't want massive power upgrades I read that rb20 afm can be used and they are cheaper
  17. i did that except run over it and squashed it
  18. na use the ones they came with get a screw driver and pop out the old seals use a vacume to suck out all the grim and dirt before installing new seals. its a hassle to get the injectors to sit there while putting the rail on as they dont lock in like the stock ones but after a few tantrums you will get it haha
  19. yeah im happy with it tho i made the pipe to long and almost hit the chassi so i cut and shut it with the stick at home turned out good find out how well it controlls the boost soon
  20. ok so job took a hour and turned out well here is how i did it step 1- drill a hole dead center of the flange i drilled mine at 37mm with a slugger so i could shape the pipe to sit on top should look like this step 2- now you have your hold get a hammer and something to bash the edge of the cast i used a centre punch it will just crack and leave a nice edge step 3- clean the cast with a flap disk so you have a nice surface to weld to otherwise life will be hard step 4- shape your pipe so its a nice fit i got a bit anal about this because i used a tig if you mig it dont matter so much then lightly pre heat so it just off touch hot tack in place step 5- heat so its hot around 150 to 170 degrees atleast 100mm dia around welded area to be safe heat it slow hot it heats right through then weld four points about 5 mm long to ensure it dont move while fully welding. heat again should be around 190 degrees now time to weld. if using tig do not fuze must use filler rod and it might promote cracking.i used 1.2 mig wire for this so i got a nice pool should look like this step 6- get the oxy back on there to maintain a even heat the cast will cool faster and crack we dont want this. every 15 mins do this just for less periods of time so it cools even. step 7- welding on wastegate flange set to desired angle i aimed mine at a 45 degree andgle to make plumbing into exhaust easier no need to heat this step 8- post heat agian then wrap in a leather blanket or something that will help it cool slow this is the most important step otherwise you wasted your time dont remove untill touch hot step 8 install on car and thats it i dont recommend trying this unless you understand heating and cooling of metals as welding cast can be tricky. ensure that all swarf and other bits of shit are removed so no turbine damage. ill be happy to do it for people that are not confident hope this helps people in the future ill be heat wrapping mine. it will be put to the test on friday 17 psi should give it a go. parts needed- mig or tig. stick is just to messy and cant be controlled that well 1.2 mild steel wire for tig or .9 ms wire for mig mag drill is best or get it machine cut oxy or propane length of desired pipe i think 40 mm would be max 38 was a perfect fit i used a 45 degree angle leather blanket or simular kilm would be best im using a 35mm turbosmart gate and a td06 turbo was a bitch to get in but worth it any feed back welcom few more ideas and this could be a really good thing cheers blake
  21. Iv bought the same injectors everything worked perfect must of left the old rubber bits in there
  22. I just bought a external gate turbo and in not happy with the highmount looks better down low I think. The fab part is easy I can to it if it's not a defect I'll just run a pipe and have it a bit out of the way I'm doing it tonight I'll post step by step with photos
  23. I asked old mate about the difference between the two td06 turbos and he came back with the td06l2 will fall off much earlier but all depends on what power your after I guess
  24. i asked around everywhere and in the br20 dyno results there was a 20 with a tdo5 only made just over 220 i think and seemed like full boost was around 3600rpm so for 400 more rpm you can have 260+ with the td06h-20g on a 20 all depends on your power goels and if you dont mind waiting to have your neck snaped haha
  25. hey everyone im wanting to weld my wastegate on the stock manifold. now im wondering what is the best way to do it iv searched google aqnd only got one thing and i dont really want to go that way. http://www.driftworks.com/forum/technical/142373-rb20det-manifold-external-wastegate.html post 9. i sat it on there and its not attractive asking for defect. is there any other way about it? cheers
